Love After Marriage - Chapter 8
Chapter 8 You Haven’t Given Me an Answer Yet
“Brothers, please throw her out. I’m a little scared.”
Ji Baining broke away from Tang Luoxin’s hand and coquettishly threw a glance at the security guard as he said pitifully.
The two of them swallowed their saliva and their brains went blank. Without thinking, they grabbed Tang Luoxin’s hand and dragged her out.
“Let go of me!” Tang Luo cried out in a low voice as she continued to struggle.
Unfortunately, the other party ignored her and quickly dragged her out of the community, forcefully throwing her on the hard concrete floor.
“Where did this beggar come from? Is this place something you can enter if you want to? Get away from me.”
Tang Luoxin fell to the ground, her elbow brushing against the ground, leaving a stinging pain.
Her delicate skin must have been worn away.
Tang Luo, who hadn’t suffered since childhood, tears of heartache rolled in her eyes, but she stubbornly refused to let it flow down.
The two security guards left, leaving Tang Luoxin lying on the ground in a sorry state, because she couldn’t get up from the pain for a long time.
Suddenly, a pair of black men’s leather shoes appeared in her hazy tears.
She subconsciously raised her head and saw a fair and slender hand coming from the other party.
“Tang Luoxin, why are you in such a sorry state every time I see you?”
If he had arrived a little later, her condition would have been even worse.
The man’s voice sounded pleasant and melodious, carrying a shallow sense of helplessness.
Tang Luoxin’s body stiffened, and as she panicked in shock, her tears fell.
Since her father had been captured and the Tang Clan was being counted, it would be better to officially declare her death.
Ji Baining could be the murderer, and Ji Yuqing could not do anything but enjoy herself.
A few days ago, she climbed into the bed of her best friend and stepsister with her loving and sweet boyfriend. She might also be one of the murderers.
She couldn’t even find someone to discuss it with.
Everyone betrayed and separated from each other, but it was nothing more than that.
It was as if she had nothing overnight. Tang Luo felt that she was strong enough to not collapse.
Two rows of clear tears wantonly streaked across her pale face, but because she didn’t want strangers to see her weakness, she quickly lowered her head and pursed her lips, revealing an unyielding stubbornness.
Lu Jingnian sighed and reached out to help her up. At the same time, he took out a blue and white handkerchief.
“Wipe it clean. Tears are proof of cowardice.” His tone was unprecedentedly gentle.
Tang Luoxin bit her lips and slowly took it. She randomly wiped her face and whispered her thanks.
“Thank you.”
Although she was a little afraid of him, he had helped her, so she could not be strong.
“I’ll give it to you. There’s no need to return it.” Sensing her intention to return it, Lu Jingnian said indifferently.
Tang Luoxin looked at the curly handkerchief and felt a little embarrassed. She planned to wash it clean and return it to him.
“Follow me.”
Under the envious and astonished gazes of the passers-by and under the astonished gazes of the two security guards, Lu Jingnian led her towards the Rolls-Royce RV parked by the roadside.
Tang Luo bit her lip with an uneasy expression and hesitated in her footsteps.
“Huh?” Lu Jingnian turned to look at her and said calmly, “Do you like to be watched?”
Tang Luoxin gritted her teeth and got into the car. She sat at the edge of the car and unconsciously crossed her chest.
This was a defensive posture.
“Why didn’t you say goodbye?” Lu Jingnian put a pen on her leg, her eyes fixed on the screen as she spoke coldly.
Tang Luo was stunned and asked, “Mr. Lu, do you want to ask me?”
“Is there a third person here?” Lu Jingnian asked.
Tang Luoxin looked at the driver and saw the corner of his mouth twitch. Then, she lowered her head silently.
She tried her best to maintain her humble and arrogant appearance and spoke out in gratitude.
“Mr. Lu, thank you very much for your help and hospitality that day, but I have no reason to stay there.”
She thought for a moment and added, “Mr. Lu, please send me back to the Tang Family.”
Lu Jingnian was silent for a while before suddenly laughing, “Miss Tang, do I look like an unknown philanthropist who does good deeds?”
Tang Luoxin said, “…”
“What does Mr. Lu mean?”
Lu Jingnian tilted his head, his black eyes locked onto her tearful face. “I thought you knew very well.”
Tang Luo’s already nervous mood suddenly tensed up to the extreme, and she couldn’t help but recall their first meeting.
She clutched the corner of her clothes and tugged at the corner of her mouth twice. “Mr. Lu, I don’t understand,” she answered dryly.
She pursed her lips and a dimple appeared on her right, diluting the anxiety and exhaustion on her face.
He knew that if she smiled, this dimple would look even more beautiful.
“You know what to ask.” He put down the four words and closed his eyes to rest.
Tang Luoxin pretended not to understand and repeated what she had just said.
“Mr. Lu, please send me back to the Tang Clan. If you are unwilling, please let me out of the car!”
This person’s presence was too strong and the pressure was too terrifying. Being in the same space as him, she felt that she would have a heart attack every minute.
Lu Jing’s somewhat foul eyelids were completely blocked by her golden-rimmed spectacles, coupled with his handsome face without the slightest bit of emotion, with a strict abstinence that kept people from going a thousand miles away.
“You haven’t told me the answer yet.”
“What?” Tang Luoxin squeezed out two words.
Lu Jingnian’s rosy lips spat out a sentence.
“On the day of the ribbon-cutting at Tianlin Garment Company, you still haven’t given me an answer.”
