Chapter 127 Unexpected Discovery
Mu Yu did not expect that Wang Linhua who was honest and down-to-earth would be at such places.

On the way here, her colleagues had already informed her that Camphor Forest was merely using a spa as their front but in reality they provided prostitution services.

As such, when Mu Yu saw Wang Linhua who was dressed neatly there, her favorable impression of him changed.

“Is Kiki here?” Rong Jian who darted towards the reception did not notice Wang Linhua who was no longer in his usual working attire.

A middle-aged woman that still looked rather charming was at the reception and she was watching a drama on her Ipad. When she heard Rong Jian’s voice, she immediately put down her Ipad and got up to greet him. “Captain Rong, you are here! Ah, I am sorry. If I had known that you would arrive so soon, I would have gone over to the entrance and welcomed you.”

“No worries. Where’s Kiki?” Rong Jian asked as he looked around.

The only other person in the spacious lobby was a cleaner lady. As such, the entire place looked very empty.

“I am sorry, Captain Rong. I called her but she didn’t pick up. I have also sent someone over to her house to look for her. I am sure we will get hold of her soon. Take a seat and have some drinks.” As she said that, she had already taken out a few bottles of drinks from the refrigerator behind her. She placed all the drinks on the counter, eagerly chose one of it and passed it over to Rong Jian.

Xiao Gong did not force him to accept the drink. At the same time, she distributed the drinks to the other members of the task force. She also smiled and responded to Rong Jian, “Not that often. Although Zhao Yongli was a regular customer here, he only came into contact with Kiki recently. In fact, he had only looked for her twice.”

Mu Yu had been staring at the screen looking at the timings that Zhao Yongli looked for Kiki. As such, when she heard the narration of the owner, she interrupted and asked, “Since they had such an unhappy session the first time, why did Zhao Yongli request for her again the second time? Isn’t that bringing contempt upon oneself?”

Liu Xiaofan giggled and said, “He’s probably stupid.”

Xiao Gong pretended like she knew guys very well and replied, “That’s not the reason; a man’s desire to conquer was.”

Liu Xiaofan pouted her lips and snorted. “Gosh, how can he expect to conquer a woman like Kiki when he was so stingy?”

“You’re right, a stingy man would not be able to conquer Kiki. If he has the desire to conquer her, he has to make a change.”

“So you are saying that Zhao Yongli changed his attitude when he looked for Kiki the second time?”

Mu Yu interrupted and said, “Could it be that he paid upfront the second time?”

Xiao Gong rolled her eyes at him and said, “What else could it be? It had to be an over-the-top request that the girls weren’t able to fulfill. As Xiao Gong was enthusiastically narrating the story, her phone rang. She glanced at her phone and she said, “Excuse me.” Then, she walked over to the corner and picked up her phone.

“Captain Rong, since Zhao Yongli was the one that was embarrassed, there was no reason for Kiki to seek revenge on him,” Mu Yu whispered to Rong Jian.

Rong Jian nodded his head and said, “If we look at it that way, there is only a small possibility of Kiki being the suspect in this case. However, if we look at it from another angle, Kiki had been in this line of work for five years. Thus, she should have experienced all sorts of issues and been in various situations. If that was the first time she threw a tantrum at a customer, it meant that Zhao Yongli must have been really over-the-top. Kiki who was used to being pampered by guys may have held a grudge against him. Thus, seeking revenge may still be a possibility as well. Liu Xiaofan immediately picked up and said, “She merely had to voice it out and there would be many people willing to do the job for her.”

“Captain Rong, I am so sorry. The person I sent to Kiki’s house to look for her said that she was not home. She’s not picking up her phone as well.”

Rong Jian frowned as he asked, “You are saying we lost contact with Kiki?”

“What time did she get off work yesterday?”

“Is Kiki in trouble? Why are there so many people looking for her?”

“He also asked who was closer to Kiki.”

The two cleaning ladies nodded their heads and said, “Yes.”

“Oh, thank you.” Mu Yu walked out of the restroom in doubt.

“Sister-in-law? Are you okay?” Rong Jian saw that she got onto the car and kept quiet so he was worried.

“I am alright.” On second thought, Mu Yu eventually decided to let Rong Jian know about the fact that Wang Linhua asked about Kiki’s situation. “He dressed up so nicely today to look for Kiki. Was he here to look for her service or was it for something else?”

Rong Jian understood what she meant and he shook his head as he replied, “The sauna is only open for business in the afternoon. If he was looking for Kiki to service him, he wouldn’t come by so early.”

Mu Yu thought about it and she said, “We were suspicious of Kiki’s involvement in Zhao Yongli’s case but then she went off the grid. At the same time, Wang Linhua coincidentally appeared to look for her. Do you think there’s some connection between this?”

“Sister-in-law.” Rong Jian paused before asking in a lowered voice, “Do you think that Wang Linhua’s silhouette looked similar to the silhouette of the suspect caught on camera?”

Mu Yu thought about it and she suddenly shuddered. “Yes, they look very similar! Could it be…”
