Pirate’s Achievements System - Chapter 296
Chapter 296: Shaking the Sea Again
With Vander Decken being taken care of by Ron, the relocation of Fish-Man Island immediately became a priority. However, due to the island’s large size, it would take some time to inform all of the residents.
Regarding the relocation of Fish-Man Island, most of the Fish-Men and Merfolk’s reactions were astonishment and surprise, and there wasn’t a significant amount of opposition.
This is understandable.
If you’re living somewhere peacefully, and suddenly you’re told to relocate, your initial reaction might be to resist. But if not just you, but your entire home is being moved, your reaction is likely to shift from opposition to astonishment.
…
Sea Forest.
Shirahoshi was swimming through the corals, searching for something. Upon closer inspection, one could see a tiny doll, no larger than her fingertip, seated on her fair-as-jade shoulder.
Beside Shirahoshi, Nami was flying at the level of her shoulder, accompanying her. At the same time, she was talking to Ron.
“How are you planning to solve the issue with Fish-Man Island’s bubbles? Are you going to use the magic tower?”
Nami asked Ron.
After dealing with Vander Decken, Ron had promised to protect Shirahoshi during her stroll in the Sea Forest. Meanwhile, Neptune had formally started handling the relocation matters.
One serious issue that Nami had come to understand was that Fish-Man Island was protected by enormous double-layered bubbles. These bubbles could only remain stable in the waters around Yarukiman Mangrove, which meant that they would burst if moved elsewhere.
In other words, if they left the waters around Yarukiman Mangrove, Ron would have to find a way to maintain the existence of these bubbles or the air environment on Fish-Man Island.
“Using the magic tower would be difficult.”
Ron shook his head and explained, “Replacing the bubbles with magic from the magic tower would require much higher demands than altering the environment of Alabasta. Given the size of Fish-Man Island, we would need to set up hundreds of magic towers at the very least, which is currently nearly impossible.”
“Then what do you plan to do? Lift Fish-Man Island to the surface?”
Nami looked at Ron with some confusion.
While lifting Fish-Man Island to the surface was an option, the island’s environment was more suitable for underwater living. If moved to the surface, many things would be damaged.
“No, I plan to remove a few Yarukiman Mangroves.”
Ron smiled at Nami and continued, “There are so many Yarukiman Mangroves, taking down a few shouldn’t be a problem. As for replanting them… I believe with Monet’s control over life force, it should be relatively easy to maintain.”
“Huh?”
Upon hearing Ron’s words, Nami was utterly shocked for a moment. It took her a while before her lips twitched, and she said, “Moving Fish-Man Island is one thing, but removing Yarukiman Mangroves… Are you planning to… disguise yourself right under the World Government’s nose?!”
It wasn’t just a disguise.
It was like chopping off their nose right in front of them.
Yarukiman Mangroves, also known as Sabaody Archipelago, was adjacent to both Mary Geoise, the capital of the World Government, and Marine Headquarters. Moreover, it was the backyard of the World Noble Celestial Dragons!
If Ron were to take a few pieces of Yarukiman Mangroves, it would undoubtedly cause a major upheaval, likely provoking more than just one Admiral from the Marines!
Upon hearing Nami’s metaphor, Ron couldn’t help but chuckle and said, “Disguise is one way to put it. I think it’s more like undergoing surgery for a new face… Don’t worry, it won’t be too dangerous.”
He looked up at the sky above and continued, “Once I reveal myself, the World Government will be extremely vigilant without knowing my intentions. Their first move will be to take precautions. Even if they send CP0, their primary task will be to protect the Celestial Dragons.”
“As for the Marines… Marine Headquarters has already relocated to the New World. They’ve swapped positions with their original G1 Branch base. Even if the Admirals were to come, it would take some time. That window should be enough for me to dismantle some Yarukiman Mangroves and pack them up.”
Hearing Ron’s words, Nami pondered for a moment and found it feasible, but she still felt somewhat helpless. To her, this still seemed like a rather crazy plan.
Relocating Fish-Man Island underwater could be done without causing much commotion, but dismantling the Sabaody Archipelago would be explosive news…
The world’s attention was currently focused on the New World, on figures like Blackbeard and Whitebeard. Once Ron started making significant moves in Sabaody, the world’s attention would immediately shift to Alabasta, potentially stirring up some troublesome situations.
However, upon closer reflection, it was an action that had to be taken. Leaving Shirahoshi, who possessed the power of controlling Sea Kings, in Fish-Man Island beneath Mary Geoise wasn’t a reassuring option at all.
Nami rubbed her forehead, feeling a headache coming on.
Shirahoshi didn’t know much about the Yarukiman Mangroves. Her knowledge of the world above the sea was quite limited. Therefore, upon hearing Ron talk about taking a few trees, she wasn’t extremely surprised. However, noticing Nami’s expression and her words, Shirahoshi remarked with some surprise:
“Red trees… Are they trees that are red in color? I’ve heard about trees growing on land, and I’ve always wanted to see one.”
“Um.”
Ron rubbed his chin and said, “Yarukiman Mangroves might be a bit different from what you’re imagining.”
Shirahoshi blinked her eyes and added, “I think I’ve also heard that Yarukiman Mangroves are used to produce bubbles…”
“That’s actually true.”
Ron nodded, not finding Shirahoshi’s innocent questions annoying at all. He patiently explained with a smile, “Generally, trees don’t grow as large as Yarukiman Mangroves. The root system of Yarukiman Mangroves can form islands, and each of these trees can be as big as a small island.”
Hearing Ron’s description, Shirahoshi was finally astonished. She exclaimed, “Trees as big as islands? Then… how can we take them away?”
“That’s where I’ll need your help.”
Ron looked at Shirahoshi with a light smile, his gaze meeting her gem-like eyes.
Shirahoshi blinked in surprise. “Huh? Me?”
“Yes, in fact, Shirahoshi, you… possess the ability to communicate with Sea Kings. It’s just that you haven’t learned to control it yet. I can assist you in using this ability to summon some Sea Kings to help. Even moving Yarukiman Mangroves wouldn’t be difficult, let alone Fish-Man Island.”
Ron revealed Shirahoshi’s ability.
Those colossal Sea Kings, with lengths exceeding five kilometers, a group of five or six of them could easily lift Fish-Man Island, and Yarukiman Mangroves would be a simple task for them.
Moreover, Ron suspected that there might be even larger Sea Kings in this world. After all, the New World had creatures like Zunesha, which could carry an entire island. Sea Kings of a similar size to Zunesha would likely exist, and they could easily overpower the likes of Jack the Drought. Even dealing with them as Marine Admirals would be quite challenging.
So, regardless of other ancient weapons, just considering Shirahoshi’s Sea King ability, it truly lived up to its reputation. It was a genuine power capable of ruling the seas and possessing the potential to destroy the world!
