Chapter 189 Rong Jian Lost His Composure
“What’s wrong?” Mu Yu perched at the lab entrance and questioned Wu Xing who looked blank. “I don’t know! Chief Rong blasted me out the moment he was here. I wanted to ask more but he got angry at me. He even asked me to get lost.”

“Could it be related to the case? Maybe some super important evidence has surfaced.” Mu Yu worriedly plastered her ear at the lab door to eavesdrop, but the excellent soundproofing only led her to disappointment. She had no choice but to wait at the entrance with worries.

Wu Xing stared thoughtfully at the door and shook his head. “That must have nothing to do with the case. If it was something to do with work, there was no need to shoo me out. I suspect that he’s working on a relationship problem with Doctor Feng.”

“A relationship problem?” Mu Yu glanced at Qin Jinhuan. She thought that the two were close and therefore Rong Jian might reveal something to him.

“Director Gu is still waiting for the briefing!” Liu Xiaofan paced around in anxiety. After some hesitation, he decided to knock on the door but the moment he reached out, the door was suddenly opened. Next, they saw Rong Jian stepping out in quick steps, holding Feng Rubing in his arms.

Liu Xiaofan was happy to see him. “Chief Rong, Director Gu is now… Eh? What’s wrong with Doctor Mu?”

“Give way to me!” Rong Jian gently told him off and hurriedly walked around him.

Mu Yu looked closely and noticed that Feng Rubing’s eyes were tightly shut with cold sweat on her forehead, looking as pale as a ghost. Feng Rubing appeared even weaker than the time she fainted at the crime scene. This came as a shock to Mu Yu and she followed behind them to check, “What’s wrong with Madam Feng? Did she faint again? Why is she…”

“Chief Rong, do you need me to call an ambulance?” Liu Xiaofan quickly cut off Mu Yu.

“It’s okay. I will send her to the hospital.” Rong Jian did not once stop when he answered. At the same time, Gu Jihui was walking toward the crowd. When he saw Rong Jian lifting up Feng Rubing in his arms, he expressed his shock, “What happened here?”
