Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is an Affectionate Spitfire - Chapter 1344
Chapter 1344: Memories on the Edge of Recollection
Pei Ge was silent for a long time following his declaration.
She was just too bewildered to react.
“You really can’t remember anything?”
He stared at her, hoping that the woman in his arms could remember their first ever meeting from many years ago.
To his disappointment, she shook her head.
“I don’t remember anything…”
Although she had heard all that, she still could not remember anything.
“Didn’t you have a dream about us? Do you remember a third person in that dark room?”
He gently guided her seeing that she could truly not recall a thing.
With a frown, she started sifting through her memories.
She did have some recollection of that dream…
Darkness…
Overlapping silhouettes…
Noisy human voices…
‘You actually let that boy run away! This daddy here will kill you!’
“Ahhhh!”
With a screech, her face turned white. She was hyperventilating, clearly feeling very awful.
“Pei Ge, Pei Ge, are you alright?!”
Ji Ziming panicked when he heard her scream and tightly hugged her.
“What’s wrong?!”
She returned to herself upon hearing his repeated calls.
Her eyes were still unfocused when they shifted onto him. After a long while, she finally said softly, “I-I’m fine…”
“Nonsense! Your face is all white. Are you feeling unwell? I’ll bring you to a hospital!”
With that, he pulled her toward the door.
However, after taking a few steps, he was stopped by her.
“It’s fine. I really don’t need to go to a hospital. My head is just aching slightly…”
She lightly tugged the corner of his shirt and shook her head.
Despite that, the man’s furrow did not ease as he regarded her with skepticism.
“No. You have amnesia, so we should still make a trip to a hospital.”
Seeing that he was adamant on bringing her to a hospital, she pressed her lips together helplessly.
“I’m truly fine. My head hurts only because of the memories you told me about. I-I can’t remember it… When I tried recalling any of it, my head started hurting…”
She found the situation just then a little queer.
She seemed to have recalled something, but now, she had totally forgotten about it. She did not know what she had recalled at that moment.
It was as though she had just had a dream. Upon waking up from it, she could no longer remember anything.
“Then, don’t think about it.”
The man tenderly and gently hugged her, lowering his head to look at her wan face with an ache in his heart.
“Still, we should visit a hospital. This isn’t the first time this has happened; I’m worried…”
“Hey, I know myself, and I’m good!”
Despite her insistence, he did not give in to her and resolutely told her that he would bring her to a hospital tomorrow.
Hence, she could only exasperatedly nod her head in agreement.
