Lose My Heart to the Lovely Kitten Princess - Chapter 175
Chapter 175 What are you doing here?
If it were any other day, Chu Yunshen would have turned around to dodge her. He would have also punished her severely for this audacity.
For some reason, he did not want to resist. Instead, he let Wan Xia gradually come closer to him.
Wan Xia bent over and came close to Chu Yunshen’s ear before she said softly, “Your Highness, is the lion cat the only thing you want to see?”
Chu Yunshen’s breathing quickened as he inhaled Wan Xia’s fragrance. Even though he was holding his breath, he kept wanting to inhale more.
Wan Xia’s voice sounded mesmerizing and kept tempting Chu Yunshen. He remembered of the young woman dressed in blue whom he had encountered several times. He kept thinking about her warm embrace and sweet melodious singing…
Just thinking about it made his body suddenly feel hot.
Chu Yunshen knew something was definitely wrong, but he couldn’t stop himself.
Wan Xia didn’t get angry when Chu Yunshen refused to answer her. Instead, she beamed even more brightly.
She kept her face beside Chu Yunshen’s ear and even came closer to him.
Her cherry red lips almost brushed past Chu Yunshen’s ear as her breath scattered all over Chu Yunshen’s neck. Even her breath smelled just like her fragrance.
Wan Xia laughed when she saw Chu Yunshen’s gorgeous face blush.
Chu Yunshen found her laughter extremely sweet and couldn’t help feeling attracted to it.
Chu Yunshen couldn’t resist turning to look at Wan Xia as she stood right beside him. The moment he turned his head sideways, he could sense something warm on his cold lips. He took a close look and it was none other than Wan Xia’s soft slender finger.
Wan Xia brushed her index finger over Chu Yunshen’s lips gently before touching his well-chiseled nose.
Chu Yunshen’s deep dark eyes were usually cool and composed. Even without looking closely, it was clear that he was in a daze.
Fortunately, Chu Yunshen knew he had to keep a distance from Wan Xia, so he trembled as he stood up from his seat. He was so giddy that he kept shaking his head. Sadly, he was incapable of managing even to stand up and promptly fell back into his seat.
“Your Highness, where are you going?”
Wan Xia swiftly helped to support Chu Yunshen by the arm and took the opportunity to hold his hand with her soft hand.
Chu Yunshen was stunned by the sudden skin contact, but he shockingly let Wan Xia help him back into the chair.
Wan Xia didn’t come close to his ear to speak anymore. Instead, she held Chu Yunshen’s hand without letting go and made him hold her hand back.
Annoyance swept across Chu Yunshen’s eyes while he watched as they held hands. He instantly wanted to fling her hand aside.
Wan Xia detected the change in Chu Yunshen’s mood, but she said nothing. Instead, she touched Chu Yunshen’s lean gorgeous face with her other hand.
Chu Yunshen could smell her fragrance coming into his nose, spreading throughout his body and refusing to leave.
Chu Yunshen felt as though he was addicted to the fragrance and kept greedily inhaling for more. The more he smelled the fragrance, the more he started to recall what the scent was.
It was the scent of milk.
It smelled a little like the lion cat’s milk paste.
However, it smelled a little sweeter than milk paste and resembled the scent of milk paste lingering on the lion cat.
Since the lion cat slept with her body against Chu Yunshen’s face all the time, he could always smell the lingering scent on her body. The lion cat’s scent was able to help him calm down and fall asleep peacefully.
However, the scent on Wan Xia smelled damp and cold as though it were surrounded by fog.
Could scents get damp too?
Chu Yunshen’s mind had gone blank and it was impossible for him to focus.
“You Highness… Your Highness…”
Who was calling him?
Chu Yunshen could sense his eyelids turning heavy as he instinctively went towards the fragrance even though a voice in his heart kept telling him to stop.
What was going on?
Chu Yunshen seemed like he was in agony and wanted to resist, so Wan Xia covered his mouth and nose with her hand.
Wan Xia tightened her fist loosely and covered Chu Yunshen’s mouth and nose with it so that Chu Yunshen was breathing right into her palm.
Before long, Chu Yunshen felt very confused and didn’t even know what he was doing.
For a moment, a lot of memories were evoked in his mind. He thought about the cat, the girl in blue, and even his incredible dream.
He had almost forgotten about the dream. Why would he suddenly remember it today?
Wan Xia did not dare to cover his mouth and nose for too long and pulled her hand away a few seconds later.
Chu Yunshen was unaccustomed when the warm sweet-smelling fragrance suddenly disappeared.
He turned his head sideways in search of the scent and quickly found it was coming from the woman holding his hand.
Chu Yunshen looked up from the hand and saw the person he had been dying to see all this time.
The girl was dressed in a blue dress and had big round expressive eyes. Now, she was looking at him tenderly as she smiled at him with her lips slightly parted waiting to be kissed.
“It’s you.”
Chu Yunshen’s deep eyes were in a daze and didn’t seem to understand why he could see the person before him.
“Why are you here?” asked Chu Yunshen quickly when the woman did not answer. He looked like a child who wanted candy.
Wan Xia was briefly stunned before she recalled that person telling her this fragrance would make its victims see the people they loved.
She hurriedly supported Chu Yunshen with her other hand and gestured for Chu Yunshen to look at her. “It’s me, Your Highness.”
Chu Yunshen wanted to reach his hands out to touch Wan Xia’s hair, but she embraced him.
“Don’t you want to see me?”
Wan Xia let go of Chu Yunshen. She acted angrily and pushed Chu Yunshen away a little.
“I…” Chu Yunshen was still immersed in her embrace. The woman’s sweet scent made him obsessed and he was no longer able to suppress the thoughts in his head and said, “Yes, I do.”
“I want to see you too, Your Highness.”
Wan Xia smiled sweetly as she gradually bent over and looked at Chu Yunshen with determination. However, her bright beautiful eyes were filled with self-satisfaction as she smiled.
Chu Yunshen’s expressionless face promptly beamed brightly the moment he heard what Wan Xia said. His smile was as beautiful as a warm spring breeze and all his typical coldness was gone.
He reached his hand out and wanted to touch Wan Xia, but he didn’t know where to put his hand, so it hovered in mid-air without moving for a moment.
Wan Xia placed her face in Chu Yunshen’s hand and his head gradually came closer to hers.
Just as they were getting closer and Chu Yunshen’s forehead was about to touch hers, his body tilted sideways.
Chu Yunshen was limp as Wan Xia held him and helped to guide him towards the bed in the inner room…
Meanwhile, inside Wan Xia’s quarters.
Cheng Xiaoxiao wolfed down the milk paste and osmanthus cake. Before long, she had wiped out the milk paste and she was more or less done devouring the osmanthus and green bean cake.
Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t say no when Xiao Yue offered her food and ate a lot of food quickly.
Xiao Yue saw how swiftly the lion cat was eating and could not help feeling worried.
Wan Xia had told Xiao Yue to be good to the lion cat and try not to go against its will. The lion cat was smart and could understand humans. If Xiao Yue did anything wrong, she would end up offending Prince Jing’s cat.
Xiao Yue could not help feeling anxious as she watched the plates in front of the lion cat go increasingly empty.
Hence, Xiao Yue deliberately pretended to serve the lion cat while she ate in the hope of delaying things here.
Xiao Yue felt Wan Xia could have more time with His Highness if she could make the lion cat stay in the kitchen.
However, Xiao Yue had underestimated Cheng Xiaoxiao. Cheng Xiaoxiao ate the food that Xiao Yue fed her, but was also perfectly able to help herself.
Xiao Yue made more mistakes the more anxious she got.
Xiao Yue took some boiled chicken and pulled it into small shreds before handing it to the lion cat bit by bit.
The lion cat wasn’t happy with Xiao Yue’s slow speed, so she patted Xiao Yue on the back of her hand gesturing for her to hurry up.
Xiao Yue acted as though she didn’t notice the lion cat’s gestures and kept feeding Cheng Xiaoxiao at a turtle’s pace. Sometimes, she went into a daze and even forgot to feed Cheng Xiaoxiao altogether.
Cheng Xiaoxiao eventually lost her patience.
Cheng Xiaoxiao reached her paw out altogether. She touched Xiao Yue gently before pointing at the remaining chicken in her hands and reaching for it.
Xiao Yue didn’t give Cheng Xiaoxiao the chicken. Instead, she stood up and held her hand sideways with no intention of letting Cheng Xiaoxiao touch her hand.
Initially, Xiao Yue’s ploy worked when she pretended not to understand Cheng Xiaoxiao and kept pulling the chicken into tiny shreds.
Xiao Yue was very flustered when she did it. Since Cheng Xiaoxiao had her mind entirely on food, she failed to detect Xiao Yue’s anxiety.
When the cat kept gesturing for Xiao Yue to hurry and even decided to help herself to the food, Xiao Yue didn’t know what to do.
Xiao Yue was unable to come up with a good strategy, so she ended up holding the chicken away from the lion cat altogether in a blur.
Xiao Yue looked at the lion cat. Sure enough, she ignored Xiao Yue and continued eating on her own. It was clearer that Xiao Yue had officially pissed off the lion cat.
Cheng Xiaoxiao did not see this coming either. The moment Xiao Yue pulled her hand away, Cheng Xiaoxiao was dumbstruck.
What was wrong with Xiao Yue?
If Xiao Yue ignored Cheng Xiaoxiao completely, it was fine for Cheng Xiaoxiao.
She now knew she didn’t have to worry about fishbone since she had powerful jaws. Even though using her paws was more troublesome than using her hands, things always worked out.
Cheng Xiaoxiao was naturally happy Xiao Yue could help her with the food, but Cheng Xiaoxiao was annoyed when Xiao Yue didn’t want to give it to her.
What was the meaning of this?
Was she playing with her? Did Xiao Yue think she was really a cat and wanted to make her obey using food?
Unfortunately, Cheng Xiaoxiao wasn’t a real cat. If Xiao Yue didn’t want to give her the food, she couldn’t care less.
