Indestructible God King - Chapter 102.1
Chapter 102.1 I Won It While Playing Mahjong (1/2)
“Wang Ke, uhh no, Deputy Hall Lord Wang. Uhh no, Divine Dragon Branch Lord! We want to be your disciples! Please bring us along with you! Divine Dragon Branch Lord, Branch lord!”
Bai Jin and his men watched as the bone pillar sent Wang Ke up. Their faces were struck with fear.
Damn it. Why, why! We fell down together… How is it that you gained freedom while we’re stuck here waiting to be eaten?
The group pleaded, but Wang Ke would not budge. You guys were about to eat me just now, and you expect me to repay evil with kindness? Do you think I’m nuts?
Wang Ke left, leaving the group of demons paralyzed by despair.
“Tong An’an, it’s all your fault!” Bai Jin and his men had no more tears to cry.
They were living such a carefree life working undercover; no one knew about them, and they could leave the Heavenly Wolf Sect any time they wanted. Alas, they would be trapped there forever; all because of helping Tong An’an deal with Wang Ke.
Why are we so unfortunate!
——————-
The spiritual mountain sealing power was too terrifying; the skeleton monster did his best to send Wang Ke up, but he failed by just a little. Wang Ke stopped himself from falling back by pinning flying swords on the cave wall when the bone pillar crumbled.
Even so, he could still sense the horrifying suppressing force pulling him back down when he reached such a height.
“Oh no, I can’t hold on for much longer. Didn’t you say you would send me all the way up? I still need to go a little higher!” Wang Ke muttered anxiously.
At that moment—Wang Ke seemed to hear a voice coming from above.
“Junior brother, it’s all my fault. I should have listened to you, and you would not have died! I’m so sorry! Sniff, sniff!”
“Second senior brother, please don’t cry. The dead cannot rise again. My condolences; junior brother Wang Ke will surely forgive you!”
“No! I can’t forgive myself; it’s all because of me!”
……………………
………………
…………
Wang Ke’s eyes glistened with hope upon hearing those voices.
“Hey! Pull me up! Quick, pull me up!” Wang Ke shouted in pleasant surprise.
My hands cannot hold on any longer. Can you hear my voice?
A pity, though—Wang Ke’s voice also seemed to be suppressed somehow. His second senior apprentice couldn’t hear him.
Suddenly, the flying swords broke free from the cave walls, and Wang Ke was about to fall.
“No way!” Despair was written all over Wang Ke’s face.
The skeleton monster can’t send me all the way up! Will I fall back down? To play Mahjong with him all day, every day? No way!
“Piak!”
A hand suddenly appeared and grabbed Wang Ke by the wrist.
The hand pulled Wang Ke out of the pit while the latter was still in shock.
“Revered Teacher, it’s you!” Wang Ke was elated.
Chen Tianyuan saw Wang Ke and pulled him back up at such a crucial moment.
“Wang Ke, how did you manage to come up?” Chen Tianyuan looked at him, wide eyed with disbelief.
No one had ever climbed back up from that place; not even Astral Infant cultivators could do that! Or else that ultimate demon would have made it back up.
Still, Wang Ke made it back up! That shouldn’t be happening!
“Junior brother Wang Ke, you’re still alive! Thank goodness!” The injured Tie Liuyun jumped toward him, exhilarated. He grabbed Wang Ke by the hands.
Wang Ke looked around him and realized they were surrounded by a huge crowd of Heavenly Wolf Sect disciples, including Murong Luguang and many other unfamiliar faces.
“Wang Ke, I knew it! Good people die young, while troublemakers live a thousand years. I was sure that you would be okay!” Zhang Zhengdao said happily.
Wang Ke rolled his eyes at him. You are the troublemaker!
“Revered Teacher, why are all of you here? Where is Tong An’an?” Wang Ke looked at Chen Tianyuan and asked.
The Sect Lord frowned a little while Murong Luguang and Tie Liuyun’s faces turned black.
The latter explained bitterly, “Just now, Bai Jin and his men blocked the entrance to this dungeon. That is why the noises and light didn’t reach the people posted outside. But the battle between Tong An’an and I caused the entire place to shake, which drew the attention of other West Wolf Hall disciples; some of them came to investigate, but there was a demon undercover guarding the cave outside. Seeing that others were on their way to check the situation, he opened the cave immediately and called for Tong An’an to escape. I wasn’t willing to let Tong An’an go, though. In the end, he and that undercover guy detonated a huge number of enchanted artifacts. We were all badly injured, and I could no longer move back then because I bore much of the explosion; they took that chance and escaped!”
“Escaped? They are in the Heavenly Wolf Sect; how did they manage to run?” Wang Ke asked with a frown.
Murong Luguang continued with a black face, “It was a blunder of mine. I heard the noises and came here in a rush while forgetting to lock down our sect’s gate. Those guarding the gate saw the mole, but no one suspected him because they knew him as a West Wolf Hall disciple, nor did they check the box he took out of the sect. I’m pretty sure Tong An’an was inside the box!”
Although Murong Luguang didn’t need to guard the sect’s gate personally, he was still in charge of assigning disciples as guards. They had made such a careless mistake just then.
“Tong An’an… Made it out?” Wang Ke frowned.
Everyone felt helpless.
“Murong Luguang sent people after him; they will report back immediately when they find him. Wang Ke, how did you get back up from down there? Where are Bai Jin and the rest?” Chen Tianyuan frowned in confusion.
“Yeah, Wang Ke, didn’t you see that ultimate demon? Could the seal be weakening?” Tie Liuyun was also a little lost.
“I saw!” Wang Ke nodded.
“Hmm?” Everyone waited for Wang Ke to continue.
“What did you see?” Murong Luguang asked.
“I saw the ultimate demon locked down there! I chatted with him, and he promised to send me back up. So, he sent me up!” Wang Ke explained.
Chen Tianyuan: “……………….!”
Murong Luguang: “…………………!”
Tie Liuyun: “……………………!”
Make a guess! Do you think we’d believe you? You chatted with him for a while, and then he sent you back up? You and your flights of fancy! So many people have fallen down for years; none made it back up alive; even demonic disciples have died. You are a righteous disciple, yet he sent you back up after chatting?
“What about Bai Jin and the others?” Tie Liuyun asked.
“That ultimate demon feels empty, cold, and lonely, so he wanted them to stay and accompany him to play Mahjong!” Wang Ke explained.
He wasn’t planning to lie to his Revered Teacher about this.
