Rebirth: Ghost Exorciser - Chapter 564
Chapter 564: Second Aunt Qi’s Plea For Leniency
After the meal, Chi Shuyan finally heaved a sigh of relief. She went out the door and was about to look for Grandpa Qi, but as soon as she went downstairs, Second Aunt ran over and complained tearfully, “Zhenbai, Baby is weak. He stood in the yard outside for most of the night and for so much of the morning. How can his body take it?”
Second Aunt cried as she spoke, and even complained to Chi Shuyan, “Zhenbai’s wife, I know it’s all my fault. This child also admitted his mistake last night, and Zhenbai punished him. It’s bright outside and the sun is hot. What if Baby faints later?”
Chi Shuyan was stunned for a moment before she realized who Second Aunt Qi was referring to.
At the thought of someone as big as Qi Hao being addressed with such a childish name, Chi Shuyan couldn’t help but want to laugh. After listening to Second Aunt, however, her face changed slightly and she immediately looked at the man next to her.
Was this man really that ruthless?
Qi Zhenbai’s face was completely different from the gentleness he had shown in the bedroom just now. It was cold and sharp, and there was an imposing aura around him that made people afraid to say anything.
Without waiting for his wife to speak, Qi Zhenbai pursed his thin lips and said indifferently, “Second Aunt, he needs to be punished for what he did wrong. Only then will he realize his error and change, and no longer do it again!”
As soon as Qi Zhenbai finished speaking, Second Aunt started crying again. Chi Shuyan was really afraid of people crying. Seeing Second Aunt’s appearance, she hurriedly said, “Second Aunt, I’ll speak to Zhenbai about Haozi. Don’t cry, Haozi will be fine!”
Second Aunt Qi immediately looked at Chi Shuyan gratefully. She only dared to beg Zhenbai’s wife; even Haozi’s father didn’t even dare to plead with Zhenbai. She could only try; luckily, Zhenbai’s wife agreed. At the very least, Second Aunt Qi could sigh with relief.
After Chi Shuyan persuaded Second Aunt to leave, she walked over to the man and tugged at his sleeve. “Did you really make Haozi stand outside for half the night?”
Qi Zhenbai said calmly, “Mm, but I accompanied that kid for as long as he stood there!”
Chi Shuyan: …Then how come this man still had so much energy to torment her last night?
“Forget it, I’ll go take a look at Haozi first!” As soon as Chi Shuyan went out, she saw Qi Hao standing upright in the sun. His face was deathly pale and his eyes were red. He probably had never suffered like this before. There was a lot of sweat on his forehead and his whole body was drenched, as if he had been fished out of water. His lips were also deathly pale.
It was bright outside, and Chi Shuyan was really worried that this kid would faint at any moment. More importantly, she thought of Second Aunt Qi, who would definitely cry.
She immediately tugged at Qi Zhenbai’s clothes and said, “I think that’s enough. Don’t make Haozi stand anymore! His face is so pale!”
Qi Zhenbai, on the other hand, couldn’t stand the fact that this kid couldn’t even stand properly. Although he had been jealous last night and wanted to teach this kid a lesson, seeing that Qi Hao was too useless and lazy and too delicate, he had wanted to properly train this kid for Second Uncle Qi!
It just so happened that he had been meaning to train this kid. Since Second Uncle and Aunt couldn’t bear to be hard on Qi Hao, Qi Zhenbai would help them train him.
When he heard his wife plead for leniency on the kid’s behalf, Qi Zhenbai was a bit displeased, but he didn’t refuse, and had the security guards bring Qi Hao inside first.
Qi Hao didn’t know how long he had been doing his best to stand in a military posture. When two guards passed on the message to go inside, Qi Hao was wild with joy. When he raised his eyes and saw his sister-in-law, he immediately perked up and cried with the last of his strength, “Sister-in-law! You came to save me! I won’t act so cheaply anymore!”
On the side, Qi Zhenbai’s handsome face darkened again, and he suddenly regretted letting this kid off so easily.
