Lose My Heart to the Lovely Kitten Princess - Chapter 74
Chapter 74 Stop following me
From now on, Cheng Xiaoxiao wasn’t going to care about Chu Yunshen, the pig!
Cheng Xiaoxiao glared at Chu Yunshen as she threw a temper at him.
Before long, she sensed her eyes feeling increasingly heavy.
Why should she care about that pig?
She was exhausted from capturing Priest Zhao’s spirit. Forget it! She didn’t want to think about it anymore! She was going to sleep.
Cheng Xiaoxiao fell into a deep sleep as she contemplated.
After Chu Yunshen noticed that the lion cat had fallen asleep, he adjusted the blanket so that it wouldn’t cover her head. Chu Yunshen deeply sighed when he saw her sleeping so soundly.
He tapped her forehead gently. Did she know how he felt today when he heard the servant telling him they hadn’t found her all day?
He knew she liked to have fun, so he didn’t tell the servants to restrict her. He only instructed them to keep an eye on her and make sure she didn’t leave the residence.
But the servants were unable to find her even after sundown.
However, she usually turned up in his room around sunset.
He felt the lion cat was getting too playful and naughty.
He only wanted to scare her, but she ended up throwing quite the temper at him!
He was helpless when it came to her.
The next morning, Chu Yunshen had already left when Cheng Xiaoxiao opened her eyes.
Humph. She was happy not to see him!
Chu Yunshen was a pig for beating her yesterday!
When she touched the jade pendant with her paw, it glowed with a yellow light. Her eyes instantly glinted. Forget it!
Her jade pendant was brimming with spiritual energy now!
She could finally have a feast today. The last time she managed to collect enough spiritual energy and wanted to feast in the palace, she almost got killed by the nanny.
The eighth prince even tried to threaten her.
Just thinking about it made her angry about wasting all her spiritual energy.
If she knew things would turn out that way, she wouldn’t have bothered to go to the palace with Chu Yunshen. Instead, she would have snuck out of the residence to eat on her own.
Cheng Xiaoxiao jumped off the bed and found that she was already dressed in a green outfit, but there was nothing on her paw. Where was the bell?
Amid her surprise, she could hear the bell chiming!
She looked around for the bell and found that it was tight on the baby bird’s neck.
Cheng Xiaoxiao walked around the room and reckoned the maid would be sending her breakfast soon.
But why did Chu Yunshen remove the bell? Did her retaliation yesterday work?
Was Chu Yunshen going to stop keeping her shut in the room?
The door opened with a creak from outside.
As usual, the maid turned up with her food.
Cheng Xiaoxiao finished her breakfast obediently and played with the baby bird for a long time under the servant’s supervision.
Cheng Xiaoxiao only snuck out the window when the servant lowered his guard and thought she would be staying put today.
“Where are you going, little fellow?”
Shortly after Cheng Xiaoxiao snuck out of Chu Yunshen’s room, a voice suddenly came from beside her.
“Meow!”
She was so startled that her fur instantly exploded as she turned to look.
She caught sight of Chu Hongyi leaning against the wall looking at her with his head sideways.
She had yet to get around to business but ended up cornered!
More problems surfaced before she even left the residence.
Heavens!
Can problems stop happening when she was trying to transform into a human?
She didn’t care!
Even if Chu Yunshen was standing before her, she wanted to go out!
Cheng Xiaoxiao thought in her heart firmly!
“Hey, little fellow. have you forgotten what I did for you in just a matter of days?” Chu Hongyi straightened his back and strode towards Cheng Xiaoxiao.
Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to glare at Chu Hongyi.
“Meow!”
Stop following her!
A warm smile appeared on Chu Hongyi’s mouth. “Why? Am I wrong? If I didn’t catch you the last time, you would have broken your leg from the fall.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao knew he was talking about the last time she jumped from the wall and accidentally fell into his arms!
Cheng Xiaoxiao turned and wanted to walk around him.
“Little fellow, are you going somewhere? Aren’t you not allowed to go anywhere? Also, I heard that you accidentally offended my mother in the palace,” asked Chu Hongyi continuously.
Even stranger was how Cheng Xiaoxiao was incapable of outrunning him for anything over one meter no matter how fast she ran.
Cheng Xiaoxiao halted in her steps and turned to glare at Chu Hongyi angrily.
“Meow!”
Was he about done?
After she meowed, she rolled her eyes and walked away with her head held high as she strolled around the residents.
She didn’t want anyone to discover the dog hole!
She had to find a way to shape this tail!
Why didn’t she find Chu Hongyi a chatterbox in the past?
She swore she had never seen anyone as irritating as him.
“Hey, little fellow! Wait up!”
Chu Hongyi chased behind Cheng Xiaoxiao unhurriedly the entire way. Just as he was about to catch up with Cheng Xiaoxiao each time, he deliberately slowed down.
He kept chasing after her while she ran.
Chu Hongyi suddenly bumped into some servants at the corner of a pavilion.
The moment the servants spotted Chu Hongyi, everyone was startled. They immediately put down their work and knelt. “Your Highness!”
“Uh huh.”
Chu Hongyi waved as he ran forward and smiled innocently, and said, “Go on with your work. don’t worry about me.”
The servants looked at Chu Hongyi from behind in surprise as he ran off. They looked at each other and wondered what Prince Xuan was doing here since Prince Jing was at work.
“I think we should tell Butler Liu about it,” suggested someone hesitantly.
“Yeah!” Someone nodded and agreed.
Meanwhile, Cheng Xiaoxiao was hiding in the rockery while Chu Hongyi ran after her. She lay prone on a warm rock as she breathed and pricked her ears to listen out for him.
“Little fellow?”
Chu Hongyi’s voice came from outside.
A flash of impatience flashed in Cheng Xiaoxiao’s contrasting eyes, and she shrunk back again.
“Hmm? Found you!”
Chu Hongyi’s voice suddenly came from behind. Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to see Chu Hongyi craning his neck in from behind the rockery, and she instantly slumped and lay on the stone.
“Meow!”
“Your fur feels so smooth.”
Chu Hongyi climbed up the rockery and squatted in front of her, and stroked her head. “No wonder Brother Yunshen loves touching you!”
“Meow!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao’s fur suddenly exploded angrily when Chu Hongyi touched her. She bent over and dug her claws into the stone, hissed sharply and prepared to pounce.
“Oh, can’t I touch you?”
Chu Hongyi suddenly pulled out a plant that resembled mint from his sleeve.
But its leaves were thicker than that of mint, and it was slightly lighter in color. Also, it didn’t smell as strong as mint.
He waved the plant before her nose, and her mind instantly went blank as she shuddered.
Cheng Xiaoxiao’s vision went blurry. The number of plants increased, and everything around
her kept swaying. Even Chu Hongyi seemed to have multiplied.
She felt as though she was drunk.
“Like it?”
Chu Hongyi laughed deeply by her ear as he swayed the plant in front of her.
“I did some homework after I went home. I heard kittens adore catnip, so I brought you some.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao looked ahead and saw three Chu Hongyi walking around in front of her. She raised her paw and smacked his face.
“Meow!”
Go away!
“Do you like it?”
Chu Hongyi watched as the cat brandished her claws at a rock. He swiftly sang the catnip over and rubbed her back gently. “I got my servant to find the best catnip. If you don’t like this flavor, I can find you others.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao looked at the lush green catnip in front of her and couldn’t stop herself from going closer with her mouth salivating.
“Meow meow.”
What should she do now?
She wanted to bite it so badly!
Cheng Xiaoxiao opened her mouth as she licked the catnip in Chu Hongyi’s hand.
The moment she licked it, Cheng Xiaoxiao froze. Then she forced herself to move back. She ended up sitting on a cold rock behind her as she shook her head nonstop.
No!
She needed to show restraint!
After all, she was a human. How could she get so obsessed with catnip?
Amid her internal conflict, her body instinctively lunged towards the catnip in Chu Hongyi’s hands. Chu Hongyi wickedly placed the catnip by her mouth. “Want some? Why won’t you eat it? This is the only catnip I have, so you’ll have to make do.”
Chu Hongyi touched Cheng Xiaoxiao’s nose with the catnip as he spoke, “I promised to bring you better ones next time!”
DING!
Cheng Xiaoxiao’s last line of defense suddenly collapsed. She pounced on Chu Hongyi’s arm swiftly and used her front paws to grab the catnip.
When Chu Hongyi placed the catnip by her mouth, she inadvertently took a bite.
“Meow.”
Oh my!
It smelled awesome!
It was delectable!
The instant Cheng Xiaoxiao ate the catnip, it felt as though an electric current suddenly surged to her head, and she was floating in the air.
After the white cat ate some catnip, Chu Hongyi saw her suddenly swaying her head as she stood on the rockery like she was drunk.
Just as the cat was about to lose her footing and fall off the rockery, Chu Hongyi hastily yelled, “Watch out!”
He instinctively pulled the lion cat into his arms with his other hand. He placed the catnip on the rock by the side before he touched the soft and limp body. He could hear her gurgling as she narrowed her contrasting eyes and kept staring at the catnip on the rock.
“Look at what it did to you?”
Chu Hongyi suddenly threw the catnip angrily onto the ground. “I shouldn’t have trusted those books.”
“Meow!”
No!
Cheng Xiaoxiao instinctively wanted to jump down as the catnip fell down the rockery.
“Be careful! What if you get hurt?” Chu Hongyi pressed the restless lion cat into his arms. He jumped down the rockery and stepped hard on the catnip!
“Meow!”
No!
Cheng Xiaoxiao clawed Chu Hongyi’s robes with her paws hard as she stared at the catnip under his feet.
