Wang Er and Li Erfa mentioned they only started working for Uncle Gen in the beginning of this year. However, most of the cases Di Yangze and Xiaowu had consolidated consisted of cases that took place over a year ago.

Xiaowu felt bad about getting too emotional when Wang Er went into the details of how he murdered the man and failed to connect the dots. He ended up overlooking such a fundamental problem.

Xiaowu awkwardly placed the testament on the table and tried to change the subject and asked Li Erfa, “Oh yes. Why are you so afraid of Uncle Gen?”

“In that case, I will bring you along!” said Chu Yunshen deeply in a soft tone by her ear with his head lowered.

Xiaowu didn’t know what to say.

Xiaowu thought the lion cat had already lost favor, but Chu Yunshen unexpectedly still cared about her. Even though he was in a hurry to get on with the investigation, Chu Yunshen brought her along.

Since Chu Yunshen’s robe was ruined by the cat, he could no longer wear it.

“Master, let me get you a fresh robe,” said Xiaowu as he secretly glared at the lion cat in Chu Yunshen’s arms while she looked back at him provokingly.

After all the delay, they were finally ready to head to the justice department when Butler Liu walked in and said to Chu Yunshen, “Your Highness, a guard from the justice department is here to see you.”

“Didn’t we say the interrogation will continue today? What is he doing here?” Xiaowu helped Chu Yunshen to straighten his robes as he looked at Chu Yunshen quickly.
