Indestructible God King - Chapter 119.2
Chapter 119.2 Case Solved! (2/2)
“Then what should we do?”
“It’s all right; the two spots are not too far apart. Let’s head to the nearest spot first. Follow me; it’s in the valley right in front of us!” Tong An’an immediately headed towards Wang Ke’s trap with his men.
“Chapter Lord, over there! Look! The two of them are standing there!” said one of the bald minions with excitement.
“Quick, surround them! Hahaha!” Tong An’an laughed.
“Boooom!”
The group of eleven encircled the two scarecrows as fast as they could.
Just when they were about to draw weapons—they realized that the pair standing before them were strawmen. Their faces froze.
“What… What’s this?’
“Scarecrows? Why? This one is wearing Wang Ke’s clothes?”
The baldies stared with saucer-like eyes, feeling confused. This is too freaking weird. Who would make two scarecrows in a wilderness like this? Most importantly, there are no fields to protect here. What’s happening?
“Oh no, they’re onto us. Wang Ke must have noticed us tracking him; he wouldn’t have made a decoy otherwise! It’s an ambush!” one of the bald men cried out in fear.
“Whoosh!”
The group of people watched their surroundings warily—
But other than startled birds that flew away, there was no one else except for some cranes flying, which was a usual occurrence in recent days.
“Hmm, false alarm?” Tong An’an muttered doubtfully.
“Chapter Lord, I don’t understand. What’s the meaning of these scarecrows? Did Wang Ke discover us?” said one of the perplexed baldies.
“There’s a piece of paper on the scarecrow wearing Wang Ke’s outfit!” said Tong An’an once he noticed some details.
“To my underwear-thief: You shall die a miserable death!”
The group of demons looked at the words on the paper and fell silent for quite a while.
He must be crazy! Who would steal your underwear!
“Chapter Lord, we can’t make heads or tails of this. What does Wang Ke mean? Is there a hidden message?” said a bald man in a daze.
“We must not underestimate Wang Ke. This must have some other meaning; he surely wants to harm us! There must be some trap!” Tong An’an said.
“But what trap could be related to those words?” another baldie said, feeling lost.
Yeah. What kind of trap could there be?
Since they weren’t underwear thieves as Wang Ke guessed, they didn’t fall into Wang Ke’s scheme based on Sun Zi’s Art of War. Their hands weren’t itching to tear down the strip of paper; they only looked at those words in confusion.
“Wang Ke managed to capture me several times. He also made a name for himself in both the righteous and the demonic factions; it’s impossible for him to act without reason. There must be a deeper meaning behind this. Hold on, let me sniff a bit more to see if there are more clues!” Tong An’an walked up to the scarecrow.
“Sniff, sniff! Sniff, sniff!”
Tong An’an activated the Dog Nose to the fullest, wanting to find out what Wang Ke’s trap was.
“Chapter Lord, why don’t we take it apart and see what’s inside?” a bald man walked over.
Tong An’an stopped his subordinate and said with worry, “Hold on! There may be a trap inside!”
“Chapter Lord, don’t worry. I will be careful; I won’t use my hands!” that bald man said.
He pierced the scarecrow with his long sword as he spoke.
“Piak!”
Something burst like a balloon, and then a stream of golden gas began to leak out.
“Sniff, sniff!” Tong An’an turned the Dog Nose to full power—
His nose instantly sucked in the golden gas.
The turbid essence Qi was already smelly as it was; the Dog Nose magnified the odor a hundred or even a thousand fold.
“Booooooom!”
Tong An’an instantly felt that his world was collapsing over him; his entire soul was about to shatter. He instantly felt teleported to the worst of hells because of the artifact’s magnifying power; it was like falling into a cold, bottomless abyss which froze his soul. The stench inundated him like a tsunami.
“Help! Ghaaaarghhh!”
Tong An’an could only cry out those words before he rolled his eyes and fainted. Foam welled up in his mouth.
“There’s poisonous gas inside the scarecrow!”
“We fell for Wang Ke’s trap!”
“Wang Ke is trying to kill us!”
“It’s a trap!”
“Chapter Lord!” The bald men rushed over to Tong An’an’s aid.
“Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!”
The fainted Tong An’an was convulsing as he vomited foam.
His men carried him and ran.
One bald man was furious that he actually fell for the trap. He kicked the scarecrow right on the strip of paper; the firestone quickly lit up the scarecrow the next moment.
“Booooooom!”
The remaining turbid essence Qi inside the scarecrow burst into flames; both scarecrows were immediately enveloped by a huge flame.
None of the bald men cared about the burning scarecrows after their boss fainted; they simply left.
But then, the burning scarecrows caught the eye of the cranes encircling the sky.
Those birds were ordered not to return unless they found Wang Ke. Zhang Shenxu had warned them about Wang Ke’s disguising skills, so they had to be thorough and investigate anything unusual, all to find potential clues.
A fire had just gone off; they had to take a look.
“Squeaaak! Squeak! Squeak!” ………………………..
Some cranes swooped down to check the valley where the fire was.
Wang Ke and Zhang Zhengdao—hiding a dozen mountains away—had a glimpse of the whole thing.
“Seems like a group of men in black went for our strawmen,“ said Zhang Zhengdao.
“Men in black? Ahh, they tore down the strip of paper. It’s burning now. Hmm? That’s not right. Why is the fire so weak? I made sure to inject enough turbid essence Qi; not enough to kill the pervert, but enough to frighten him. Why did the flame become smaller than expected? So strange!” Wang Ke felt puzzled.
“The men in black are going to flee! They’re covered in black; we can’t recognize them!” said Zhang Zhengdao anxiously.
And Wang Ke’s face looked worried. “It’s not just one damned pervert, but a whole bunch of them?”
“Wang Ke, your plan isn’t working; we wasted two sets of clothing and we still don’t know who they are!” Zhang Zhengdao said with a frown.
And at that moment—cranes swooped down toward the fire and began searching the vicinity, as though looking for someone.
“Quick, hide! The cranes from the Golden Crow Sect! They’re searching for us!” Zhang Zhengdao urged nervously.
“Cranes? Cranes? The Golden Crow Sect? Ohh, I understand it now. I know who my underwear thief is!” Wang Ke said with a conflicted look.
“Who?” Zhang Zhengdao asked with surprise.
“Zhang Li’er. It must be her. She would not have seduced me back in God Wang Tower if she didn’t have such a fetish! It must be her. Case solved! It’s Zhang Li’er!” Wang Ke declared.
Zhang Zhengdao was astonished by Wang Ke. You are damn shameless; the gall to say this…
Zhang Li’er is indeed a beautiful woman; even if she’s bad-tempered, she’s one of the most beautiful women in the Ten-thousand Great Mountains! And yet you’re accusing her of stealing your underwear? And she kept on doing it inside the Heavenly Wolf Sect for more than half a year? Where is your logic!
“Wang Ke, how thick-skinned can you be to say this?” Zhang Zhengdao said, feeling suffocated.
“How am I thick-skinned? You know nothing! It must be her! She asked some disciples from our sect to steal for her. Otherwise we can’t explain the things that have happened so far! I’m still trying to safeguard my virginity for Youyue; but this Zhang Li’er has bad intentions and is tried to take advantage of me! It turned out to be true in the end. It’s really beyond defendable when a woman plays mind tricks! How could I ever think she had such a perverted mindset?” said Wang Ke, horrified.
Zhang Zhengdao looked at Wang Ke without breathing. His skin is too thick! Not even a flying sword can pierce through!
