253: Authors Note Ending, Thoughts, Plans
It was stiff, sudden and awkward.
But anyhow, it corresponds to the scenes that Gu Suihan had seen in the first chapter as he set up his formation.
The book has reached the end.
Actually, there are some more loose ends left to tie up.
For example, the great elder of Fenglin. Disciplinarian Zhang. Feng Ran, the one who got sent to the empire as a scapegoat. As well as the body of an immortal that the Qin empire got their hands on. Also, I originally intended to include the emergence of the demonic race, which would happen because of one of the Dongfang family’s arranged marriages. Also, the immortal race backing the Equal Spirit Order. Etc, etc, etc.
But I feel that this is the more complete ending, even though perhaps the process could have been better.
Gu Suihan is dead. He was a variable in the first place, a pawn controlled by the Way of heaven to begin with.
It’s taken me more than 150 days to write this book.
I’m very tired. Both mentally and physically.
I got rid of a lot of scenes. Like an auction scene. Repeats of secret dungeons. The grand disciple or genius disciple of some major faction. Blah blah blah. Skipped writing all that.
But I’m very satisfied.
I don’t know when it happened, but eastern fantasy titles started becoming nothing but tropes.
E.g. the MC has to have some ultimate technique.
E.g. the MC can neutralise any poison EXCEPT for an aphrodisiac.
E.g. the MC must level up as easily/frequently as drinking water.
E.g. the MC must be reborn or transmigrate elsewhere, then get some super pretty wife, sister in law and /or sister. Some incredibly powerful character like that.
E.g. the MC must obtain some technique that’s amazing, no limits, overused to death. But there’s some flaw somewhere and the MC is the ONLY person who can cultivate in it.
Seriously. Aren’t you guys tired of such books?
A few days ago, someone scolded me for writing an MC with no ultimate technique. For writing an MC who got thrashed badly in the front part of the book while still trying to put on a strong front.
I’m just wondering – are you still living in the Saint Seiya era? Every punch is a Pegasus Punch? It’ll take the MC three months to finally prepare to unleash his ultimate technique? Look, I tried to write such things initially, but my head hurt from trying, so I gave it up.
When you join a new company, you don’t know anything. Would you walk around with your nose in the air?
Gu Suihan was disdainful of everything because of what he had read and his experience in life. He was someone more powerful than most others. Of course he’s qualified to be disdainful.
As for the part about why he can’t defeat his opponents, I believe I’ve talked about this before. His spirit had collapsed and he was barely keeping it together. Moreover, he was in a body he had stolen from someone else. Of course he can’t be that fucking invincible.
Whatever. I’m sure you’re all glad this book’s done. I’m too lazy to start a (discord server equivalent).
You guys can go fling shit on someone else.
Since you guys like tropey brainless stuff, why do you even bother spewing shit at me at the expense of your parents (chinese curse words generally insult either your dad or your mum)?
Fuck all of you. You assholes.
Like I said in the book, you stupid assholes should be glad that you live in a peaceful country. Bunch of idiots! Otherwise, if you stood in front of me and cursed me like that, I’d make sure you end up having to access wifi from the hospital even if I had to pay for your stay there.
What the fuck…
We’ll see what happens after I start a new book, even though I don’t think that’s going to happen. If I write one, I intend to write something more relaxing.
I’ll recommend a few decent books.
The Literary Age
It’s a very funny book, very straightforward. The entire book carries a mocking attitude toward the country, a contempt for government agencies. It’s really not bad. So much better than all those garbage novels about systems and celebrities.
Transmigrated as Lv Bu
Not too bad, system novel. You could call it an easy read. It’s barely readable, because it really has no depth. MC always manages to win big with very little, so it’s very fake. But his characterization isn’t too bad.
