The driver got out and walked over to the younger version of Professor X. “Mr. Charles Francis Xavier? Someone asked you to have a chat.”
“Oh? Really? Raven, someone invited me to have a chat. What do you think?” Young Charles said with a smile. He doesn’t have such deep thoughts now, and he doesn’t have a great heart. He’s still young and inexperienced. Wesley smiled at everything.
“Whatever,” Raven said indifferently.
“Then let me see.” Charles put his fingers in the direction of his temples and looked at the car. To his surprise, he didn’t see anything. It was as if there was no one in the car, which interested him. “Good, let’s go and see.”
The driver led the way to the side of the car and opened the door. Charles glanced inside and saw an old man sitting there smiling at him. He knew this man well and he often appeared on television and on the news on missions. Wesley Gibson, the super-genius of the twentieth world, the hero of two stops in the United States, and the founder of G Group. Charles could name countless titles, but why was the old man inviting him now? Then he sat in the car and Raven got in. There was enough room in the back of the limousine.
“Nice to meet you, Charles.” Wesley reached out and shook hands with Charles, followed by Raven.
“I’m also happy to meet a legendary figure, but why did you look for me?” Charles said seriously. It must be a big deal for such a figure to find him.
“Let’s talk as we walk. I need to take you to a place where you will work in the future.” Wesley asked the driver to drive, and the car went directly to the airport. A military plane was waiting, and the car drove up and took off.
“What makes you think I’ll work for you or the government?” Charles asked.
Wesley laughed. “Child, I know you’re confident, but confidence doesn’t mean you have everything under control. There’s a lot you lack. I’ll tell you when we get there. What I’m doing is only good for you.” Then Wesley said nothing more.
The plane landed on the outskirts of Washington. After driving for a short distance, a huge building appeared in front of them. It was only two stories high, but it covered a large area and there were many buildings, but it was empty.
The car drove in without any obstacles. The place was indeed empty now, but there was one person in the underground research institute. This person used to be a Central Intelligence Agency technician, but he asked for it for Wesley. He was Hank Beast and his supersonic plane.
When a vehicle arrived at the gate, Wesley asked the driver to stop and then began to walk with the two of them. “This is the place I built, and before I started looking, I started preparing ‘The X-Files.’ I think you know very well what X stands for.”
“Yes, a gene,” Charles said.
“That’s right. When I just graduated from the military school, I was in charge of forming the first Marine Corps. At that time, there was only one battalion, but I could choose soldiers from the active troops. But to be honest, at that time, there were not many soldiers on the mainland, and there were no special talents. I could only train from scratch. But I really met two.”
“This guy can’t be killed no matter what. One’s nails can extend and are unusually sharp, and the other has sharp thorns between his fingers. His nickname is also very interesting. One is called Wolverine and the other is Piercing Sword Tiger. They are two brothers. From the beginning of the Civil War until the end of World War II, they only know how to be soldiers.”
“At that time, I didn’t let them join the Marine Corps because it needed to train ordinary people into elites, and they would lose their meaning if they went, so I didn’t call them.”
“During World War II, we had just landed in Normandy. Frontline Command always went ashore. That night, I was outside smoking a cigar when a red-skinned guy appeared behind me.” When Wesley said this, Charles and Raven both became nervous.
“There’s no need to be nervous. I’m standing here, right? This guy is stupid. He can teleport, but there’s a sound every time he moves, and he’s careful to approach me little by little. The sound is so loud that it’s difficult for me not to hear it. So I held the pistol under my armpit. When I heard the sound behind me, I fired several times, but this guy disappeared in the end. He’s probably not dead.”
“So what’s here?” Charles asked as they walked across the hall and were met by two metal doors. One was marked with three connected Xs, and the other was marked with a huge X. It looked strange.
“The three connected X’s represent the limit. This is where the ultimate agents are, and this big X represents you. This is X-Men headquarters. How is it? Are you starting to be interested?”
“Are you a mutant too?” Charles finally asked.
“No, but there are some talented people in normal people. I know your ability, but I don’t know why you can’t see my mind, and I can’t see other people’s minds. Okay, children, let’s go in. There’s already a companion inside.”
The door opened and the three of them walked in. “Hank McCoy, your companion, and a remarkable scientist,” Wesley said, pointing at Hank, who was coming toward them.
“It’s my honor to be appreciated by you. There is no greater scientist than you.” Hank McCoy was not complimentary. He said it.
Wesley smiled and said, “This is Charles and this is Raven. They’re both as different as you are.”
After they got to know each other, Charles asked, “What’s the purpose of you sitting like this?”
“Peace. Maybe you don’t believe it, but the number of mutants you are talking about has been increasing. That’s the truth. Now your reputation is not obvious, but you can’t deny that it is beginning to increase. Moreover, some of the things that mutants do endanger world peace, so I need to prepare in advance. Otherwise, in the future, there may be a war between ordinary people and mutants. This is very scary. People will kill their future.”
“If we don’t teach mutants, what should we call them?” Raven asked curiously.
“Evolved, do you know how humans came about?” Wesley asked.
“Didn’t the monkey evolve?” Raven said the fastest.
“Indeed, it’s wrong to call it a monkey, but isn’t this evolution too fast? In different places on Earth, so many human ancestors have evolved at the same time. This is a global genetic mutation. Time is very fast, isn’t it similar to now? But it’s very difficult to reach such a fast speed now. After all, the development of technology has promoted new mutations, but it has also blocked the speed of mutation. So am I wrong to call you evolvers?”
“You think this is a front shot of human evolution on a large scale?” Charles asked.
