Pika Pika No Mi In Marvel - Chapter 36
Chapter 36: One-Year Anniversary of the Transmigration
“Charles…”
Hank couldn’t help but sigh again at his words.
He understood Charles’s thoughts.
Charles had previously told him about some things regarding the future that he saw in the mind of “Logan.”
The devastation of mutants under the onslaught of Sentinel robots, the X-Men’s desperate struggle that ultimately led to their annihilation…
Perhaps those scenes of death had deeply affected Charles. Coupled with the loss of their fallen comrades during the first battle, Charles might have developed a psychological shadow when it came to establishing the X-Men.
“Charles…”
Hank murmured again, his gaze dimming as he remembered their deceased former comrades.
“Hank, I have a task for you,” Professor X’s voice suddenly sounded.
“Hmm? What is it?”
Hank raised his head in slight surprise.
“Train Yu and Jean well. From those two children, I can faintly see shadows of myself and Erik from years ago. Perhaps… if there comes a day when I’m truly unable to do it, they can help me accomplish everything, things that I couldn’t do,” Professor X said, a reminiscing smile appearing on his face.
“Oh?”
Hank was momentarily taken aback but soon caught the keywords.
Training?!
This word wasn’t casually used. “Teaching” was for students, while “training” meant… warriors!
Realizing this, Hank’s eyes immediately brightened.
“Charles, you…”
“All right, Hank. Now I can shoulder everything for the children, but as you said, we must always prepare for the worst in the future, right?” Professor X smiled, then wheeled his chair towards the exit of the base.
If Yu Feng were present at this moment and heard Professor X’s words, he would undoubtedly be speechless.
What did it mean to see shadows of himself and Erik from years ago on Himself and Jean?
Could it be that he acknowledged the kind of relationship he had with Erik?!
Ahem~~
At this moment, Yu Feng couldn’t hear the conversation between Professor X and Hank. He was in the midst of light assimilation training with Jean.
Yu Feng discovered that during the light assimilation state, there would be continuous mutual nourishment between his glint particles and the Phoenix Force within Jean’s body.
In other words, his light power would be constantly strengthened and reinforced by the power of the Phoenix Force.
This was something that had only benefits and no harm, so Yu Feng naturally continued doing it.
In the following days, within the mutant school, the students could always see Jean and Yu holding hands and running around. They rarely let go of each other’s hands.
Whether it was strolling on the playground, running, reading in the library, or eating in the cafeteria… wherever Jean and Yu were, they could be seen holding hands, displaying a sweet appearance.
This scene left many students speechless and somewhat envious.
Under the influence of this scene, many mutant children also began early romances. One by one, these seven or eight-year-old kids followed Jean and Yu’s example and openly held hands and started dating at school.
Well, one or two would be fine.
In the eyes of the teachers, such early romances among seven or eight-year-old children were nothing to be concerned about.
But when too many children paired up and held hands, and they were all seven, eight, or nine-year-olds, even affecting the class schedules, it left some of the teachers speechless.
They all cracked down on it immediately.
With Professor X and Hank looking after Jean and Yu, there wouldn’t be any issues. However, those mutant kids who imitated early romances were instantly bewildered. They cried and complained about the unfairness, and some even started to resent Jean and Yu.
Yu Feng simply ignored all of this.
Xavier’s dreams probably didn’t anticipate that his intention was for Jean to become more outgoing through her interaction with Yu, thus integrating herself into the group.
But little did he expect that Yu Feng had no interest in interacting with any other kids besides Jean. Instead of making friends with others, Jean unintentionally attracted a bunch of “enemies.”
Fortunately, Jean didn’t mind.
As long as Yu was with her, everything was enough.
Unknowingly, a year had passed.
From the moment Yu Feng traveled to this Marvel world in 1975, it had now become 1976, marking the one-year anniversary of Yu Feng’s transmigration.
“Yu, today is your birthday. What gift do you want?”
Hank had specially modified a training room for Jean and Yu.
This training room was located deep within the base. It had spherical metal walls that resembled the ones in the Cerebro Chamber, and special pulsating energy that could distort light particles covering the walls.
This pulsating energy that distorted light particles was specifically designed to enhance control over light during training.
At the same time, Yu Feng could perform light-speed movement within it. Hank had developed specialized testing instruments that could precisely record Yu Feng’s movement speed on the spherical walls to an accuracy of 0.0001 seconds.
It had to be said that Hank was indeed like a Doraemon-style inventor, always inventing and creating things that Yu Feng could make good use of in a magical way.
For example, the bracelet Yu Feng was currently wearing on his hand.
This bracelet was called the “Light Particle Control Bracelet,” which helped Yu Feng control more light particles with ease. It could also store light energy within it.
When needed, all the stored light energy could be released, enough to unleash a supermassive laser beam similar to Lux’s ultimate move.
After completing a round of light-speed movement training, Yu Feng’s figure appeared in the center of the training room on a circular platform connected to the room’s exit.
Jean stood there, smiling at him.
Upon hearing Jean’s words, Yu Feng couldn’t help but pause for a moment, then quickly realized.
‘Oh, that’s right. Today seems to be the one-year anniversary of my transmigration.’
