Provocative Fiery Wife: My Superior is an Affectionate Spitfire - Chapter 1246
Chapter 1246: This is my house with her.
“Hey, Ji Ziming! Wait—”
What she did not expect, though, was for the man whom she was trying to drive out of the house to start questioning her at this point.
“Right. Where’s your husband?”
The man was calm and expressionless when he asked that, yet she could tell that he knew that she and Egger were not truly a married couple.
“He…”
Just as she was thinking of how to answer his question, which would not rouse his suspicion further, Egger’s voice sounded from the door to her apartment.
“Hm? Mr. Ji, what are you in our house this early in the morning? Is something the matter?”
Turning around, the two saw the newest arrival in a tapered suit.
In his hand was a carefully packed breakfast.
She was shocked to see him timely appear here.
In fact, Egger had come prepared as the food he was carrying was sufficient to dispel any suspicion this man had toward them.
As such, when she saw him, she quickly walked over.
“Haven’t I told you that I’ll prepare breakfast? Why did you still go out and buy this?”
She glared at him. Despite her expression not being right, Ji Ziming still felt jealousy over this seemingly intimate interaction.
“I just don’t want you to feel tired.”
“…”
Seeing their intimacy, his composure disappeared at once and his dashing face darkened until it turned chilly.
“Mr. Ji, why don’t you stay and have breakfast with us?”
The other man flashed him a smile.
This made him even more glum.
“How is that possible? He must be busy with other stuff.”
Pei Ge was the first to disagree when she heard his words.
The longer she interacted with the man, the more chances there were for her to arouse his suspicion. Since no one was truly married among those present in this apartment, to prevent Ji Ziming from realizing it, they needed to have less contact.
However, to her surprise, the man did not reject the other’s invitation.
“Great. It’s just nice as I’m quite hungry.”
He narrowed his eyes coldly at Egger; his voice was the chilliest and sounded very murderous when he responded.
“Then, let’s have it now.”
All these did not faze the latter, though, and the smile on his face remained bright.
“…”
She was about to be driven mad as she watched the two men pit themselves against each other.
Currently, she only wanted to cut the Gordian knot and settle her uncle’s family quickly. She knew she needed to break free from these two as soon as possible; unfortunately, she had to wait for a couple more days to do so…
