Lose My Heart to the Lovely Kitten Princess - Chapter 80
Chapter 80 Stop fighting
Chu Hongyi watched as Chu Yunshen strode over. He immediately laughed and said, “Why are you home so early? Did you have an easy day at the justice department today?”
Chu Yunshen sneered coldly before scooping Cheng Xiaoxiao from Chu Hongyi’s arms.
Instead, Cheng Xiaoxiao pulled at Chu Hongyi’s robes hard as she begged with her eyes while Chu Yunshen pulled her into his arms.
“Meow.”
Please don’t tell Chu Yunshen that she scratched him earlier.
Chu Hongyi spotted Chu Yunshen’s face turning dark when the cat clawed hard on his robe. He hurriedly removed her paws cautiously. “Heh heh. Her claws are stuck. Let help pull them off.”
Before he laid his hands on Cheng Xiaoxiao’s paws, Chu Yunshen reached his hand out and removed them swiftly.
“Oh!” Chu Hongyi pulled his hands back awkwardly and touched his head as he said, “All done.”
After Cheng Xiaoxiao was pulled into Chu Yunshen’s arms, she could sense how angry he was.
She struggled to escape him, but Chu Yunshen hastily patted her head as his cold voice came from overhead suddenly. “Don’t move!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao was terrified and angry. She raised her head and glared at Chu Yunshen angrily. Tears nearly welled in her eyes when Chu Yunshen stared at her coldly.
Why was he doing this to her?
Chu Yunshen noticed the cat’s eyes going red. It seemed as though she had glared at him too hard and felt indignant. Just as he was about to veer his eyes from her, he recalled what the cat had just done.
He glared at her again before squeezing her head hard.
How dare the cat behave this way since she barely knew Chu Hongyi?
When she saw Chu Yunshen, she snuggled into Chu Hongyi’s arms and looked at Chu Hongyi longingly!
Did she know who her owner was?
“Meow!”
Let her go!
Cheng Xiaoxiao felt triggered by Chu Yunshen’s glaring! She tried so hard to compromise!
Tears were on the brink of falling from her eyes! Why did Chu Yunshen treat her so badly?
Since it didn’t work when she played nice, she could only try something more extreme!
Cheng Xiaoxiao hissed at Chu Yunshen as she struggled to escape his embrace!
Chu Yunshen noticed how Cheng Xiaoxiao was unrepentant despite his angry stares and even ended up willful.
In an instant, he felt he had indulged the cat too much.
To the extent that the cat now disrespected him!
Very well!
He was going to teach her a lesson in a moment!
Chu Yunshen pressed Cheng Xiaoxiao’s head into his arms as he walked into the residence with her.
Chu Hongyi stood by the side as he watched Chu Yunshen and the white cat stare at each other for a while like they were in a fight.
Chu Yunshen gave the white cat the cold shoulder just like he did in the palace.
Chu Hongyi went into a daze. When he gathered his thoughts and realized Chu Yunshen had gone back into the residence, he hurriedly composed himself and shouted, “Brother Yunshen!”
Chu Yunshen turned his head swiftly to look at Chu Hongyi as he said coldly, “Yes?”
Chu Hongyi trembled from Chu Yunshen’s icy looks. He slowly raised his hand to show him the scratch had Cheng Xiaoxiao given him.
When Cheng Xiaoxiao heard what Chu Hongyi said, she pulled Chu Yunshen’s robes and leaned over his shoulder to look at Chu Hongyi.
She caught sight of him standing in front of the horse carriage with a smile on his face with his hand raised…
Cheng Xiaoxiao’s heart was in her mouth when she saw the red scratch on his hand. Oh no. Was he really going to…
Chu Hongyi raised his hand and pointed at Cheng Xiaoxiao lying on Chu Yunshen’s shoulder. “I just wanted to say goodbye to her.”
Chu Hongyi waved his hand and said to her, “Goodbye, little fellow. See you tomorrow.”
Chu Yunshen’s face instantly turned dark. Cheng Xiaoxiao was looking at Chu Hongyi when Chu Yunshen suddenly turned her head away.
Cheng Xiaoxiao was startled by Chu Hongyi!
She narrowed her eyes as Chu Yunshen pulled her back into his embrace.
What did he mean by see her tomorrow?
Did he think she spent all the effort gathering spiritual energy so that she could play hide and seek with him every day?
But Chu Hongyi had already gone up the horse carriage by now.
“Brother Yunshen.” Chu Hongyi suddenly stuck his head out of the horse carriage. He looked at Chu Yunshen with the white cat in his arms and couldn’t help waving. “I’m going back to the palace.
However, Chu Yunshen surprisingly didn’t tell Chu Hongyi not to come the next day.
Did this mean all his efforts these past few days had paid off?
Chu Yunshen watched as Chu Hongyi’s horse carriage went afar before he said to Butler Liu, “Send Wan Xia over.”
“Yes, Your Highness!’ said Butler Liu immediately.
Cheng Xiaoxiao hastily raised her head when she heard him calling for Wan Xia.
Why did Chu Yunshen want to see Wan Xia?
“Behave!”
Chu Yunshen suddenly rapped her head, so Cheng Xiaoxiao instantly glared at him furiously.
Did he need a woman’s company?
Did he have to take her along with him?
Chu Yunshen misunderstood and thought Cheng Xiaoxiao couldn’t wait to see Wan Xia.
He instantly pressed Cheng Xiaoxiao’s head hard into his arms.
In comparison to Chu Hongyi, he would rather get Wan Xia to take care of the cat.
Chu Yunshen contemplated as he carried Cheng Xiaoxiao back to the room. No matter how reckless Chu Hongyi was, he wouldn’t dare cause trouble in Yulan quarters.
No matter what, he couldn’t let the little fellow hang out with Chu Hongyi.
All it took was a few days for her to curl up in Chu Hongyi’s arms and forget who her real owner was!
Also, the cat even wanted to chase after Chu Hongyi when he left!
Chu Yunshen tightened his embrace on Cheng Xiaoxiao as he pondered.
If he continued to let her see Chu Hongyi, she might end up going back to the palace with him!
At the thought, Chu Yunshen couldn’t help glaring at the cat in his arms resentfully.
But the cat happened to be looking at him when he looked down.
“Meow!”
Stop staring at her!
Cheng Xiaoxiao stuck her claws out and waved it at Chu Yunshen.
Chu Yunshen grabbed Cheng Xiaoxiao’s paw and glanced at her coldly. “Do you want to go with Hongyi so badly?”
“Meow?”
Huh?
Cheng Xiaoxiao was stunned. What was Chu Yunshen saying?
When did she ever say she wanted to leave with Chu Hongyi?
Chu Yunshen headed to the room when he noticed that Cheng Xiaoxiao stopped kicking a fuss.
After getting back to the room, Chu Yunshen told the maid to send tea.
He sat down at the desk and looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao as she attempted to escape him before he looked at the baby bird jumping in its cage.
A notion quickly emerged in his mind. If she refused to stay in his arms obediently, he would tell Xiaowu to make a cage she couldn’t escape from.
However, it was merely a passing thought. The moment he looked into Cheng Xiaoxiao’s eyes, the thought dissipated.
Since the cat hated getting caged so much, he wouldn’t resort to it unless he had no choice.
Butler Liu knocked on the door, and his voice came from outside.
“Miss Wan Xia is here.”
“Come in.”
Chu Yunshen patted Cheng Xiaoxiao’s head gently as he looked at her before glancing at the baby bird’s cage.
Cheng Xiaoxiao instantly grasped that Chu Yunshen wanted to cage her if she continued to misbehave.
She felt a pang in her heart. He knew she hated being caged.
How could he threaten to cage her?
She raised her head to glance at Chu Yunshen and suddenly stopped struggling.
Did he want her to behave?
Fine. She would behave.
Cheng Xiaoxiao lowered her head and let Chu Yunshen smoothen the fur on her back that had already exploded.
Cheng Xiaoxiao felt heartbroken. She always thought Chu Yunshen knew her best.
Now she realized she was deeply mistaken.
All this time, Chu Yunshen merely viewed her as a cat.
He could stroke her when he was in the mood. Otherwise, he could throw her into a cage or hit her head.
But she found herself hilarious too.
Just look at herself. She was merely a cat. How could she wishfully think he would have feelings for her.
Chu Yunshen could keenly sense the cat in his arms instantly calming down, and it made him feel flustered. He lowered his head to see the cat sitting in his arms with her head slumping. Just as he was about to talk to her, Butler Liu walked over with Wan Xia.
Chu Yunshen gathered his thoughts and stroked Cheng Xiaoxiao’s head gently as he played with her ears.
Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t retaliate. She didn’t move her head at all and let Chu Yunshen tease her without the slightest reaction.
Chu Yunshen was certain there was something amiss with the cat.
“Your Highness!”
Chu Yunshen stopped looking at Cheng Xiaoxiao and nodded at the two of them. “Uh huh.”
“Have you ever had pets before?”
Chu Yunshen played with Cheng Xiaoxiao as he spoke to Wan Xia.
The little fellow was completely abnormal. In the past, she would crane her head out curiously when she saw Wan Xia. She instantly pricked her ears and looked up earlier when he brought up Wan Xia.
Now that Wan Xia was here, she lowered her head and didn’t react at all.
“Your Highness, I once had a tabby cat,” replied Wan Xia as she bowed to Chu Yunshen gently.
Chu Yunshen looked at Wan Xia. He didn’t expect her to have experience with cats. That made things a whole lot easier.
He could leave the cat with this woman with peace of mind when he wasn’t at home.
Chu Yunshen stroked Cheng Xiaoxiao’s back as he told Wan Xia, “From now on, you will take care of the cat while I’m away.”
“Yes, Your Highness!” Wan Xia was stunned. After she composed herself, she instantly bowed to Chu Yunshen and thanked him, “I will definitely take good care of the cat.”
She didn’t expect to land herself the perfect opportunity to get close to Chu Yunshen so quickly after she arrived.
Amid her joy, Chu Yunshen said coldly from behind the desk, “Enough. Leave.”
“Yes, Your Highness!”
Butler Liu and Wan Xia bowed to Chu Yunshen before leaving one after another.
“Hey, Liu! Why did you bring Miss Wan Xia here?”
The moment Butler Liu walked down the steps, he saw Xiaowu walking over hurriedly.
Wan Xia smiled gently to Xiaowu before she bowed and said, “Sir.”
Xiaowu hurriedly dodged her bow and waved his hand nonstop. “Please don’t do that. I’m too lowly.”
“His Highness just said Miss Wan Xia would take care of the cat when he isn’t around.”
“What?”
Xiaowu glanced at Wan Xia before looking at Chu Yunshen’s closed door.
