Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is an Affectionate Spitfire - Chapter 1744
Chapter 1744: If Your Wife Sees It,
Qu Xiujie looked at Mao Nana and his voice suddenly softened. His eyes shone as he looked at her long legs that were almost transparent in the wind. His Adam’s apple bobbed. “Go in and sit for a while. I’ll pour you a cup of water.”
“Really?”
Mao Nana did not expect that showing weakness would work. She initially thought that she was just a passerby in Qu Xiujie’s heart but at this moment, she realized that she was more useful than this.
“Why? You don’t want to go in with me now?”
Qu Xiujie’s voice turned from gentle to sharp as he looked at Mao Nana as though he was overthinking.
“No, no, no. I want to go in. Uncle, please bring me in. It won’t be good if your wife sees us.”
Mao Nana tugged at the sleeve of Qu Xiujie’s jacket and his heart skipped a beat when he saw her gentle look. It was as though there was a strange feeling in his chest and it was slowly fermenting. It was as though the feeling would wait till he was unaware, and create a sudden ‘bang’ with an unexpected outcome.
“Uncle, why aren’t you coming?”
Seeing Qu Xiujie standing at the same spot and frowning at the man in front of her, Mao Nana secretly sized him up. The man she liked was actually so handsome. She had never thought that such a day would come.
“Let’s go. How can I not come? This is my house.”
Seeing how Mao Nana was trying to see through him, Qu Xiujie frowned coldly and thought that if Zhang Manhua misunderstood him, so be it. It had been so many years and she had never stayed by his side.
“Sure, let’s go then.”
Mao Nana nodded. The orange flame lipstick seemed to know what was on her mind. This was the most passionate moment.
“Okay.”
Qu Xiujie looked at the house and then turned to look at Mao Nana. With the mindset of dying together, he brought her into the house.
As expected, the moment the two of them entered the house, Zhang Manhua had already changed into a set of casual home clothes. The light blue coral pajamas were very thin but it perfectly outlined her graceful figure. They were curvaceous and very charming. Even though she was slightly older than Qu Xiujie, she still had the most beautiful side of a woman due to her good maintenance.
“Come in quickly. Charlie’s already prepared dinner.”
Just as they were speaking, Charlie walked into the dining room with two plates of steak. He stopped and looked at Mao Nana, who was already drooling at the door. “Miss, please come in and eat.”
“Sure, I’ll come after washing my hands.”
Mao Nana raised her head with a face full of joy. Her orange lipstick was as gentle as a cotton flower that had bloomed for a long time, making one feel tender and loving.
Although when Qu Xiujie and Mao Nana entered the house, he was clearly standing in front of her, even more eye-catching than her and seen first by Zhang Manhua and Charlie, no one cared about him and only greeted Mao Nana who was standing behind him.
“Okay, your name is?”
Zhang Manhua sat at the dining table and methodically poured three glasses of red wine. The 72-year-old red wine was the most inconspicuous bottle in that man’s manor, but it was her favorite.
“My name is Mao Nana. Sister, you can call me Nana from now on. This will make me seem closer to you.”
Mao Nana ran out from behind Qu Xiujie. Her shoulder-length golden hair swayed in the air as she entered the kitchen. She then jumped to the dining table and said to Zhang Manhua, “Sister, you’re really pretty.”
Until now, Mao Nana though that Zhang Manhua was Qu Xiujie’s wife and Charlie was merely the male housekeeper.
“You look very cute.”
Zhang Manhua praised her from the bottom of her heart. It was rare to see a girl like Mao Nana who was not afraid of others. They were clearly much older than each other and were at least thirty years older, yet Mao Nana was still willing to call Zhang Manhua ‘big sister’. It was for no other reason than that Zhang Manhua wanted to keep Mao Nana for a meal.
“Sister is too polite.”
Mao Nana turned to look at the steak on the table.
Butler Charlie’s culinary skills were superb. Even the medium-well steak looked delicious. Not only would Mao Nana be unable to resist praising it, even Qu Xiujie wanted to sit at the dining table and try to see if the steak was worth her praise.
“Who let you sit here?”
Zhang Manhua slowly and elegantly poured half a glass of red wine for the fourth glass. The atmosphere at the table became lively and Qu Xiujie, who had just sat beside Zhang Manhua, was stunned.
“Sis, what do you mean?”
Mao Nana, who was drooling over the steak, heard Qu Xiujie’s first word and raised her head in shock. “You’re his sister? Not his wife?”
Zhang Manhua was also surprised by her question. After a moment of surprise, she pursed her lips and replied, “Yes, I’m his sister, not his wife.”
“No wonder she’s so pretty. She’s just a big fairy.”
Mao Nana immediately changed her words and Qu Xiujie, who was beside her, could not take it anymore. He wanted to stand up and pull her out of the dining table but was stopped by Zhang Manhua.
“Xiujie, what are you doing? Charlie will prepare dinner later. Where are you going with Nana now?”
Zhang Manhua’s calm voice reminded her.
“Uncle, are you serious? You’re so petty that you won’t even give me a meal?”
Mao Nana looked aggrieved. She looked as though she had been wronged and looked at Qu Xiujie with tears in her eyes.
If any production team lacked someone to act differently in front of others and behind their backs , it would definitely be Mao Nana. That was because no matter how Qu Xiujie looked at it, this Mao Nana was a drama queen who could coax everyone around him.
Perhaps, Mao Nana had a cute face, her style of doing things, or her personality was well-liked by the elders… Anyway, in Qu Xiujie’s time of boredom, it was Mao Nana who was always by his side.
This relationship that they nurtured after being together for a long time actually easily broke away from the time when Qu Xiujie first saw Mao Nana. Mao Nana acted like a little Zhang Manhua in the house and had been ‘doing evil’ to Qu Xiujie. It was just that every time, Qu Xiujie would choose to forgo it.
It seemed that this little kid had specially come to see him.
