Indestructible God King - Chapter 102.2
Chapter 102.2 I Won It While Playing Mahjong (2/2)
All those near the pit simply gazed at Wang Ke for a while. How could any of them believe it?
Are you trying to bluff? Empty, cold, and lonely?
“What is Mahjong?” Chen Tianyuan asked.
“Fortunately, I have one more set of Mahjong with me. It’s like this…!” Wang Ke took out the set and explained the rules.
Chen Tianyuan: “……………….!”
Murong Luguang: “……………………………..!
Tie Liuyun: “……………………!”
Do you mean to say that the ultimate demon really feels empty, cold, and lonely, and then he kept a bunch of people to play Mahjong with him? Take a wild guess! Do you think we’d believe you!?
“Wang Ke, did the fall crack your head?” Murong Luguang asked in disbelief.
“Eldest apprentice-brother, that’s uncalled for. Why did you suddenly insult me?” Wang Ke stared at him.
“I’m pretty sure you’re not telling us the truth. You chatted with the ultimate demon? What did you two talk about? What could you chat about to make the ultimate demon release you?” Murong Luguang asked in disbelief.
“Uhh, other than chatting, we played Mahjong! Maybe he took me to be a good person, so he let me go!” Wang Ke explained.
Murong Luguang: “…………………….!”
You played Mahjong with the ultimate demon? Damn, this is getting more and more ridiculous.
“That’s enough for the day. Wang Ke, you should head back and have some rest!” Chen Tianyuan said.
“Oh? Okay!” Wang Ke nodded.
And so, everyone watched as Wang Ke stepped out of the cave. Of course, Zhang Zhengdao followed right behind him.
Chen Tianyuan, Murong Luguang, and Tie Liuyun turned their eyes to the pit.
“Sect Lord,” Murong Luguang asked with an annoyed tone, “Wang Ke has to be bullsh*ting! Playing Mahjong with the ultimate demon? And for that creature to deem him a good person and send him on his way? All of it while Bai Jin and his fellow rebels stayed down there to continue playing… How is that possible! How could we believe this? Aren’t you going to question him further?”
“Forget it. Wang Ke must have been hit too badly by his break-up! And so…!” Chen Tianyuan said as he shook his head.
“Yeah, Eldest apprentice-brother, junior brother Wang Ke and his girlfriend were torn apart just recently. You should know that! Why are you trying to make things more difficult for him?” Tie Liuyun said with an indignant frown.
“I’m making things difficult for him?” Murong Luguang stared back.
“Aren’t you?” Tie Liuyun insisted, “Junior brother Wang Ke has been through so much pain already; aren’t you making things harder for him? He had to drag the demons to the pit alongside him in order to save me. What else do you want to accuse him of? What wrong has he done? Our junior brother climbed up from down there, and I do agree this is rather strange. But, so what? Why should junior brother Wang Ke tell you all his secrets? Are you willing to make all your private matters public? Doesn’t everyone have their own little secrets?”
“Is this a little secret?” Murong Luguang asked back with a stare.
“Why not? Oh, so you’re saying, if you have a secret escape spell, will you share it with everyone? Eldest apprentice-brother, you mustn’t hold a grudge against Wang Ke just because Princess Youyue rejected you! Take my advice, don’t be such a mean person!” Tie Liuyun fired back relentlessly.
“You! You are the one being mean! You think I hold a grudge against Wang Ke because of Princess Youyue?” Murong Luguang was furious.
“The entire sect knows about this. Do you have to be this angry?” Tie Liuyun said disdainfully.
“Enough! Stop your useless chattering!” Chen Tianyuan reprimanded them.
Everyone zipped their mouths.
“What Bai Jin did this time helped me realize that our sect is not as safe as it seems!” said Chen Tianyuan as he glanced at a few West Wolf Hall disciples.
They answered with bitter-looking faces, “Please forgive us, Sect Lord. We didn’t expect this!”
“You didn’t expect this?” Chen Tianyuan chided, “Humph. West Wolf Hall is responsible for screening the entire Ten-thousand Great Mountains and all disciples within our sect. You have a huge responsibility, yet undercover demons were found among your ranks, one after the other. Do you think it’s enough of an excuse to just say that you didn’t expect it?”
“Please forgive our wrongdoings, Sect Lord!” All the West Wolf Hall disciples pleaded, half knelt.
“If even the West Wolf Hall is infiltrated by demons, how do you expect me, the Sect Lord, to forgive your wrongdoings?” Chen Tianyuan said coldly, “From now on, inspect every disciple thoroughly, including your West Wolf Hall members. Examine each and every one of our disciples. At the same time, get the West Wolf Hall Lord to come back immediately. Humph. For his own turf to be in such a mess, yet he wants to head outside! How can we eradicate the demons on the outside when the inside is infiltrated?”
The West Wolf Hall disciples responded, “Understood!”
Chen Tianyuan continued, “Murong Luguang, the East Wolf Hall is in-charge of campaigns and protection. Tong An’an escaped this time around, all because the disciples guarding the sect’s gate were lazy and careless. How do you plan on settling this?”
“Understood, I apologize for my negligence. I will surely discipline the guards!” Murong Luguang answered with a pained look.
“Also, you are in charge of pursuing Tong An’an! Make up for your own negligence!” Chen Tianyuan added.
“Understood!” Murong Luguang acknowledged.
Chen Tianyuan looked at Tie Liuyun and asked, “Tie Liuyun, has the South Wolf Hall Lord not returned yet? Then the Dragon Gate Assembly this time round…”
“Sect Lord, don’t worry. I can settle the Dragon Gate Assembly! I will heal up my injuries in a few days and will surely bring back disciples of quality and talent to our sect!” Tie Liuyun said respectfully.
“Good!” Chen Tianyuan nodded.
—————–
Sword-study Peak.
Wang Ke returned to his abode with frustration.
“I told them the truth… I really played Mahjong with that ultimate demon. Why don’t they believe me?” Wang Ke was reluctant to admit defeat.
“Wang Ke, stop bluffing! Even I don’t believe what you said, yet you expect them to believe you?” Zhang Zhengdao said in disdain.
“Damn it. Who said I’m bluffing?” Wang Ke cursed at him with a stare.
“Oh yes, what about your God Wang Company? What if someone poses as you and does things in your company’s name when it succeeds?” Zhang Zhengdao asked.
“I asked my Revered Teacher about it. The Dao Jade can help me with this problem; no one will be able to imitate me after I make an official seal,” Wang Ke explained.
“Dao Jade? Keep bluffing! This is something I’ve only heard of but never seen; where are you going to find one?” Zhang Zhengdao gasped in disbelief.
“No big deal. I got one from the ultimate demon while playing Mahjong with him!” Wang Ke said as he took out a stone glimmering in red.
Zhang Zhengdao gazed at the Dao Jade with a gaping mouth; he snatched it over and started checking it out.
Wang Ke snatched it back from him and said, “I thought you hadn’t seen one before? What are you looking at then?”
“It’s the real deal. How can it be real?” Zhang Zhengdao could not believe his own eyes.
“You are full of lies, you know! You just told me you had not seen one before, and now you say you recognize this?” Wang Ke said in astonishment.
“Where did you get it? Where!” Zhang Zhengdao hopped with excitement.
“Didn’t I tell you already?” Wang Ke stared at him while storing the Dao Jade.
“You won it while playing Mahjong? Wang Ke, stop messing around! How can you win this while playing Mahjong? And you won it from that ultimate demon? It’s impossible!” Zhang Zhengdao complained.
