Instead, Chu Hongyi seemed incapable of hearing her and continued to remove his garments to toss them by the lake.

A little boy around three to four years old sat on a rock by the lake as he looked at Chu Hongyi and cheered as he clapped!

With a wave of his hand, Chu Hongyi sank completely underwater!

Yellow light suddenly flashed from the jade pendant.
Cheng Xiaoxiao pressed her paws on the jade pendant and said in her heart once more, “Change me into a human!”
Chu Hongyi was about to drown to death!

As she thought hard, Cheng Xiaoxiao sensed her body ripping apart.
Before she wrapped her mind around it, a piercing yellow light shot out from her jade pendant.

When she gathered her thoughts, she was lying under Chu Hongyi’s garments on the ground.
Cheng Xiaoxiao put on his clothes without hesitation and secured the belt tightly on her waist.

She jumped into the water!
“What are you doing?”
The little boy saw the white cat suddenly transforming into a human and jumping into the lake. He was shocked and hastily jumped off the rock and ran to the lakeside.
Cheng Xiaoxiao couldn’t be bothered with the boy. Instead, she dove into the lake and felt around for Chu Hongyi.

A shrill creepy voice came from behind, “Who are you? You could even change from a cat to a human!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao pressed Chu Hongyi’s chest as she turned to tell the boy behind her, “You are so young! Of all the things you could do, why kill?”
“Why did you save him? He must die today!”
A large rock suddenly floated over Cheng Xiaoxiao’s head. Cheng Xiaoxiao continued to perform CPR as she glanced at the rock overhead while the boy said coldly, “If you don’t get out of the way, I will kill you too!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao panicked.
Although she couldn’t be harmed by spirit energy, she could die if her head was struck by rocks controlled by spirit energy!
“Wait!” Cheng Xiaoxiao raised her hands and gestured defeat. “I will get out of your way!”

The boy paused and looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao. She had long eyelashes and large eyes. Although she was in human form, she still resembled the cat.

The little boy waved to her and said, “Come over!”
“Okay!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao stood up as she replied and hastily kicked sand at the boy!
The instant the sand flew into the air, Cheng Xiaoxiao bent over to pull Chu Hongyi’s arm hard as she shouted, “Chu Hongyi, wake up!”
“What are you doing?”
The little boy raised his hand to wave the sand away as he stared at Cheng Xiaoxiao with his dark eyes!
Instead of running towards the little boy, she went to pull Chu Hongyi.
“You want to die!”
A sense of betrayal instantly swelled in the little boy’s heart!
Cheng Xiaoxiao yanked Chu Hongyi to a flower bed by the side as she looked at the huge rock overhead as it followed her.
“Chu Hongyi!” She kept pulling Chu Hongyi as she said with her voice trembling, “Wake up!”
“Why? Why did you lie to me?” roared the little boy angrily!
The weather suddenly altered. The perfect weather instantly became dark and cloudy!
Cheng Xiaoxiao tightened her grip on Chu Hongyi’s arm. They were done for!
If she were alone, there was nothing the ghost could do to her!
However, she was stuck with Chu Hongyi now!
