Chapter 91 Make a Concession
Qin Jinhuan hesitated for a couple of seconds before rejecting the call.
“Huan…”
“Let’s go.” He held onto Mu Yu’s hand and led her away from the crowd.
Wen Zeyu rushed and quickly advised, “Brother! Why aren’t you picking up Grandfather’s call? He wouldn’t call you for no reason! At least you should listen to what he has to say!”
“I am not interested.”
“But…”
Just then, Qin Jinhuan’s phone rang again and Wen Zeyu immediately went silent. He stretched his neck to look at Qin Jinhuan’s phone. Upon seeing that the caller was their grandfather, he snatched the phone to prevent Qin Jinhuan from hanging up again. Then, he answered the call and forcefully placed the phone next to Qin Jinhuan’s ears.
Qin Jinhuan was extremely displeased by Wen Zeyu’s actions. He snatched the phone and was about to hang up when Mu Yu said, “Don’t hang up, listen to what he has to say first.” As such, he hesitated and his grandfathers’ voice could be heard over the phone, who called out Qin Jinhuan’s name with a mellow and familiar tone. Due to the phone being away from Qin Jinhuans’ ears, his voice was rather soft. However, the unusual caring tone could be clearly heard.
Mu Yu also heard Grandfather’s unusual tone, so she quickly said, “You should answer him! He is waiting for your reply.”
Wen Zeyu even held onto his hand as he was afraid Qin Jinhuan would hang up the phone again.
“Huan, I gave a second thought to the conditions you mentioned last time and I have redecided.”
As soon as Qin Jinhuan heard that, he moved the phone back to his ears. However, he remained silent and waited for his grandfather to continue speaking.
“Huan, are you listening?”
“Yes.”
Wen Zeyu was happy to see that but at the same time, he was curious. He inched closer and tried to eavesdrop by placing his ears extremely close to Qin Jinhuan’s hand which was holding onto the phone.
“Actually, I never passed your mother’s inheritance to Wentao. It has always been with me. The transfer document shown to Yi Yunzhe was fake. It was to agitate you in order to make him satisfied. That way, he would get excited and sign the contract with Qing Tian Group in regards to the surrounding projects of the Phoenix Gully.”
Qin Jinhuan snorted. “Prior to his discovery on the biochemical weapon research facility used by the Japanese Army, he would still sign the contract even if you didn’t agitate me.”
After all, to the Yuchi Industry—who had already gotten the Ecological Tourism Project of the Phoenix Gully—it made sense to take over the surrounding projects. That way, they would be able to maximise their revenue without much effort. A fool would have capitalized on such an opportunity, let alone Yi Yunzhe who was intelligent.

The last sentence from his grandfather overwhelmed Qin Jinhuan with mixed emotions.

Not only was he already fragile and old, he even agreed to Yi Yunzhe’s demands to humiliate his favorite grandson. This topic of discussion made Qin Jinhuan overly sensitive and he subconsciously rebutted, “I am already married.”
Qin Xiaozhi replied, “Yes, yes, I know that you have already gotten married to Yu. I have also thought things through and at the end of the day, you are the one choosing who to marry. Anyway, you are the one living with your wife so choose whoever you like, I will not interfere.”

Qin Jinhuan was not surprised that his grandfather gave in to his conditions, therefore no trace of happiness could be seen on his face. He waited for a few seconds and since his grandfather kept quiet, he casually asked, “So how are you planning to deal with Qin Wentao and Dong Yueyun then?”
“You must have suffered from quite a lot of cold shoulders over the past two days. I’m sure you are well aware of Wentao’s ability. If he was really chased out of the Qin Family and Qing Tian Group, it would be equivalent to cutting ties with him!” Qin Xiaozhi sounded distressed and conflicted as he said, “At the end of the day, Wentao is still your birth father. Even if you refuse to admit that, it is the unavoidable truth!”
“So you mean that you still wish to keep him around in the company with the same position and benefits? Are you also going to turn a blind eye to his previous actions and not punish him?” Qin Jinhuan said so with a flash of hatred in his eyes.
Wen Zeyu was afraid that Qin Jinhuan would turn down his grandfather’s offer so he quickly smiled and said, “Ah, isn’t it just a position in the company? Grandfather didn’t say that he will have actual power. Based on his abilities, there is nothing he can do without our supervision. A dumb person would forever remain dumb, you don’t have to worry about him. He won’t be a cause for concern.”
“Zeyu is right, I just need you to give him a position in name only in the company and pay him his basic salary every month. You don’t have to give him power. You know very well that he has lost all the assets and businesses given to him back in the days. The living expenses of his family is solely dependent on the salary given by the company.” Qin Xiaozhi sensed that Qin Jinhuan was not moved thus he paused for a moment before saying, “At the very least, give Xi a chance. That day, he actually went all out in order to protect Mu Yu. He—”
Wen Zeyu jumped up in panic, “Hey, Grandfather hasn’t finished what he wanted to say yet! Why did you hang up?”
Qin Jinhuan ignored him and placed the phone back in his pocket. He then dragged Mu Yu along and walked toward the car park.
“Brother! Brother!” Wen Zeyu chased after them. Despite his reluctance, he continued, “I know how much you despise Qin Wentao and Dong Yueyun. However, I can really understand where Grandfather is coming from! Do you remember back when we were young, no matter how much trouble we caused, he would never scold us in front of outsiders. Mu Yu interrupted and asked, “Isn’t that because he was overprotective?”
“I guess you could say that. However, my understanding is that Huan’s grandfather is someone who deeply values the relationship with his family and was protecting us in his own manner. Mu Yu walked forward and, subconsciously, turned her head back and glanced at Yan Xiaobing’s home as well as the building his home was located in. There was some form of sorrow and regret in her eyes.
By then, the police car and ambulance had already left the scene. The only people left were the residents of the area and they were gathered in groups for a discussion.
Qin Jinhuan could tell what she was thinking so he consoled her, “I will make sure that a lavish funeral is planned for them.”
Mu Yu thought of Yan Xiaobing’s worries and she sighed. “Although he had done a lot of good deeds, there was no way of knowing if the beneficiaries were the victims of the damaged pothole cases, I am afraid…”

A loud bang could be heard. The shuddering and deafening sound frightened Mu Yu.
