Mr. Bodyguard Novel - Chapter 856
Chapter 856 Buddhist Chan Dou (1)
There is a word in the art of war called “Don’t chase after the poor”, but there is also a word in the art of war called “chase after the victor”.
The two words may sound contradictory, but they are actually two different situations.
The former tells us that if we do not know the other party’s background and do not have the confidence to win, then it is better not to chase after him. The latter tells us that a winning battle must be pursued.
Then why did Jiang Feng choose to chase after him? The reason was too simple, because Jiang Feng didn’t just have a million undead army chasing after these ferocious beasts. Jiang Feng also hid 700,000 troops in the Mu Yuan Mountain Range in front of him.
As long as Jiang Feng brought the army of the undead to chase after them, and cooperated with the 700,000 troops to pinch the ferocious beasts on both sides, what would the result be?
Jiang Feng brought Bai Ningxuan and the others into the Pasture Mountain Range very quickly. The traces of the fierce beasts retreating were very obvious. In addition, there was a large army of undead chasing after them. Therefore, Jiang Feng and the others didn’t need to distinguish the route at all. They just had to chase after them.
Soon, Jiang Feng and the others caught up to the army of the undead. Seeing that the army of ferocious beasts was also at the front, Jiang Feng roared, “Brothers, charge!”
“Nan Wu … Amy … Tuo Buddha …”
Just as Jiang Feng and the others were chasing after him, a long Buddhist chant suddenly sounded in Jiang Feng’s ears.
This Buddhist title was clearly chanted by many people. The voice carried a strange spiritual energy, causing Jiang Feng and the others to fall off the back of the wolf immediately after hearing it.
Fortunately, Ah’er, Ah’er, Ah’er, and Ah’er’s cultivation levels were high enough, so the effects of this Buddhist title on the three of them weren’t serious. When Jiang Feng and Bai Ningxuan fell, Ah Er, Ah San, and Ah Si quickly supported the two of them.
Soon, the golden light lit up in the dense forest. The golden light did not have much effect on Jiang Feng and the others. However, when Jiang Feng’s army of undead was shone by the golden light, black gas immediately began to emit from their entire bodies.
“Puchi …”
The outermost Undead Army had actually been turned into black ash by the golden light in a short period of time. Jiang Feng was stunned when he saw this scene, because even he did not know that the Undead Army still had a nemesis in Primordial world.
Jiang Feng did not dare to hesitate too much. He hurriedly withdrew the Undead Army into the Dark Devil Heavenly Spirit Tombstone to prevent the Undead Army from suffering too much damage.
After the Undead Army was taken away, Jiang Feng and the others glanced around.
The golden light slowly disappeared, and a large group of bald monks wearing kasayas appeared in the dense forest. There was no need to guess this outfit. These people were definitely from Buddhism.
Jiang Feng scanned carefully. There were quite a few Buddhists in the dense forest. It was roughly estimated that there were more than ten thousand people.
The ten thousand plus people were all shining with their own Buddhist light. Among them, there were six layers of Buddhist light, and the least was two.
This meant that the person with the highest cultivation realm in this group of Buddhists was a “Bodhisattva” who was no different from a Saint realm expert. The person with the lowest cultivation realm was Di Shi, who was not much different from the Middle Thousand Realm.
Jiang Feng even counted them. There were a total of seven Bodhisattva Realm experts with six levels of Buddhist light, which meant that there were quite a few of them.
However, as long as there was no Buddha among them, Jiang Feng wasn’t very worried. After all, Jiang Feng had Sheng Yue by his side. As a Tier 6 Holy Blood White Moon Wolf, he could basically be said to be invincible below Tier 7.
Jiang Feng asked the seven Bodhisattvas where they were sitting, “What I’m chasing is a ferocious beast. I wonder what you Buddhist cultivators are trying to stop me for. Could it be that you are colluding with the ferocious beasts?”
“My Buddha is merciful. He once said that all living beings are equal. Therefore, it would be wrong for Your Excellency to say that we are colluding with fierce beasts. Buddhist cultivators and all living beings are together.”
A Bodhisattva gently said these words, causing people to feel an inexplicable sense of peace in their hearts, and all slaughter instantly dissipated.
Jiang Feng hated this feeling. He coldly snorted and said, “The Buddha once recorded the story of the Buddha killing the evil monk to save the monk. Now that these ferocious beasts have attacked the human race for no reason, it is obvious that they are doing evil! What’s wrong with us killing them? I advise you to quickly dodge, or else don’t blame me for being impolite.”
“Nonsense! I, Buddha, did kill bandits in order to save five hundred monks when I was in the Inner Realm, but I also killed bandits in order to prevent them from creating evil karma in hell.
My Buddha’s Heart does not have the existence of the ‘Heart of Anger’. “That’s why this merit is so great. This is a good reward!”
A Buddhist who also had six levels of Buddhist light stood up, his big copper bell-like eyes glaring fiercely at Jiang Feng, his expression extremely unfriendly.
Jiang Feng snorted coldly, “Come on, you’ve finally made us understand what it means to be a bitch and set up a chastity memorial arch. You don’t care about the siege of fierce beasts. Now that we’re chasing after fierce beasts, you all claim that all living beings are equal. To put it bluntly, you are colluding with fierce beasts. Are you worthy of cultivating buddhism? What about your buddhist hearts?”
“You dare to question my Buddhist heart!” This Bodhisattva’s temper was obviously extremely irritable. Hearing Jiang Feng question his Buddhist heart, his anger immediately grew even stronger.
Apart from cultivating Buddhist power, the stronger a person’s strength was, the more they would feel that they were cultivating Buddhist hearts and Buddhist natures.
The so-called Buddha’s Heart was actually a kind of understanding of Buddha by Buddhist cultivators. Buddha is different in different people’s hearts.
For example, some people, his Buddhist heart is not obsessed, is not obsessed with anyone, things, feelings, so that the Buddhist heart to achieve the state of Perfection of Awareness, in order to become a Buddha.
Some people’s Buddhist hearts are natural. Some people’s Buddhist hearts are at ease … No matter what their Buddhist hearts are, this is actually a kind of Dao.
Buddhist cultivators cultivate from monks to Bodhisattvas. This is a process in which Buddhist cultivators gradually upgrade their Buddhist hearts.
Therefore, the first step to becoming a Buddha was to “establish a Buddhist heart.”
The meaning of “Ming Li Buddha’s Heart” was to set his first clear understanding of Buddhism.
In the future, every time a cultivator advanced to a higher realm, they would gain enlightenment from their buddhist hearts and sublimate their buddhist hearts. In this way, they would push their buddhist hearts to the peak step by step in order to prove their dao to become buddhas.
Although Jiang Feng wasn’t a Buddhist cultivator, he had at least accepted the inheritance of Bodhisattva Wen Pu, so he didn’t know much about Buddhism.
Jiang Feng knew that the person who cultivated Buddhism disliked being questioned the most was the Buddha’s Heart, so he deliberately asked, “Where is your Buddha’s Heart?”
To Buddhists, anyone who questioned their own Buddhist hearts was messing with their own. This was not a trivial matter. On the contrary, it would be regarded as an endless grudge.
The irritable Bodhisattva said to Jiang Feng, “This Bodhisattva’s name is Jie Kong. According to the rules of our Buddhist sect, if you and I belong to the same Buddhist sect and you question my Buddhist heart, I should have a Dhyana Battle with you. Since you are not from my Buddhist sect, then you must question my Buddhist heart. From now on, Jie Kong will challenge you!”
The moment Jiekong’s word “battle” was spoken, battle intent immediately filled the entire arena.
Jiang Feng smiled after hearing Jie Kong’s words. He didn’t know that if everyone was Buddhist cultivators, then questioning the Buddhist heart could be a “Dhyana Battle”.
Jiang Feng understood the Dhyana Dou very well, because he had fought with people on Earth before. To put it bluntly, this was Jiang Feng’s specialty.
Jiang Feng smiled and said, “I don’t want to fight with you. I want to fight with you. Because I am also a Buddhist!”
As soon as Jiang Feng finished speaking, he immediately revealed his own Six Layers Buddhist Light.
Jie Kong and the others were immediately shocked when they saw Jiang Feng’s six levels of Buddhist light. Jiang Feng shook his head and said, “How is it? Shouldn’t it be time for a Dhyana Battle now?”
To be honest, there’s really nothing to doubt about your selfish, narrow-minded, unkind and unfair Buddhist heart. If you really want to meditate, you’ll probably have to be ashamed to commit suicide. ”
“How dare you! You’re courting death!” Jie Kong roared angrily, and a golden light suddenly appeared in his eyes, as if he had ignited a golden flame.
The so-called Buddha also had fire. Jie Kong’s performance represented that he was truly enraged.
Jie Kong’s furious roar caused Jiang Feng’s mind to go blank. Looking at Jie Kong, he felt as if he had seen a mountain-sized True Buddha body. Jiang Feng had the urge to kneel on the ground and pay his respects to Jie Kong.
Taking advantage of Jiang Feng’s absent-mindedness, Jie Kong opened his mouth slightly and prepared to attack Jiang Feng.
Right at this moment, another Bodhisattva beside Jie Kong said, “He messed with your Buddhist heart. What’s the use of killing him? Without a Buddhist battle and a Buddhist heart, what happened today will become a heart devil.”
After saying that, the Bodhisattva put his hands together and said to Jiang Feng, “It has been nearly 7,000 years since the Buddha Ring Empyrean cultivated. Now that you have questioned the Buddha’s heart, you are truly enraged. This means that the Buddha Ring Empyrean Buddha’s heart is in chaos. If the Buddha’s heart is in chaos, it will become a devil.”
“Since you are also a Buddhist cultivator, please follow the Buddhist rules and accept the Dhyana Dou of Jie Kong, so as to avoid suffering from the heart demons in the future.”
For Buddhist cultivators, the most important and dangerous stage of their lives could be divided into three stages.
First, when deciding to cultivate Buddhism and become a “monk,” one needed to “establish a Buddhist heart.” The second was the “Seven Severing Emotions” he needed to experience when he was promoted to “Arhat”. Third, when a Bodhisattva was promoted to Buddha, he needed to undergo the Nine Refinements of Heart Demons.
The so-called Heart Demon Nine Refinements were nine things that were hard to forget in one’s heart.
In a person’s life, there were only nine things that he couldn’t let go of, one that he couldn’t let go of, and one that he couldn’t stop thinking about. Therefore, the Nine Refinements of Heart Demons would choose the nine most unforgivable things from the many unforgivable things to cultivate and comprehend.
Once he comprehended it, his Buddhist heart would be firm, and he would be successful in cultivating the Buddhist Dao.
If he didn’t comprehend it, his heart would hurt itself. The light ones suffered some internal injuries and needed time to recover slowly.
Those who were serious might regress in cultivation and their realms would drop.
In the most serious case, the Buddha Heart might collapse and fall into madness. If the most serious situation really occurred, this person would either fall into madness, or his Buddhist power would explode uncontrollably and die.
Ring Kong didn’t dare to underestimate the power of the Heart Demon. He glanced at the Bodhisattva beside him and immediately said to Jiang Feng, “You obviously didn’t cultivate the six layers of Buddhist light on your body. However, since you have accepted the Buddhist inheritance, then you are considered a member of the Buddhist sect.”
“Since that’s the case, I’ll give you a chance to fight with me!”
“Fighting is like fighting. Am I still afraid of you?” Jiang Feng agreed.
