My Special Ability is Perfect Replication - Chapter 110
Chapter 110: Teaming Up Again, Too Badass
“How do you feel, Ling’er?”
Ling Jiu and Ai Yuhe looked at Yang Ling’er anxiously; she had just taken the Ginseng of Life.
“My body is heating up. I feel warm, like dipping into a hot spring. It feels so good!”
At first, Yang Ling’er looked as if she was enjoying it. Soon, however, she frowned and appeared to be in pain.
“What’s wrong, Ling’er?”
“My legs are itchy!”
Yang Ling’er pulled up her pants, revealing her legs, which had been amputated above-knee and fully healed.
The remaining limbs were wriggling violently as granulation tissues grew like grass sprouting out of the ground.
In macroscopic response, Ling’er’s legs were regrowing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
“The amputated legs are regrowing!”
Ai Yuhe exclaimed, “Your legs are growing, Ling’er!”
Yang Ling’er nodded, her body shivering with excitement, tears flowing down her cheeks.
It was the tears of joy.
Heaven knows how many days, how many years she had been waiting for a moment like this?
Only Heaven knew how much discrimination and dirty looks she had received.
“Don’t cry, Ling’er. You should be happy about it!”
Ling Jiu held his sister’s hand.
The Ginseng of Life did not let him down. Ling’er’s amputated legs were regrowing.
After washing away the goo and blood, the new limbs looked soft, like a newborn’s leg.
“How do you feel, Ling’er?”
“I feel good. Just that they are still weak.”
“This is normal. Your legs have just regrown like that of a newborn, delicate and weak. You have to exercise more if you want to walk again.”
Dr. Zhao explained with a smile. “Besides, the effect of the Ginseng of Life is beyond your imagination. It has only exhausted part of its vitality to regrow your legs.
“More vitality is stored in your body and will continue to transform your body, strengthening you.”
“Thank you, Ling Jiu!”
…
When the three of them came out of the hospital, the square was thronged with people. Apparently, the leaderboard was being updated again.
“He scored 3.03 million! First place again. It is his fourth consecutive win!”
“Ling Jiu is amazing! He is on another level!”
“Second place’s Zhou Ji has only 2.1 million points. Third place’s Christopher Adam has 2-million points. They are way behind Ling Jiu!”
“I am even worse. I am not even close. I feel like dying!”
“Before comparing yourself with Ling Jiu, look yourself in the mirror first!”
“Watch your stinking mouth!”
Hearing the discussions among the trainees, Yang Ling’er was euphoric. “You are amazing, Ling Jiu! You are first again!”
Before this, she was still thinking of challenging Ling Jiu. But now, that thought had vanished. She was happy to see her elder brother becoming strong.
“Of course! Don’t you know who I am?” Ling Jiu bragged.
“How strong are you, really, Ling Jiu?” Ai Yuhe asked. “I remember you didn’t go hunting again after rescuing us back to the training camp on Saturday. That means you achieved 3.03-million scores just by hunting on Thursday and Friday. How did you do that?”
“As much as I wanted to keep a low profile, my ability wouldn’t allow me!”
Ling Jiu was as proud as a peacock. “In fact, I tried to slow down and go easy on Thursday and Friday.”
“If Zhou Ji, Christopher Adam, and Hirano Hatake heard what you say, they might knock the living daylights out of you.”
“They are not my match.”
Ai Yuhe rolled her eyes. “Stopping bragging!”
“I brag because I can.”
Ling Jiu chortled. “How about we form a team next week? I guarantee you will have something to brag about after that.”
Brag my foot! Just when Ai Yuhe was about to retort, Yang Ling’er spoke. “Will we become a burden for you?”
Yang Ling’er was not concerned about the result. She was just reunited with her elder brother, and all she wanted was to be with him. She was genuine.
“A burden? No!”
“I have done the math; as long as our scores are above 2.2 million, making it to the top three isn’t a problem. We just need to hunt two hundred and twenty Class 6 direbeasts each.
“That’s six hundred sixty for the three of us. Two hundred twenty direbeasts each day. Frankly, it isn’t challenging at all. We just need to be focused, and that’s all.”
Since duplicating Ling’er’s Five-Element Manipulation arcana and getting his hands on the seven special weapons, killing direbeasts could not have been easier for Ling Jiu.
He could easily kill 100-200 direbeasts, and if he went at it more seriously, breaking the 300-mark was not even a problem.
Not to mention the combat strength of Ai Yuhe and Yang Ling’er, who occupied eighth and ninth places respectively on the leaderboard.
Securing the top three places was not going to be a problem if the three came together as a team.
“Are you sure you could bring us up to the top three?”
It excited Ai Yuhe to hear that. The top three and top nine were different as night and day in benefits. If she could get into the top three and enjoy the benefits that came with it, she believed she could boost her strength even quicker.
“Never try, never know.”
…
It was Thursday. Ling Jiu, Yang Ling’er, and Ai Yuhe went out as a team, as agreed.
After a few days of physiotherapy, Yang Ling’er could stand on her feet, walking like a toddler. It was a tremendous improvement compared to last time.
It would not have to take long before she could walk like a normal person.
“Where are we going, Ling Jiu?”
“One thousand two hundred kilometers into the wilderness,” said Ling Jiu.
“Seriously? Will it be dangerous? If I remember it correctly, that place is where the Class 7 direbeasts are.”
“There are more Class 6 direbeasts in the Class 7 direbeast’s territory. Otherwise, we won’t be able to find enough Class 6 direbeasts for the three of us.”
“Very well.”
The airship flew for two hours and arrived at the Class 7 direbeast’s territory some 1,200 kilometers away.
“There are a dozen Class 6 direbeasts there. Let’s take them first.”
Before long, the three came to a vast piece of swarm land that emitted a strong foul smell. At the center of the swarm, the land was a lake of cloudy water.
There were a dozen mud-covered, giant gators seemingly doing nothing but floating in the lake.
They were over 40 meters long, bodies covered in thick scales and tough lumps and a row of a-meter-long spikes on the back. All of them looked extremely hideous.
“Watch this!”
As they appeared above the swarm, Ling Jiu cast out a couple of dozens of purple, nearly transparent Flaming Spears at the Giant Swamp Gator.
The Flaming Spears pierced through the gators’ thick skins into their heads, killing them instantly in the lake.
“That’s nineteen of them. You two take six each while I will take seven.”
“Is this how simple it is?”
“Yes, it is.”
“Damn!”
Ai Yuhe could not believe it; such hunting speed was just too badass.
He killed 19 direbeasts with just the flick of his hand. How could she even catch up with him?
