Lose My Heart to the Lovely Kitten Princess - Chapter 87
Chapter 87 The fish was hooked
The servants looked at each other before they looked at Butler Liu as they shook their heads.
Cheng Xiaoxiao curled up in the corner of the room as she waited for the doctor to examine Chu Hongyi.
“Why are you ignoring me?” The little boy’s voice suddenly came from overhead.
Cheng Xiaoxiao raised her head lazily and saw the little boy sitting on the beam inside the guest room watching her.
Cheng Xiaoxiao looked back at him before she reached her paw out and waved as she said calmly, “Come down.”
“Why do I have to come down?” The little boy floated to Cheng Xiaoxiao and looked at her annoyingly. “There are too many people in here, and the yang energy is too strong. I don’t like it!”
“Stupid boy,” shouted Cheng Xiaoxiao with her eyes looking at Chu Hongyi as he lay on the bed. “Do you know how to make someone lose a part of his memory?”
“Lose a part of his memory?” The little boy scratched his head and looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao quizzically. “Who needs to lose their memory? You?”
“Him.” Cheng Xiaoxiao pointed at Chu Hongyi lying on the bed before she turned to look at the little boy. “Do you know how to do it?”
The little boy floated to the bed in the inner room. He came to eye level with Chu Hongyi and looked at him for a while before he turned to look at Cheng Xiaoxiao in the corner of the room and said, “I can get into his head and make him lose his memory.”
The little boy floated into Chu Hongyi’s body, but a golden light suddenly appeared, and a gold dragon shot out of Chu Hongyi.
The little boy was swiftly hit the ceiling before falling heavily to the ground.
“OW! That hurts!”
Before the boy had the time to react, the dragon opened its menacing jaws at him!
“AHHH!”
The little boy was so terrified that he swiftly floated behind Cheng Xiaoxiao. “Help!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao watched as the huge dragon suddenly come towards her. She hooked her claws into the ground as she stood in front of the little boy fearlessly.
ROAR!
The gold dragon’s claws were about to touch Cheng Xiaoxiao’s jade pendant when it cringed before roaring into the air and going back into Chu Hongyi’s body.
“Oh god! That was scary!”
The little boy reached his head out from behind Cheng Xiaoxiao and looked at the bed as he said deeply, “I didn’t expect the gold dragon protecting him to be so powerful.”
“What gold dragon?” Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to look at the little boy quizzically.
The little boy glanced at Cheng Xiaoxiao calmly before he pointed at Chu Hongyi. “Mistress told me that since princes are sons of the true dragon, all of them are protected by gold dragons.”
“Hmmm?”
Cheng Xiaoxiao looked at the little boy perplexedly.
“I can’t go near them when I kill them! Otherwise, the gold dragon will devour me,” said the little boy before he spat his tongue at Cheng Xiaoxiao and continued, “So I usually cast a spell on them for them to die of an accident.”
“Oh, I see!” Cheng Xiaoxiao’s head slumped down and said distractedly, “So you can’t make him lose his memory?”
“Uh huh.” The little boy nodded his head in embarrassment.
“That’s no help to me.” Cheng Xiaoxiao placed her chin on the ground dejectedly.
The little boy scratched his head and said awkwardly, “But I know another way to make him lose his memory.”
“How?” Cheng Xiaoxiao suddenly felt hopeful again when she heard him. She swiftly raised her head and looked at the little boy.
“You can use a stone and hit his head.” The little boy turned to look at Chu Hongyi smugly before he turned to say to Cheng Xiaoxiao calmly, “This way, he won’t be able to remember anything.”
The little boy seemed proud of his suggestion. He clapped his hands as he looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao and continued, “Haha! I am so smart.”
“Uh huh! That’s so smart of you. This way, he can’t remember anything!” Cheng Xiaoxiao couldn’t help rolling her eyes at the little boy before she continued, “But he can forget about waking up either!”
Sigh! She was really going nuts!
She must be crazy to discuss such matters with a three year old boy.
“Does that matter? Didn’t you want him to lose his memory?”
The little boy looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao quizzically. Why did she look annoyed with his idea?
“I do want him to lose his memory, but I don’t want him to die!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao lay on the ground with her chin on the floor as she explained to the little boy behind her while she looked at the door.
Why wasn’t the doctor here yet?
“Then you can continue fretting over that! Humph!” said the little boy before he floated up to the beam and ignored Cheng Xiaoxiao.
He tried to help out of the goodwill of his heart, but she didn’t thank him and even blamed him for not being able to help.
Cheng Xiaoxiao raised her head to glance at the little boy. He certainly had quite the temper!
But she had no time to coax a kid when she had so many things to worry about.
Just as she was about to lie back on the ground lazily, the little boy’s shrill, angry voice kept coming from the ceiling.
“You awful cat! You heartless cat!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao was so startled that she shivered before she hurriedly covered her ears. That stupid boy!
“Stupid cat! I helped you out of the kindness of my heart! How could you give me this attitude?”
His voice kept piercing through Cheng Xiaoxiao’s head and almost made her head explode!
“Stupid boy…” She covered her ears with her paws as she glared up at the little boy. Just as she was about to stop him, hurried footsteps suddenly came from outside.
Cheng Xiaoxiao turned her head towards the voice and saw Dr Li, who previously examined Wan Xia’s maid, coming through the door anxiously with his medical kit.
“Dr Li, You are finally here! This way, please!” said Butler Liu as he walked over and led the doctor into the room.
“Sure sure!” Dr Li entered the room and immediately put down his medical kit before he sat down on a chair by the bed.
After he took Chu Hongyi’s pulse, his furrowed brows gradually smoothened out. He stroked his beard as he straightened his back and said, “This boy got a shock. Let me prescribe him some medicine for that. After he takes it and rests for a few days, he will be fine.”
“Thanks, Dr Li.” Butler Liu suddenly felt relieved when he heard that all Prince Xuan suffered was a shock.
Thank heavens!
If something happened to Prince Xuan while he was here, the emperor was bound to make trouble for Prince Jing.
As Prince Jing’s butler, he would be held accountable too.
After the doctor wrote up a prescription, Butler Liu immediately handed it to a servant and said, “Go and take the herbs from the medicine room.”
“Yes, Sir!”
The servant bowed to Butler Liu before running off with the prescription.
“Thanks for coming over, Dr Li,” said Butler Liu as he walked the doctor out of the door and told a servant behind him, “Take the doctor to the accountant’s office and pay him.”
“Yes, Sir!” replied the servant before he walked up to the doctor and bowed to say, “Dr Li, this way, please.”
“Butler Liu,” said the doctor as he bowed to Butler Liu before he continued, “Farewell.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao left through the window when she learned Chu Hongyi was fine.
Now that a major incident had taken place at home, Chu Yunshen was bound to come home from work.
Cheng Xiaoxiao ought to go back to Chu Yunshen’s room and wait before he turned up.
She was finally relieved when she heard that all Chu Hongyi suffered was a bad scare.
The fear of finding Chu Hongyi dead was still lingering in her heart.
Although the little boy admitted it was only a prank, she couldn’t forget about how scary and real it felt.
Oh yes!
The little ghost!
Cheng Xiaoxiao raised her head to look at the ceiling, only to find it empty.
Where was the ghost?
Just as she scoured the room with her eyes looking for him, the little boy’s voice suddenly floated from inside the room, “He is certainly weak! All I did was scare him. Did he have to pass out for so long?”
Cheng Xiaoxiao glanced into the room and saw the little boy sitting on the beam as he shook his legs in mid-air while he gazed at Chu Hongyi on the bed.
Cheng Xiaoxiao scratched her head annoyingly. Why was the little boy sitting there?
She couldn’t let the ghost hang around here since he wanted to kill Chu Hongyi.
Before she came up with a solution, she couldn’t let the little ghost out of her sight.
Cheng Xiaoxiao raised her paw at the little boy as she said, “Are you coming?”
“Where are we going?” The little boy turned his head to look at the white cat in the corner and said, “I have to kill him.”
“I want to show you something interesting.” Cheng Xiaoxiao looked at the ghost’s young appearance and suddenly recalled the baby bird.
Even though the ghost was a century old, he was still a little boy at heart.
In that case, she knew how to handle him!
She was going to slowly win him over and convince him to change his ways.
“What do you want to show me?” The little boy looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao curiously, but the moment he recalled how she lied to him repeatedly, he could not help saying cautiously, “No, I’m not coming! I’m staying right here! That way, I can kill him tomorrow and go back to Mistress.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao looked at that little boy pitifully as she said, “Are you sure?”
She turned and headed towards the window as she shook her head with her tail swaying while she muttered, “You are so pitiful.”
“Who are you calling pitiful?” His angry roar came.
Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to look at the little boy who had already floated over beside her as she laughed with joy in her heart.
The little ghost was hooked!
“I was calling you pitiful.” Cheng Xiaoxiao looked at the little boy with her head held high with a calm look on her face. “You were barely three years old when you died, right? You must have died without experiencing anything in the world, right?”
“That’s nonsense! I was over three years old when I died!”
The little boy glared at Cheng Xiaoxiao as he said firmly, “Mom even cooked me two eggs for my birthday!”
“Okay. Whatever.” Cheng Xiaoxiao jumped out the window as she spoke. After she landed firmly on the ground, she could sense a cold aura behind her.
“Wait up!” The little boy came chasing behind her angrily, “Tell me what you mean before you go!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t even look back. She raised her head as she headed towards Chu Yunshen’s room with her tail swaying as she replied lazily, “Didn’t I make things quite clear?”
“No, you didn’t!” roared the little boy anxiously, “Why did you look down on me?”
Cheng Xiaoxiao narrowed her eyes. The fish was hooked. Now was the time for her to reel him in.
“You were overthinking it!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao briefly halted before she said to the little boy behind her, “Stop following me.”
