Wan Xia sobbed softly as she spoke and turned her head sideways to wipe her tears with her handkerchief.

She was beautiful when she cried.

Sadly, Cheng Xiaoxiao wasn’t going to buy it this time and was completely unmoved.

Instead, she was surprised Chu Yunshen would allow them to stay. After she had hinted to Chu Yunshen there was something wrong with Wan Xia, she thought he would simply make an excuse to keep her stay.

Cheng Xiaoxiao wasn’t afraid of Xiaowu since he was just a paper tiger. Chu Yunshen was around, so Xiaowu wouldn’t dare to try anything funny. Moreover, Chu Yunshen was feeling guilty about what happened, so it was the perfect opportunity for Cheng Xiaoxiao to swagger around proudly.

Cheng Xiaoxiao thought Chu Yunshen was trying to make amends after committing adultery with Wan Xia, so she didn’t bother trying to be nice to him.

The jade box flew squarely towards Chu Yunshen’s face when the lion cat flung it.

Xiaowu felt anxious and annoyed. Since Chu Yunshen remained expressionless, he could only quietly tighten his fists as he stared at the lion cat with fire spewing from his eyes.

Chu Yunshen was in no hurry to wipe the slobber from his face. Instead, he lowered his head to pick up the jade box.

Since there was still cat saliva on it, and it had fallen onto the ground, it was now covered with a sticky layer of dust.

Xiaowu screamed in shock while everyone else looked at Chu Yunshen in astonishment.

Chu Yunshen quickly put the jade box in his chest and wanted to hold the lion cat.

He wanted to carry the lion cat in front of him, but she reacted even more strongly. This time, she meowed agonizingly as she struggled even harder.

Chu Yunshen felt powerless, so he could only gently let go of the lion cat. He wanted to place her on the ground, but she unexpectedly jumped out of his arms on her own and hid by the side of the door without looking at him.

Chu Yunshen was still reeling in disappointment when the lion cat refused to let him carry her. However, he automatically followed behind the lion cat when she wanted to go somewhere.

The lion cat glanced at Wan Xia and Xiao Yue this time.

“You two are coming along.”

After coolly dropping his instructions, Chu Yunshen walked beside the lion cat.

Xiaowu was already numb from seeing this, so he stopped clenching his fists. He bowed to Wan Xia expressionlessly and gestured for Wan Xia and Xiao Yue to come along.

Wan Xia could only follow behind the lion cat holding her handkerchief as Xiao Yue supported her by the arm.

The lion cat took the lead and deliberately walked quickly. However, Chu Yunshen caught up with her effortlessly and walked beside her. The same went for Xiaowu.
