Lose My Heart to the Lovely Kitten Princess - Chapter 84
Chapter 84 Run
Chu Hongyi stood up as he flung Cheng Xiaoxiao’s hand aside. He looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao and scolded her furiously, “Take off my clothes this instant! Do you want me to execute your entire family for this?”
Cheng Xiaoxiao watched as the rock shifted over to Chu Hongyi before she caught sight of the sinister smile on the little boy’s face. She yanked Chu Hongyi over. “Did the drowning make you blind? Can’t you see the huge rock hanging over your head?”
Cheng Xiaoxiao raised her hand and pointed at it. Chu Hongyi looked up and was startled to see it. “What’s going on? Why is the rock flying?”
“Go and die!” roared the little boy angrily!
The rock over Chu Hongyi suddenly shook violently.
“What are you waiting for? Run!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao quickly pulled Chu Hongyi over. However, the rock flew towards them as though it had a mind of its own!
“Heh heh! Interesting! Very interesting!”
The little boy’s shrill laughter reverberated through the air.
His laugher sounded as piercing as a baby’s cries.
Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to look at the source of the laughter. Although it sounded like laughter, it also resembled crying.
It appeared she honestly upset the ghost.
“Huh? Rocks are flying! Tell me what’s going on!”
Chu Hongyi glanced at the rock above his head from the corner of his eye. The rock seemed to have a mind of its own as it hovered along. It followed him left and right. In an instant, it sent chills all through him.
“Run! Do you want to die?” Cheng Xiaoxiao quickly pulled Chu Hongyi’s arm and took off!
Chu Hongyi ran as he looked at the rock chasing him and said, “This is insane! The rock is flying!”
“Don’t get distracted! We have to get some help now!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao pulled Chu Hongyi along as she contemplated.
Now that Chu Hongyi had regained consciousness, she ought to hand him over to someone else to look after while she dealt with the ghost!
After running for some time, Cheng Xiaoxiao realized that she and Chu Hongyi were still running around the lake.
The third time around, Cheng Xiaoxiao was certain that the ghost must have resorted to some witchery.
Hence, regardless of how they ran, they ended up next to the lake.
After all their efforts, they were simply running around in circles.
Also, if the boy wanted to smash Chu Hongyi to death with the stone, all it took was a wave of his hand!
However, he did nothing of the sort and stood as he watched and cheered.
Cheng Xiaoxiao glanced at the little boy as he stood by the side and laughed at them. She pinched Chu Hongyi’s arm and said softly, “Keep running! Do not stop!”
She let go of Chu Hongyi’s arm and swiftly pushed him!
When she noticed that Chu Hongyi was in no danger, she turned to walk towards the little boy.
She felt that they were bound to run out of energy if they kept running!
Hence, she told Chu Hongyi to run while she dealt with the little boy.
The crisis could only be averted after she took care of the kid.
Since the little boy was sent to kill Chu Hongyi, he wasn’t going to leave without accomplishing his mission.
Chu Hongyi turned to look back as he ran. Initially, he presumed that the maid wearing his garments was going to get help. Instead, she only took a few steps before she halted.
He instantly said angrily, “How dare you! What are you doing standing there? Hurry up and find me some help!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao replied without turning her head, “Just worry about yourself!”
The moment she finished her sentence, she shrugged at the boy and said, “Fine. I will apologize to you! It was all my fault, and I shouldn’t have lied!”
“Humph! Get out of my way!” sneered the little boy. He glared at Cheng Xiaoxiao before he waved his hand and made the rock chase Chu Hongyi even faster. “I am going to make him run until he dies!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to see Chu Hongyi’s face ghastly pale as his speed became increasingly slow.
Then again, he had just fallen into the water, so he couldn’t run for that long.
“Stupid boy!” Cheng Xiaoxiao walked over to the little boy anxiously. She patted his head, but her hand went right through him. She pulled her hand back somewhat awkwardly and said, “Put the rock down! It’s wrong to kill people!”
“How many times have I told you? I am not a stupid boy!” The little boy turned to say to Cheng Xiaoxiao viciously, “I have lived for 100 years!”
“What gives you the right to kill just because you are 100 years old?” Cheng Xiaoxiao scrutinized the little boy as she attempted to figure out why he hadn’t reincarnated yet.
“What are you looking at?” The little boy quickly turned around when he caught sight of Cheng Xiaoxiao looking at him. He commanded the rock to chase after Chu Hongyi even faster. The rock was only one step away from Chu Hongyi.
“No!” shouted Cheng Xiaoxiao. She swiftly reached her hand out and wanted to grab the ghost by his arm and stop him, but his arm went right through her.
In an instant, Cheng Xiaoxiao lost it. “Why must you kill him?”
“Humph! If Master wants him dead, I will kill him! What can you do about it?” said the little boy as he glanced at Cheng Xiaoxiao coldly. “Kill me if you can !”
“Master?” Cheng Xiaoxiao was briefly stunned. She studied the little boy again.
Had someone bewitched the ghost to kill Chu Hongyi?
She initially thought he was the residence’s ghost. From the looks of it now, there was a mastermind controlling him!
However, judging from the ghost’s killing tactics, he didn’t seem as merciless as the other malicious spirits she had captured before.
He either resorted to drowning Chu Hongyi or exhausting him to death!
Hence, this ghost was probably kind at heart. Perhaps she could get to the ghost using this angle.
Cheng Xiaoxiao walked over. She raised her hand once more and touched the ghost’s head in mid-air and said warmly, “Stupid boy, I bet you don’t like to kill.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao glanced at the rock over Chu Hongyi’s head as she spoke, “Why don’t you put the rock down so we can have a nice chat?”
“Go away!” The ghost glared at Cheng Xiaoxiao before tilting his head to avoid her hand. “Don’t touch me!”
Hadn’t she seen how she looked? She was dressed in wet clothes which were too long for her!
“Why should I have a bet with you? I hate liars!” said the little boy as she looked at Chu Hongyi viciously. “If it weren’t for you, I would have killed him ages ago and gone home!”
The rock went crashing down on Chu Hongyi once more.
THUD!
“No!” Cheng Xiaoxiao turned her head in shock. She saw Chu Hongyi hugging a tree with his face ghastly pale as he looked at the huge hole the rock had smashed on the ground.
“Humph! Let’s see whether you can keep dodging my stone!”
The little boy swiftly waved at the rock. A dark smoke covered it as it hovered.
Chu Hongyi quickly let go of the tree and ran towards Cheng Xiaoxiao when he saw the rock coming for him again.
Chu Hongyi ran up to Cheng Xiaoxiao and shoved her as he said, “Are you nuts? Why are you talking to the air! Hurry up and get me help!”
The moment he finished his sentence, the rock made him run around Cheng Xiaoxiao nonstop before she could answer him!
He ran as he yelled, “Quit standing around like a fool and get some help!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao rubbed her aching arm after Chu Hongyi shoved her. She turned to look at Chu Hongyi from behind indignantly as she shook her head powerlessly. How could Chu Hongyi push her so hard?
It hurt!
If she wasn’t trying to save him, would she have to negotiate with the little boy?
That ingrate!
She mulled before she glared at Chu Hongyi angrily and turned to look at the little boy and agitated him, “Stupid boy, you must be afraid of me if you don’t dare to accept my challenge!”
“Why would I be afraid of you?” The little boy swiftly turned around to glare at Cheng Xiaoxiao as black smoke gathered on his hand.
Cheng Xiaoxiao was so startled by the sudden vicious look in his eyes that she trembled and instinctively retreated.
She recalled that her jade pendant could absorb spirit energy, so she instantly halted her steps and looked at the little boy to smile as she said, “Then I bet nothing will happen to me after you strike me!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao took a step towards the little boy as she spoke. She looked at his hands as she said, “If you can manage to hurt me, I will stop helping him, but…”
Cheng Xiaoxiao glanced at Chu Hongyi before she turned to look at the little boy and continued, “If you can’t hurt me, then you can’t kill him!”
“Haha!” The little boy suddenly held his stomach and burst out laughing. “Humph! Those are bold words!”
This woman was hilarious to challenge him to this. Despite looking like a child, he was already over 100 years old.
Also, his master had been making daily offerings in front of his altar and often sacrificed him good food.
If his blow landed on her, even the pillar behind her would break, let alone her petite frame.
“Haha! Let’s see who’s talking big.” Cheng Xiaoxiao stepped forward and walked up next to the boy and said with her eyes gleaming, “Let’s find out, you coward!”
“Who are you calling a coward?”
The little boy looked at the woman before him with his hand trembling in mid-air. “If you keep pushing me, don’t blame me for attacking!”
“Was I wrong? Since you don’t dare to accept the bet, you must be a coward! Look at how hard your hand is shivering. You are just a paper tiger,” said Cheng Xiaoxiao as she rolled her eyes at the boy before she smiled mockingly. “You even claim that you can send me flying with a single blow! That must be a lie!”
“You…”
The little boy could no longer stand it. The black smoke in his hands intensified. “Don’t force me!”
Although she was annoying, she was an adorable cat, so the little boy couldn’t bring himself to kill her.
“Coward!” Cheng Xiaoxiao lowered her body and said over his head, “You are a coward!”
“AH! DIE!” The little boy’s eyes turned red as he hastily attacked Cheng Xiaoxiao at the chest. An intense dark smoke shot out from his palm.
The moment the boy attacked, he regretted it. She was bound to die from the blow!
“AH!” he yelled and wanted to pull the spirit energy back. However, a shocking sight came into view and left him dumbstruck. The woman did not fly into the air from his attack. Instead, she stood where she was as she looked at him and smiled.
“How can that be?”
