Indestructible God King - Chapter 127.1
Chapter 127.1 Don’t You Bring Money When Going Out? (2/2)
“Tsssss… There’s a tunnel here? They came out from this tunnel? They actually fell into my trap right away? Why would they do that?” Wang Ke was at a loss.
“How could I know? Damn, I’m totally lost!” Zhang Zhengdao was also confused.
The two exchanged blank looks.
This is too freaky; eleven demons appeared from deep underground?
“What do you think? Aren’t Murong Luguang and Mo Sanshan too useless? Tong An’an and his men are obviously stupid; how could they lose them? We just randomly dug a hole and they jumped right in!” Wang Ke said in amazement.
“I know, right!” Zhang Zhengdao nodded in agreement.
“Wang Ke, what should we do now? Eh, what are you doing? They’re passed out; why are you taking their clothes off?” Zhang Zhengdao was astonished.
“Let me see if they have anything of value on them!” Wang Ke replied.
“Ahh, Wang Ke, don’t you dare snatch my stuff! We had a deal, I get half! I’ve been electrocuted for such a long time!” Zhang Zhengdao jumped over in excitement.
The two of them searched Tong An’an and his men.
“Hell, their robes are all burnt from the electricity. They only have a hundred pounds of spirit stones in total? Aren’t they all Golden Core cultivators? Why!” Zhang Zhengdao wailed in despair.
I got electrocuted for so long and only earned fifty pounds of spirit stones from that? What a lousy trade!
“At least you earned something. It’s not that bad! Why don’t you give me your half then?” Wang Ke stretched out his palm.
“You must be joking! This is mine!” Zhang Zhengdao immediately pocketed his share of spirit stones.
“Wang Ke, what took you so long? I shouted and shouted, couldn’t you hear me? Do you know how much I suffered here?” Zhang Zhengdao complained angrily.
“You can’t blame me, it’s all his fault!” Wang Ke pointed at the blanket bundle that fell off the bed from the flipped ceiling.
“The blanket? Hmm? Something’s inside?” Zhang Zhengdao walked up and inspected it.
He flipped open the blanket and looked inside.
Zhang Shenxu rolled out from the blanket, still unconscious.
Zhang Zhengdao hissed, “Wang Ke, you really smothered him with the blanket? I was just joking… You actually went and did it?”
“He’s merely out of it; he’ll wake up soon. But above us…!” Wang Ke told the former about the situation.
Zhang Zhengdao looked seriously worried once he heard it all.
“You mean there’s a huge group of Golden Crow Sect disciples guarding outside this place?” Zhang Zhengdao asked fearfully.
Wang Ke nodded.
“What are we waiting for then? Let’s use Tong An’an’s tunnel to escape!” Zhang Zhengdao urged.
“We can’t!” Wang Ke shook his head.
“Why?”
“We could surely leave if it were anywhere else. But we are at Gongyi Teahouse right now. My subordinates will get in trouble if we run!” Wang Ke answered with a frown.
“Wang Ke, desperate times call for desperate measures; why do you still care so much?” Zhang Zhengdao continued.
But Wang Ke shook his head and said, “We must distract those guys! My subordinates are human too! They follow me for a living!”
“But…!”
Wang Ke devised a plan. “We have Zhang Shenxu in our hands now. We can use him as a hostage and demand his juniors to leave town; then we can bail!”
“But this is too dangerous!” Zhang Zhengdao warned him.
“That’s why we need to go up there and act together!” said Wang Ke as he looked at Zhang Zhengdao.
“No way! I’m not gonna follow you to the grave!” Zhang Zhengdao raged.
“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine with me around! Let’s talk things out. We need to show our sincerity; I think they’ll understand us!” said Wang Ke while looking serious about it.
“No way. I’ll use this tunnel to escape!” Zhang Zhengdao objected angrily.
“Have you thought about who may be waiting on the other end of the tunnel? Won’t there be more of Tong An’an’s demon cohorts?” Wang Ke asked.
“Uhh?” Zhang Zhengdao was stunned by the question.
“We need to act fast and resolve the issue upstairs as quickly as possible… What if Tong An’an’s demons come from the tunnel to reinforce him?” Wang Ke questioned further.
“Tsss~~~~~~~~!” Zhang Zhengdao sucked in a mouthful of cold air through his teeth.
Damn! What to do? My way out’s been blocked off!
“Don’t worry. Follow me and everything will be fine. We’ll be able to leave!’ said Wang Ke to reassure him.
“I want half of whatever is on Zhang Shenxu then!” Zhang Zhengdao compromised.
“Sure!” Wang Ke nodded.
The two then frisked Zhang Shenxu for goods.
“Damn. He’s not carrying any money? Not even a storage bangle or a bag!” Zhang Zhengdao cursed after he found nothing.
All of Zhang Shenxu’s items had been stored inside his white folding fan, which would automatically activate its protection settings and enter his body. That was why they couldn’t find anything. Zhang Zhengdao’s searching efforts went down the drain.
After tidying up his charred attire, Zhang Zhengdao returned to the bedroom above with Wang Ke, still complaining angrily.
“Wang Ke, let me say it clearly. Don’t blame me for leaving you behind if you can’t settle things out there!” Zhang Zhengdao said angrily.
“You won’t have someone to help you make money in the future then!” Wang Ke was unfazed by those threats.
“Damn you!” Zhang Zhengdao was so frustrated he vomited blood.
I can’t just leave him alone then?
Wang Ke took a deep breath, walked to the door and opened it forcefully.
Wang Ke was dumbstruck after swinging the door open.
Zhang Zhengdao walked up to him and was similarly stunned. “Wang Ke, didn’t you say that a group of Golden Crow Sect disciples was waiting outside? And cranes were circling in the sky? Where are they?” he asked.
Where did they go?
There’s not even one!
This is so freaking weird!
“I… I don’t know either!” Wang Ke said, looking perplexed.
Such a freak night! So many Golden Crow Sect disciples just disappeared all of a sudden? How could this happen?
“Why don’t you call your subordinates and ask them?” Zhang Zhengdao suggested.
Just when Wang Ke was about to nod—light steps sounded in the courtyard.
“No need to ask; they’re all asleep. All of them!” A very hoarse voice accompanied the footsteps.
Wang Ke and Zhang Zhengdao stood immediately on guard.
Then they saw a figure wrapped in a black robe walking out from the shadows. His voice was too hoarse to be recognizable; the person looked mysterious and shady.
“And now, it’s your turn!” the hoarse voice said with a chilling tone.
The man in black is going to attack?
“Hall Lord Mo, what brings you here so late in the night?” Zhang Zhengdao asked, truly astonished.
The black-robed man stopped in his tracks. Impossible! I changed my voice and concealed my aura. How did Zhang Zhengdao recognize me?
“Yeah, Hall Lord Mo? Did you help me deal with the Golden Crow Sect disciples? Thank you so much! Whatever happened in the past must have been a misunderstanding on my part!” Wang Ke said gratefully.
I was still trying to come up with a plan to deal with the Golden Crow Sect disciples! How fortunate. The threat is no more… Thank goodness.
Mo Sanshan stood there rooted to the ground.
“Why? Why do you think I’m Mo Sanshan? Is it my voice? Or my smell? I’m completely different. Why do you think I’m Mo Sanshan?” Mo Sanshan asked in frustration, still hiding in his black robe.
“Because of your shoes!” Zhang Zhengdao said.
“Yeah! Your shoes. Didn’t you wear them during God Wang Company’s opening ceremony? I remember you stepped on bird poop with your left foot!” Wang Ke explained.
Mo Sanshan stood there, dumbfounded, as he looked down at the exposed shoes.
Damn, you two are nuts! Why the hell would you stare at my shoes!
