Chapter 184: Special Tactics for Picking Up Girls

Phil Coulson led his men into the room. He looked at the two men lying on the floor and then at Wesley. He did not know why Wesley had done this. The two men were no match for Wesley.
Wesley, on the other hand, was just having a bad sense of humor. He didn’t need it anymore. He walked over and picked the man up. Then, with a tug, he got her to her feet.
Sky saw Phil Coulson, and her face grew even uglier. She had mixed feelings about Phil Coulson. Inviting her to join S.H.I.E.L.D. as a consultant was tantamount to giving her a future and also a trust, but she did not do it well herself.
After Wesley pulled Skye up and sat her on the sofa, he handed Miles Leyden over to Melinda for questioning. He himself helped Fitz and Simmons look for evidence. The black envelope was sandwiched in a pile of documents by Wesley. It was not time for it to be found.
Getting Miles Leyden to keep lying and then putting the evidence in front of him so that the ugliest side of him would be discovered was Wesley’s goal. Picking up girls required special methods and tactics. That was it.
The two of them had experienced many things, and it was not easy to completely break them up, so they needed some special tactics.
“Phil, let’s take it back and look for it. Now we need time to go to Hong Kong, and the distance is not short,” Wesley said directly. There is no time to waste now. As for who to catch, what should we do next? Wesley doesn’t have a plan yet, and he needs to think about it on the plane. It’s not clear whether the plan will go smoothly, and plans are never as fast as changes.
“Okay, Melinda, let’s talk about it on the plane.” Phil Coulson didn’t say a word to Sky.
Simons and Fitz were confused about this matter. The two of them were innocent enough. A nerd who had just left school still needed some exercise. Sometimes Wesley admired Phil Coulson for bringing these people into the elite.
Back on the plane, Wesley locked Miles Leyden and Sky into the interrogation room and then looked for Phil Coulson. “Let’s go straight to Hong Kong. Chen Haoran must still be in Hong Kong, and this is an opportunity.”
Phil Coulson nodded. “It’s indeed an opportunity. I’ll go at the same time as Melinda and say that you keep Fitz and Simons looking for evidence.”
Wesley happily accepted the assignment and went directly to the conference room. “You two keep looking and see what evidence there is. I’ll listen to their conversation.”
Wesley pulled up the surveillance footage from the interrogation room and watched and listened to the two men talk.
Miles Leyden was sizing up the interrogation room. Then he looked at Sky and asked, “I guess the Divine Shield Bureau won’t go through the proper interrogation procedure?”
Sky looked at him and then said, “They don’t have time for that.”
“Are you defending them?” Miles Leyden demanded. “These people are denying our basic rights. Everything they do is what we despise. Privacy, censorship…”
Sky suddenly barked, “Stop defending yourself. You’re leaking information about other people.”
Wesley turned off the surveillance because he knew that the time had come. The two of them now had different views. One of them had betrayed others and was still there accusing SHIELD of having a problem. The other now considered himself a member of SHIELD. It was a good result.
Looking at Fitz and Simmons, who had not yet found the location of the evidence, Wesley stepped forward to help them. In a few moments, he found the black envelope and opened it. There were some bank notes.
“I found it. This guy opened accounts in several banks with a deposit of about a million dollars, the day after the leak.” Wesley waved the evidence in his hand, and Simons and Fitz were relieved.
“I’ll take care of them.” Wesley turned and walked toward the interrogation room. Fitz looked at him strangely.
Simons looked and pushed Fitz with his hand. “What are you looking at?”
“Don’t you think Wesley is a little strange today?” Fitz said, tilting his head and thinking.
“Is it strange? He has always wanted to ask Skye out for dinner, but Skye didn’t agree. Now that he has seen the real boyfriend, Wesley should be… should be in some kind of mood?” Simons suddenly didn’t know how to describe it. It seemed a little strange.
Wesley pushed open the door to the interrogation room, and the argument that had stopped between the two of them suddenly fell silent. Wesley came to the table and looked at the two people sitting opposite each other. “Mr. Miles Leyden, is there anything you want to say now? It’s not too late to say it.”
Miles Leyden said stubbornly, “I don’t need to listen to you. What you are doing now is illegal. I will make these things public.”
Wesley nodded and said, “Very good. Then while you’re at it, make this public. Miles Leyden, who has always promoted freedom of information, sells other people’s information at a high price. This is freedom of information, right?” Wesley opened the black envelope in his hand and placed the bills inside one by one on the table. “The day after the leak, you opened several accounts at different banks and deposited a total of one million dollars. You’re really an upright person.”
“What?” Sky looked at Miles Leyden with some anger.
“I can explain,” Miles Leyden said to Sky in a begging tone.
“I don’t need to hear your explanation. I just want to ask if this is true or not? A million dollars? Is it true or not?” Sky’s words were full of disappointment. Even just now, she still wanted to defend her boyfriend, but now she feels the deception and betrayal and her faith has collapsed.
“It’s true, but…”
“This fucking bastard…” Sky shouted angrily.
“This is a million dollars… A million dollars can change my life, can change our lives… I also investigated that woman, she has no malice…”
“People who buy information with money are never good people. Have you thought about that?” Sky continued to question.
“Of course I know, but that woman doesn’t seem like a bad person. She said that I’m very talented and should get more. I traced the source of the funds. It’s just a biological research institute.”
Wesley laughed beside him. “Oh, a biological institute needs to break into the database of S.H.I.E.L.D. and find someone with superpowers. A biological institute or something?”
“Studying centipedes.” Miles Leyden is a classic example of self-deception. He can say so many suspicious things with such a clear conscience. Wesley looks down on such people.
“Studying centipedes and then invading S.H.I.E.L.D. Now it’s kidnapping, and a person’s life is being threatened. Mr. Miles Leyden, you’ve broken a lot of laws. At the same time, you’d better pray that this person’s life is not in danger, or you’ll have another charge on you.”
