Lose My Heart to the Lovely Kitten Princess - Chapter 183
Chapter 183 A loving adulterous couple
Wan Xia sobbed softly as she spoke and turned her head sideways to wipe her tears with her handkerchief.
She was beautiful when she cried.
Sadly, Cheng Xiaoxiao wasn’t going to buy it this time and was completely unmoved.
Instead, she was surprised Chu Yunshen would allow them to stay. After she had hinted to Chu Yunshen there was something wrong with Wan Xia, she thought he would simply make an excuse to keep her stay.
Never mind. She couldn’t be bothered with him now.
As long as Wan Xia was not permitted to enter the compound, she had gotten what she wanted.
Chu Yunshen didn’t respond to Wan Xia. Instead, he went over to the lion cat and squatted down to speak gently, “She isn’t going into the compound anymore. What do you want to do now?”
From the sound of it, Chu Yunshen was trying to make the lion cat happy.
Sadly, Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t fall for it.
Cheng Xiaoxiao sashayed away from Chu Yunshen proudly without even turning to look. She even deliberately swiped his face with her tail.
However, Chu Yunshen did not get angry at all. Instead, Xiaowu glared at the lion cat until veins throbbed from the corner of his eyes when he saw how disrespectful the lion cat was. It seemed as though he was about to charge over and throw the lion cat out of the window any second now.
Cheng Xiaoxiao wasn’t afraid of Xiaowu since he was just a paper tiger. Chu Yunshen was around, so Xiaowu wouldn’t dare to try anything funny. Moreover, Chu Yunshen was feeling guilty about what happened, so it was the perfect opportunity for Cheng Xiaoxiao to swagger around proudly.
That was right.
Cheng Xiaoxiao thought Chu Yunshen was trying to make amends after committing adultery with Wan Xia, so she didn’t bother trying to be nice to him.
Cheng Xiaoxiao walked straight up to the baby bird’s cage and pulled up the jade box. She deftly held it with her mouth and walked off. Thankfully, the jade box was rather small. Otherwise, Cheng Xiaoxiao felt it was just a matter of time before her mouth became ginormous from holding it.
The baby bird was particularly quiet today. Perhaps it was because so many shocking things had happened today. Cheng Xiaoxiao felt a little unaccustomed to it when the baby bird suddenly stopped chirping.
She held the jade box with her mouth as she walked over to the door without looking sideways while Chu Yunshen and the others look at her perplexedly.
For some reason, a bold notion rose in Cheng Xiaoxiao’s mind.
Cheng Xiaoxiao swiftly acted the moment she came up with the idea.
The lion cat flung her head at Chu Yunshen and let go of the jade box promptly.
Chu Yunshen was squatting there waiting for her next orders. When he saw the jade box flying towards him, he instinctively wanted to dodge. The moment he saw the smug look on the lion cat’s face from the corner of his eye, he decided against it.
The jade box flew squarely towards Chu Yunshen’s face when the lion cat flung it.
Chu Yunshen’s face instantly got hit by the jade box.
“Master!”
Xiaowu felt anxious and annoyed. Since Chu Yunshen remained expressionless, he could only quietly tighten his fists as he stared at the lion cat with fire spewing from his eyes.
Chu Yunshen was in no hurry to wipe the slobber from his face. Instead, he lowered his head to pick up the jade box.
Since there was still cat saliva on it, and it had fallen onto the ground, it was now covered with a sticky layer of dust.
Chu Yunshen surprisingly didn’t show any disdain. He seemed oblivious of the sticky texture of the jade box and simply held it in his hand.
Chu Yunshen’s nonchalance made Cheng Xiaoxiao think for a moment that she was just imagining things. However, Chu Yunshen’s face was clearly red after getting hit by the jade box. Even though it was only faintly red, it was impossible for the mark to go away immediately.
Xiaowu screamed in shock while everyone else looked at Chu Yunshen in astonishment.
Everyone felt bewildered by Chu Yunshen’s reaction. Even the culprit didn’t understand why he was reacting this way.
After all, her little prank seemed slightly overboard. She simply wanted to teach Chu Yunshen a lesson. Since Chu Yunshen was a martial arts expert, he was entirely capable of dodging the jade box.
She didn’t expect things to turn out this way.
Was Chu Yunshen going to punish her for it later?
Cheng Xiaoxiao was instantly afraid just thinking about the consequences.
However, she refused to give in. If Chu Yunshen ended up throwing a temper at her, she would do the same and settle scores with him.
It was the perfect time for them to break up since she had no reason to keep staying here.
Cheng Xiaoxiao glared at Chu Yunshen, but it was clear that she had lost her confidence and was starting to look a little guilty.
“Are you still angry?”
Chu Yunshen held the jade box with one hand while he scooped up the cat with the other. He spoke in the same gentle tone and it seemed as though the lion cat didn’t pull a prank on him at all.
Meow meow meow?
Was Chu Yunshen possessed earlier?
Cheng Xiaoxiao couldn’t believe he was Chu Yunshen.
How could Chu Yunshen be so nice? How could Chu Yunshen forgive her so easily and let it go? He had OCD. How could he stand getting hit by a slobbery jade box?
Cheng Xiaoxiao wanted to pull Chu Yunshen’s face to check if he was wearing a mask, so she reached her paw out and patted his face. The moment she sensed he was real, she finally realized what she had just done.
Cheng Xiaoxiao instantly pulled her paw back.
“What’s wrong?”
Chu Yunshen quickly put the jade box in his chest and wanted to hold the lion cat.
He wanted to carry the lion cat in front of him, but she reacted even more strongly. This time, she meowed agonizingly as she struggled even harder.
Chu Yunshen felt powerless, so he could only gently let go of the lion cat. He wanted to place her on the ground, but she unexpectedly jumped out of his arms on her own and hid by the side of the door without looking at him.
Chu Yunshen sighed faintly as Cheng Xiaoxiao leaped out of his arms. Since it was very brief, Cheng Xiaoxiao had trouble hearing it and couldn’t be bothered with it.
She could smell the scent of gardenia and jasmine when Chu Yunshen held her in his arms.
It was Wan Xia’s fragrance and his chest was covered with it.
Jealousy instantly swept through Cheng Xiaoxiao’s heart just thinking about it.
Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t want to think about it or let him touch her.
God knew what Chu Yunshen and Wan Xia had done. She didn’t want to think about it. Also, she didn’t have the courage to do it.
However, Cheng Xiaoxiao knew she needed to calm down completely if she wanted to continue staying rational and deal with the problem.
Since there was hardly any more fragrance lingering in the air, Cheng Xiaoxiao calmly inhaled and forced herself to stop thinking about it.
Cheng Xiaoxiao jumped out the door and gestured for Chu Yunshen to follow her.
Chu Yunshen was still reeling in disappointment when the lion cat refused to let him carry her. However, he automatically followed behind the lion cat when she wanted to go somewhere.
The lion cat glanced at Wan Xia and Xiao Yue this time.
“You two are coming along.”
After coolly dropping his instructions, Chu Yunshen walked beside the lion cat.
Xiaowu was already numb from seeing this, so he stopped clenching his fists. He bowed to Wan Xia expressionlessly and gestured for Wan Xia and Xiao Yue to come along.
Wan Xia could only follow behind the lion cat holding her handkerchief as Xiao Yue supported her by the arm.
The lion cat took the lead and deliberately walked quickly. However, Chu Yunshen caught up with her effortlessly and walked beside her. The same went for Xiaowu.
Unfortunately, Xiao Yue and Wan Xia had trouble catching up. Although Wan Xia was gasping breathlessly and the hair hanging by the side of her head was sweaty, she remained stunning.
As for Xiao Yue, she kept gasping after walking a short distance and had to stop to rest.
Xiaowu didn’t expect Wan Xia to react this way. Despite her vulnerable exterior, she was stronger than a maid who was accustomed to menial labor.
Cheng Xiaoxiao naturally caught on to this as well. The moment she looked at Wan Xia, she felt Wan Xia was absolutely pretentious.
Before Cheng Xiaoxiao discovered Wan Xia’s true nature when Cheng Xiaoxiao still felt she was a friend, she thought Wan Xia was perfect.
Now that the truth was out, she simply felt Wan Xia was an evil spirit wearing a mask and everything about her seemed fake.
Cheng Xiaoxiao felt she must be blind and instantly sped up.
Even though the residence was huge, Cheng Xiaoxiao was simply walking too quickly.
Moreover, Cheng Xiaoxiao even ended up digging all four paws into the ground as she ran, so she reached Wan Xia’s quarters in no time.
Cheng Xiaoxiao naturally didn’t hesitate when she arrived and promptly threw herself at the door to open it without waiting for Chu Yunshen to help.
Since Chu Yunshen couldn’t stop the lion cat, he left her to it.
The moment the white silhouette got to the door, Wan Xia came over quickly to stop the lion cat without even stopping to catch her breath when she got to the entrance.
“Your Highness, do you mind giving me a minute to clean up my quarters?”
Wan Xia clutched her chest as she breathed deeply and implored Chu Yunshen in a weak tone.
No way!
If Cheng Xiaoxiao was incapable of seeing through Wan Xia’s ploy, she would be a real idiot.
Why was Chu Yunshen looking at Wan Xia lovingly? Did he want the whole world to know they had slept together?
The lion cat kept trying to charge forward, so Wan Xia could only hold the door tightly.
Wan Xia was starting to lose her cool and run out of ideas, so she was unable to make sense as she kept thinking about how to buy herself more time.
“Your Highness, since I just made some food for the lion cat to eat earlier, the quarters are probably in a mess. I think…”
Chu Yunshen continued looking at Wan Xia impatiently.
Cheng Xiaoxiao was impatient and didn’t want to waste time explaining herself. She walked past Wan Xia’s side and threw herself at the door before darting to Wan Xia’s bedroom door.
Hurry up! Why was this adulterous couple taking their own sweet time?
Were they waiting to get married?
The lion cat entered the room before Chu Yunshen and the others. She stood at the door and even kept turning to wave her paw at them.
Did she think her body was made of iron?
Chu Yunshen watched as the lion cat threw herself at the door several times and pursed his lips tightly. When he followed behind the lion cat, he turned sideways slightly as he entered through the door to avoid Wan Xia who was standing there.
