Lose My Heart to the Lovely Kitten Princess - Chapter 189
Chapter 189 Do you remember Wan Yun?
Xiaowu went over to Chu Yunshen and wanted to tell Chu Yunshen something, but Wan Xia scoffed mockingly, “Your Highness, since you are a busy man, a lot of things in things probably slipped your mind. I think you have probably forgotten about Wan Yun, right?”
Xiaowu wanted to report matters to Chu Yunshen, but Wan Xia’s words left him stunned.
“Wan Yun was my little sister! She was my biological little sister!”
Wan Xia had already gotten up from the ground. Her face no longer looked as sinister. She simply charged towards the wooden bars in front of her and shouted to Chu Yunshen.
“Miss Wan Xia…” Xiaowu felt sorry for Wan Xia when she suddenly went crazy. He contemplated before he decided to convince her to stop it.
“What? Do you remember now?”
Wan Xia refused to take Xiaowu’s advice. She held the wooden bars so tightly that some splinters had stabbed into her flesh making her bleed, but she stood where she was and held onto it tightly as though nothing happened.
“Your Highness, is an important man, but how could you kill my little sister for a lion cat? My poor little sister was so young, but she died.”
Wan Xia kept looking at Chu Yunshen’s face waiting for a change in his expression as she spoke. However, Chu Yunshen kept up a calm face making Wan Xia even more agitated.
“Your Highness, you probably don’t know this. When you were embracing me in the room, you kept calling me the lion cat.”
Wan Xia spoke incoherently before she suddenly burst out laughing.
Her beautiful eyes were crescent-shaped when she laughed and the smile on her face looked particularly seductive.
Xiaowu didn’t believe a word Wan Xia said. How could he take it lying down when she insulted Chu Yunshen? Xiaowu promptly shouted for Wan Xia to stop it.
“How dare you?”
Wan Xia stopped laughing. She composed herself before raising her head to wipe a tear from the corner of her eye gently. She raised her chin proudly at Chu Yunshen. “Are you afraid of hearing the truth?”
Xiaowu wanted to speak, but Chu Yunshen was quietly looking at Wan Xia when he stopped Xiaowu. “Let her speak.”
Sadly, Wan Xia didn’t bother being nice. She pointed at Chu Yunshen and looked straight into his face as she spoke even more audaciously.
“Chu Yunshen, stop pretending already! You have just been using me as a cover. In reality, you love the lion cat.”
Chu Yunshen didn’t react whatsoever, so Wan Xia felt agitated by his lousy attitude.
“Everyone in the residence and the country know how intelligent your lion cat is. Unfortunately, no one knows it is a demon cat.”
The moment Wan Xia called Cheng Xiaoxiao a demon cat, Chu Yunshen’s face instantly looked stern as he looked at her threateningly.
Wan Xia was briefly stunned before she smiled mockingly and pointed at Chu Yunshen seductively. “She is a demon cat. She understands humans and has her own mind. Don’t you agree? Who knows? She might just even suddenly speak one day.”
Chu Yunshen’s stern face flushed red slightly and his deep eyes looked utterly cold.
Wan Xia acted as though she was completely oblivious to Chu Yunshen’s reaction. She kept staring at Chu Yunshen as he looked straight at her with his face flushing in anger without veering his eyes.
“Has it ever dawned on you this could be retribution? Your beloved lion cat is a demon. How could you the mighty Prince Jing’s cat be a demon? Hahahaha…”
Chu Yunshen’s eyes nearly spewed fire, so Wan Xia smiled sinisterly and spoke even more sweetly.
“啧啧
“Tsk tsk. I didn’t expect you to have such unusual fetishes.”
“Enough!”
Chu Yunshen’s face was red, but he quickly looked annoyed. The glacial look on his face looked particularly intimidating.
The coldness radiating from Chu Yunshen was so chilly that Xiaowu didn’t dare to speak and even breathed quietly.
Wan Xia wasn’t afraid of Chu Yunshen and continued laughing seductively. Her red lips parted before she continued to agitate him.
“Your Highness, didn’t you want to know? Why? Are you throwing a temper after I embarrassed you? I have a lot more details I can tell you about! If you are interested, I will tell you everything.”
“Shut up!”
Chu Yunshen finally couldn’t stand it and slammed the wooden table in the jail cell with his hand making the table split into half with a clang.
Wan Xia continued looking at Chu Yunshen quizzically with an innocent and puzzled look in her beautiful eyes.
Chu Yunshen stood up the moment he slammed the table. He pursed his lips as he looked at Wan Xia who was undaunted. However, his usual nonchalance had disappeared from his face.
The atmosphere in the prison instantly turned scarily quiet. It was so quiet that Xiaowu and Wan Xia’s heartbeats were audible.
Wan Xia had composed herself and reverted to her usual elegant self.
It was so fast and different that Xiaowu had trouble figuring out which one was the true Wan Xia.
“Master…”
Xiaowu trembled looking at Wan Xia before turning to look at Chu Yunshen.
Chu Yunshen uttered coldly with his face stiff, “Lock her up for now. We can interrogate her tomorrow.”
“Yes, Master!”
The moment Chu Yunshen finished his sentence, he turned to leave.
After Xiaowu acknowledged Chu Yunshen, he checked the lock on Wan Xia’s cell and left without even turning to look at her. It seemed as though a ghost might pop out of nowhere if he was too slow.
She sat down and laughed in self-ridicule as she rubbed her trembling legs with her shaky hands after they had left.
Chu Yunshen was so annoyed that he left the jail. Cheng Xiaoxiao was in Chu Yunshen’s bedroom and incapable of composing herself.
After she entered the room with Xiao Qin and Chu Yunshen, she felt even more annoyed just thinking about it. The moment she caught sight of the messy bed, she could not help feeling angry.
She didn’t know whether she was imagining it or simply had an excellent sense of smell. She kept smelling Wan Xia’s fragrance lingering in the room.
The fragrance made her feel uneasy, and it was impossible to get accustomed to it.
How could she stay in the room?
Cheng Xiaoxiao took her outfit and jade box and threw them into the baby bird’s cage. After telling Xiao Qin to make herself comfortable, she kept pacing up and down in the room on her own.
She kept walking from the study desk to the coffee table before walking over to the pillar where Wan Xia attempted to commit suicide.
She was promptly reminded of those terrible things that had just happened!
She decided to go somewhere else!
She couldn’t bear to enter the inner room and it was simply annoying!
Unfortunately, Xiao Qin didn’t know better and kept floating behind Cheng Xiaoxiao everywhere she went.
Cheng Xiaoxiao nearly walked into Xiao Qin inadvertently several times.
Although humans would end up walking right through ghosts, Cheng Xiaoxiao couldn’t help feeling it was a bad idea.
“Why do you keep following me around?”
When Cheng Xiaoxiao suddenly turned around and pulled her feet back, she finally lost her temper on Xiao Qin and asked what Xiao Qin was trying to do.
“I… I don’t know what else I can do either.”
Xiao Qin noticed Cheng Xiaoxiao’s angry tone, so she lowered her head and didn’t dare to look at Cheng Xiaoxiao. Instead, she kept staring at the embroidered shoes on her feet as she answered softly.
Cheng Xiaoxiao realized she was a little too harsh, so she had frightened Xiao Qin. She could only soften her tone and slowly explain to her Xiao Qin.
“Don’t mind me. I tend to get anxious, so I sometimes sound a little harsh, but I’m not angry and I don’t mean it. Don’t take it to heart.”
Xiao Qin kept rubbing her feet on the ground as she floated in midair with her head lowered and contemplated hard.
Cheng Xiaoxiao added encouragingly, “I mean it. Just think about your unfinished wishes. Don’t be shy.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao was caught by surprise when Xiao Qin lowered her head even more as she spoke in a soft shy tone, “I already know what I want…”
“Do you know what you want already? That was faster than I expected!”
Cheng Xiaoxiao exclaimed in surprise. Cheng Xiaoxiao quickly reminded herself not to scare Xiao Qin again this time, so she spoke to Xiao Qin in a tone so gentle that it made her hair stand. “In that case, what is your wish? Tell me and I will help you fulfill it, okay?”
“I…”
Xiao Qin prepared herself mentally before she mustered enough courage to raise her head and looked at Cheng Xiaoxiao with determination as she said, “I want you to take me to see Miss Wan Xia.”
Cheng Xiaoxiao was stunned and went quiet for a long time. Complicated emotions ran through her heart and she didn’t know what to say to Xiao Qin.
When Xiao Qin suddenly heard the lion cat go quiet, her lips parted as she added softly, “Please? Can you help me?”
Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t know what she was thinking and nodded to Xiao Qin automatically.
By the time she realized what she had done, she had promised to take Xiao Qin to the prison and was already halfway there. Cheng Xiaoxiao strangely felt a sense of relief.
She couldn’t believe her ears.
Cheng Xiaoxiao was in a daze the entire time until they had reached the prison. Why did everything feel so surreal to her?
Why did she end up promising Xiao Qin to take her to the prison to see Wan Xia? Had Wan Xia placed a curse on Xiao Qin previously?
No matter what she felt, they were already here, so it made sense for them to go in. Otherwise, it would become a wasted trip.
Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t slow down as she pondered.
Xiao Qin was a ghost, so she did not have to worry about being seen. Cheng Xiaoxiao was a lion cat and had a lot of experience running out of the residence previously.
It was easy as pie for a ghost and the cat to sneak past the guard and enter the jail.
After Cheng Xiaoxiao and Xiao Qin were finally standing in front of the prison entrance, Cheng Xiaoxiao suddenly felt like running off.
“Why don’t you go in on your own? Why should I go in?”
Cheng Xiaoxiao felt she had no reason to see Wan Xia. Moreover, Wan Xia had previously used her. Did Cheng Xiaoxiao seem like the sort to overlook it?
“No, no, no. Why don’t you go in and check on Miss Wan Xia for me?”
If Cheng Xiaoxiao knew this would happen, she would not have promised Xiao Qin to take her to see Wan Xia.
Xiao Qin looked like she was on the brink of crying. Cheng Xiaoxiao found it unbearable, so she reached her chubby paw in front of Xiao Qin powerlessly.
“Fine, fine, fine! I will do it! Just stop crying will you? You win!”
