Chapter 108 Another Murder
Mu Yu woke up immediately, “What’s wrong?”

“I am on my way to our lab. You go straight to Qing Tian Building. I will bring the toolbox with me.”

“Bring the toolbox to the Qing Tian Building? Is there a…”

“I just received a call from the police, there has been a murder case there. I have to hang up now.”

When she left the room, she heard the ringing of Qin Jinhuan’s phone, but didn’t have time to bother about it. Running to the yard as fast as she could, she then realized the sky was barely bright.

“Yu? Where are you going so early?” Qin Xiaozhi was playing Tai Chi in the yard with Yu Zhongguang. When he saw her rushing out of the house all of a sudden, he came to show his concern.

“Grandpa, something urgent came up in the bureau. I have to go there immediately.” Mu Yu responded without stopping.

“Something urgent? I shall let the driver send you there.”

“I can call a cab…” A gust of cold wind blew and Mu Yu couldn’t help but shiver. Thinking it would be hard to hail a cab early in the morning during such weather, she quickly changed her mind. “Grandpa, where is the driver?”

“Boss, I will go and call him.” Yu Zhongguang quickly ran into the house.

“Zhongguang, let Qi Hao send Yu there.”

“Yes, boss.”

The second floor was the employee restaurant of the Qing Tian Group. Because the company provided free breakfast and lunch, all of the employees would normally have their meal here. So, the size of the restaurant on the second floor wasn’t small.

When Mu Yu pushed through the safety door and entered the restaurant, she was welcomed with the unique onion fragrance of the pastry food. She instinctively looked at the serving tables, but couldn’t see any breakfast served. Obviously, it wasn’t time for breakfast yet.

“Dr. Mu, over here!”

Rong Jian’s subordinate, Liu Xiaofan saw her and immediately waved at her as he brought her to the small room behind him.

This was when Mu Yu noticed that there were many policemen in their uniforms in this huge restaurant. Some of them were asking the employees questions and some of them were carefully surveying the scene.

Before she reached the door of the small room, the strong rusty smell of blood had already hit her nose. She instinctively covered her nose as she tried to imagine the tragic scene of crime in her head.

Just as expected, she was greeted with a room of eye-taunting bloody red once she entered the room.

Through Rong Jian and Feng Rubing, she could see the victim lying straight on the ground in front of the single bed.

“Chief Rong, Madam Feng.” Mu Yu could only stand by the door and greet them, because the room was too small and there were too many places that were stained with blood.

“Mu…Doctor Mu, you’re here.” Rong Jian quickly walked out of the room and handed her her toolbox, letting her into the room to do her job.

Mu Yu took a quick look at the room after she entered.

The room was very small, which was less than around seven or eight square meters. There was only a single bed, a small table, a chair and nothing else.

At this very moment, there were blood stains with varying degrees that were stained all over the bed, the table, the chair and the wall. From the way the blood stain had solidified, it was obvious that the victim had been dead for quite a long time.

“Time of death is around two to four o’clock in the morning. The cause of death was initially identified as excessive blood loss.” Feng Rubing had already started her job.

“Chopped heart?” The image of Sun Meilan’s chopped tongue immediately flashed through Mu Yu’s head. Holding back the urge to vomit, she asked, “Is it the heart of the victim?”

“For the time being, I am not sure. We have to go back to the lab and run some tests.”

“It mostly is.” Rong Jian responded in depress while he was standing by the door, “Looks like another vicious murder case.”

Mu Yu felt a tightness in her heart when she heard the words of ‘vicious homicide case’. She quietly picked all the pieces of the victim’s heart into the evidence bag.

Half an hour later, Mu Yu had a general understanding on the murder case.

The victim was Zhao Yongli, who was now 45 years old. He was the manager of the cafeteria department of the Qing Tian Group. The small room was where he usually took his afternoon nap. He stayed in this room for the night, because his wife and kids were traveling overseas, and he was too lazy to stay at home alone.

The employees would normally have their breakfast at 7 o’clock in the morning. The cafeteria employees had started to get to work as usual at half past four in the morning. Zhao Yongli had a bad temper. He was stingy and snobbish. He was even harsh on his employees and liked to deduct his employees’ bonuses. Therefore, everyone was nervous whenever he was here to inspect during work, worrying that he would make a fuss out of nothing. The first person who realized something wrong was Deng Qiuhong, who was in charge of the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
