Pika Pika No Mi In Marvel - Chapter 46
Chapter 46: Freedom, Mutant Hunter, Agent Zero
Yu Feng’s words were spoken so casually and nonchalantly that they didn’t sound like something that could come from the mouth of an eight or nine-year-old child.
Some of the people on Caliban’s side couldn’t help but look at Yu Feng with astonishment. This kid had quite the audacity!
Especially Caliban, in his perception, he couldn’t sense that Yu Feng was a mutant. How could a non-mutant be so arrogant? Was he asking for trouble?
Strangely enough, Mystique wasn’t too surprised by Yu Feng’s words. She simply looked at him helplessly and asked, “Are you really prepared to stay? You should know that those brainwashed mutant puppets, I’ve encountered a few before, and each of them was quite powerful… By the way, Yu, who exactly did you provoke?”
“Essex Corporation,” Yu Feng replied succinctly.
It was clear that number “Zero-Seven-Zero” was undoubtedly from the Essex Corporation. Discovering that their “prey” had disappeared, they must be getting anxious and would soon start searching for clues.
Originally, Yu Feng had no interest in those people. It was like one person looking at a group of ants—hardly worth a second glance. But hearing what Caliban said about brainwashed mutant puppets, it suddenly became more intriguing. It seemed that he had attracted the attention of some high-ranking individuals within the Essex Corporation. That was perfect. He could gather more information about the corporation.
“Essex Corporation?” Nightcrawler murmured in confusion, not understanding the significance of the name. He instinctively looked at Caliban.
“Cough!!” Caliban cleared his throat but remained calm, not saying another word. He was known for being familiar with Mystique—acting alone, cunning, and sly. However, seeing Mystique’s earlier reaction, seemingly taking the words of an eight or nine-year-old child seriously, left Caliban somewhat puzzled.
Mystique saw Caliban’s expression and knew that he wouldn’t provide any more free information without compensation. However, she didn’t particularly care about the Essex Corporation. As long as a group involved brainwashed mutant puppets, they were undoubtedly a mysterious and dangerous force.
She glanced at Yu Feng again and said seriously, “Yu, have you really thought through the decision to stay? With your abilities, you may not have any problems, but what about Jean and this… Nightcrawler?”
“Don’t worry, if those people dare to touch them, they will surely regret it,” Yu Feng smiled confidently, showing no concern.
As for Jean, her little face remained completely calm, without any ripples. She simply blinked her eyes curiously, looking at Caliban’s peculiar expression, which made Caliban feel a little uneasy.
“Uh, actually, my name is Kurt Wagner,” Nightcrawler interjected, babbling on the side.
Mystique couldn’t help but force a bitter smile. These three kids had provoked a powerful force that specialized in capturing mutants, and yet they remained so calm. Yu Feng could be excused, but the other two…
Even though Yu Feng was powerful, there was no way he could handle a few people alone!
“Pong!!” Suddenly, at that moment, the iron door on Caliban’s side was opened again.
Following closely were a dozen mercenaries armed with assault rifles, and at the same time, a man with neatly combed hair, who resembled a Korean, walked in wearing a distinctive special agent suit.
Accompanying him were several individuals similarly dressed as agents. They appeared lazy, but their eyes revealed a deadly glare whenever they looked up.
This kind of intensity couldn’t be compared to the mere intimidation tactics of ordinary mercenaries! These were the kind of people who had taken the lives of at least a hundred others!
“Mhm?” Yu Feng looked up and glanced at these people…
He saw the former Essex Corporation employee from the circus, wearing glasses and a suit, bowing and following behind those obviously extraordinary agents. Caliban even flattered the agent who looked like a Korean by saying, “Agent Zero, welcome.”
“Agent Zero?” Yu Feng’s mind stirred. The pieces fell into place.
He suddenly understood. Agent Zero, also known as Zero, was a member of the Stryker X-Weapon Program before the reversal of the future, always working for Stryker. But now, after the reversal, had this guy switched to working for the Essex Corporation?
“Agent Zero, an elusive special mutant, a hunter of free mutants, in control of a team of mutant hunters,” Caliban looked at Agent Zero and smiled. “I wonder, Mr. Agent Zero, what brings you here with such grandeur? Just a friendly reminder, as long as Mr. Agent Zero has enough money, Caliban can provide anything you desire.”
Agent Zero looked at Caliban with interest, a corner of his mouth curling up into a smile. Whoosh! Suddenly, a ghostly gun appeared in his hand, pointing at Caliban. “I heard that Caliban likes money very much.”
“I don’t know if Caliban likes it or not, but I think you might like this,” he said.
However, at that moment, a cold female voice suddenly sounded. And just as Agent Zero’s neck was about to be pierced, an extremely chilling blade appeared mysteriously.
Agent Zero’s expression tensed, and the others focused their gaze.
Looking over, they saw a woman dressed in ninja attire, who had appeared eerily behind Agent Zero. She had a cold and beautiful demeanor, her eyes filled with a murderous glint.
