Xiaowu and the others spat blood onto their swords one after another. After they sprayed their swords evenly with blood, it made them look even more threatening.

Although they were giddy from the fog, they used their instincts and waved their swords, and refused to give up.

Xiaowu and the others quickly learned what the blood was capable of doing.

Uncle Gen’s creatures kept attacking without dodging. It seemed as though they were not afraid of getting attacked.

The moment Xiaowu’s blood-stained sword touched the creatures, they fell onto the ground and died regardless of whether they were hurt.

Before long, there was a heap of bodies lying on the ground.

Xiaowu and the others fought even more bravely. Chu Yunshen seemed the least affected of the lot, but only Cheng Xiaoxiao knew how tightly he was holding her and how tense his body was.

“Your Highness, please use my blood!”

Chu Yunshen had been protecting Zhong Ming the whole time. Also, Zhong Ming was very good at evading blows, so those creatures didn’t attack him much.

Chu Yunshen had to protect the cat in his arms along with Zhong Ming, so Zhong Ming couldn’t help feeling bad about it. He decided to swallow the pain and offer the blood from his tongue to Chu Yunshen.

“You overestimate yourself!” Uncle Gen heard Zhong Ming’s offer, but he didn’t care about what Chu Yunshen and his men were doing.

In his perspective, there was no escape for Chu Yunshen and the others. He would be able to subdue them effortlessly.

It seemed as though Uncle Gen was just messing with them and deliberately torturing Chu Yunshen and the others.

“Allow me to introduce my super zombies!” Uncle Gen looked awfully proud when he talked about these creatures. “I buried them in the Seven Star Yin Formation. Now that they have been nourished by the spirit of the dead, their bodies will not decay. Also, they will transform into super zombies.”

Uncle Gen kept talking smugly when he talked about his great work. He laughed loudly before he continued, “Count yourselves lucky that you can get to have such an eye-opener and see my super zombies first-hand.”

“After they absorb your Yin energy, they will transform into ultra zombies. You would have served Wu well. Don’t you think it’s your honor?”

Uncle Gen deliberately summoned a super zombie back and touched his head lovingly before sending him back out to fight.

Chu Yunshen and the others wanted to speak, but it was simply too hard. Xiaowu glared at Uncle Gen so murderously that his eyes nearly popped from their sockets.

Chu Yunshen’s eye white was slightly blue and bloodshot.

Even though they were incapable of scolding Uncle Gen, Cheng Xiaoxiao certainly could!

“Meow meow!”

That pervert!

Cheng Xiaoxiao’s lungs nearly exploded in anger when she heard what Uncle Gen said.

She had spent the past few days watching Chu Yunshen read the case files. Judging from the thickness of the files, it was clear that a lot of people had gone missing.

However, Uncle Gen stood here nonchalantly as he bragged about his work. Cheng Xiaoxiao instantly felt like vomiting.

Anger kept boiling from her belly and coursing throughout her body.

If she was not in Chu Yunshen’s arms, she would probably scratch Uncle Gen with her claws altogether.

Even though the super zombies kept dropping dead, Uncle Gen simply stood on the other end of the house as he watched Chu Yunshen and his men fight.

“Enough. It is useless to go against them!”

Uncle Gen looked at them teasingly before he yawned in boredom.

He started making a completely different sign and Cheng Xiaoxiao promptly saw dense fog coming out from the house.

It was the cold wind from earlier!

The cold wind wasn’t as cautious as before. Instead of testing its opponents, it immediately attacked Xiaowu and the others openly and came flying towards them.

Chu Yunshen and the others were highly skilled martial artists, so they managed to dodge the wind just in time. However, Zhong Ming was incapable of doing the same and could only quietly stand where he was as he waited for the wind to strike him.

Chu Yunshen, Xiaowu, and the other secret guards, including Zhong Ming, added up to a total of seven people.

However, it did not necessarily mean they were capable of escaping the mysterious wind!

To their astonishment, Chu Yunshen and the others were incapable of fighting back and had fallen for Uncle Gen’s ruse.

They had unknowingly formed the Seven Star Yin Formation that Uncle Gen was talking about.

Also, Zhong Ming was completely oblivious of this since it was out of his scope of knowledge.

Other than Cheng Xiaoxiao, the rest of the people didn’t quite know what was going when they entered the house.

Cheng Xiaoxiao finally realized what was going on when she saw Uncle Gen’s hand movements. Uncle Gen was the one who had set up the trap and waited for them to fall for it.

It felt as though an invisible force was controlling Chu Yunshen and the others.

Everyone turned to face the circle at the center of the room.

They lowered their heads with their mouths open as their life energy was sucked into the center of the room.

Xiaowu and the others were in a daze as they closed their eyes and stood at the heart of the Seven Star Yin Formation.

The swords in their hands had already fallen to the ground.

The wind was becoming increasingly strong, but Chu Yunshen wanted to fight back with the cat in his arms. However, his eyes gradually became blurry and his mind went blank.

He felt groggy and it seemed as though he was dreaming. In his dream, he could see the girl singing as well as a talking lion cat.

“Meow!”

Cheng Xiaoxiao watched as Chu Yunshen threw her on the ground before he slowly headed to the center of the room mechanically.

Chu Yunshen looked calm as usual, but Cheng Xiaoxiao could see him struggle in his eyes.

The hesitance lasted only briefly before Chu Yunshen lost all expression.

What was going on?

Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to look at Xiaowu. Xiaowu was standing in a daze and his lips were starting to turn pale, but he continued opening his mouth wide.

Tingzhu and Nongying were the same.

Cheng Xiaoxiao was unable to wake them up or make them budge even after she bit and tugged them.

“Get out of the way, you stupid cat!”

Uncle Gen kicked Cheng Xiaoxiao to the corner of the house as he cursed, “Stupid animal! You were sent to assassinate Prince Jing. How could you betray the Prince of Wu?”

“Meow…”

Cheng Xiaoxiao meowed excruciatingly when Uncle Gen kicked her. Uncle Gen had kicked her right in the belly, so her organs were in agony and it felt as though she was about to fall apart.

Cheng Xiaoxiao didn’t dare to breathe hard even and could only inhale gently. Even then, she was in so much pain that she nearly passed out.

The moment she heard what Uncle Gen said, she struggled to stand up.

Thanks to Uncle Gen’s reminder, she suddenly remembered something.

No wonder she found this smell so familiar!

The Prince of Wu was the one behind these zombies!

The first time Chu Yunshen saved her, they encountered zombies as well.

In hindsight, Cheng Xiaoxiao realized she had gone through a lot with Chu Yunshen. So many things had happened ever since she transmigrated that she forgot about the missing person’s case.

Uncle Gen suddenly exclaimed in shock as he kept his eye on his victims’ condition.

Cheng Xiaoxiao halted in her steps and held her breath she carefully listened to Uncle Gen.

Uncle Gen was muttering to himself. Cheng Xiaoxiao heard something about the Seven Star Yin Formation. “When their life force gets absorbed by the Seven Star Yin Formation, they will start to die. Anyone who stands at the center of the formation can become stronger. Why is…”

This old man was simply evil.

Judging from what he said, he wanted to use the Seven Star Yin Formation to absorb seven people’s life force and transfer it to make himself stronger.

Wasn’t the formation intended for turning the super zombies into ultra zombies? Why was he talking about strengthening his body?

“In the past, it took a lot of dead bodies for the men to change into super zombies. After absorbing this life energy today, the super zombies are shockingly showing signs of becoming ultra zombies. The gods must be on my side!”

Cheng Xiaoxiao turned to look at Chu Yunshen and the others once more and felt there was no time to sit around analyzing the situation!

He was using the formation to steal their life force. If she did not act quickly, Chu Yunshen and the others would become dried corpses in no time!
