I'll Add Points To All Things - Chapter 186
Chapter 186: Made More Than 500 Point Coins In One Day
With that in mind, Su Yang opened the system to check the new mission.
[New Random Mission: Help Deeny complete the first video of ‘Monster Family’ and get at least 1 million views.]
‘Sh*t…Are all the Random Missions this hard now? A million views? Isn’t that a little too scary? But I guess it’s achievable since Deeny almost has a million followers herself…
‘Maybe the view requirement is just to remind me to pay attention to the mission and not slack off. It’s not that hard, I think. Otherwise, this would be a Bronze Mission instead.’
Su Yang felt better at the thought of it.
‘Okay! Deeny’s matter is my matter as well! The mission is like icing on the cake. This will be worth it!’
He turned the system off and said to Deeny. “It’s better than the last time but still, nothing stands out. I’ll do some editing for you.”
Deeny nodded with delight as Su Yang put his hand on her head before he grabbed his things to go to the study room.
With a piece of sticky note in his hand, he imagined a desktop computer that was capable of post-production work and wrote the name down on the A-side. Then, he took another piece of sticky note and wrote the same name on the B-side.
Both sticky notes were stuck on a book that started to transform into a desktop unit.
Su Yang slapped his forehead because he forgot about the monitor. He took two more pieces of sticky notes and transformed another book into a 32-inch monitor with 4K resolution.
He switched on both the machine and the fully operating desktop, which was capable of post-production work, and was ready to go.
The sticky notes provided him with exceptional convenience while the desktop computer did not even need a power source!
Su Yang searched for post-production software on the internet to begin his work. Since this desktop computer was just a temporary unit, he only downloaded the basic version and not the full package. He then transferred the footage via the Local Area Network to the computer and started editing.
With rich knowledge and experience in post-production, Su Yang moved his fingers nimbly as he edited the footage. He broke down the footage into multiple smaller parts and rearranged them into a new sequence that had a story.
After the initial editing, he played with the color. With the talent [Color Master], he was extra sensitive to color and was able to capture the perfect color for the tone of the story.
The short skit no longer looked like a vlog. Instead, it looked like the epic opening of a summer blockbuster. However, the more he edited, the harder he frowned. He realized that the shooting angle and the cinematography were bad.
Even though he was able to achieve the tone that he sought with post-production, the content of the video remained bland and boring because everything was shot within a single take. There was not even a close-up. Even after he switched up the sequence of things, it looked like the work of an amateur.
He played the footage from start to end.
‘This is just an average video on TikTok. Nothing can stand out from the rest. This is the first video of the “Monster Family” series. If I simply uploaded it, who would even pay attention to it in the long-run?’
Su Yang had to ask himself an important question: ‘Am I doing this just for the mission? Is a single Random Point that important?’
‘Hmm, yeah it’s important, but it doesn’t mean I must finish the mission right away! I have a company now and I can earn passive Coin Points endlessly. I’ll be able to get 500 Point Coins in a few days, then I can buy a Random Point with what I’ve made.
‘I think I must try my best to make the first video of the “Monster Family” series a good one and I’ll do whatever I can!’
With that in mind, Su Yang put the mouse away and stopped working on the project. He also pulled the sticky notes off and watched the desktop computer transform back into a book.
He started to think, ‘What kind of video do I want to shoot?’
As he looked out of the study room, his gaze seemed to pierce the layers of the wall and reach Deeny’s room, watching her doing her headstand on her bed while cycling her legs in the air.
He then moved his gaze to the left and he saw Gru dancing along with the music in the living room.
‘Gru has a body now, so he should be able to dance better like moonwalk or tap dance. It’s possible, isn’t it?’
Su Yang continued to move his gaze to the left. He saw Pool and Sanque beside the swimming pool, talking to each other while looking at Pool’s phone.
‘I think they are calculating the profit they’ve earned today.’
Several little monster beans were attentively pouring tea and peeling fruits for them while Janet was swimming around the swimming pool like an obedient goldfish.
Su Yang retracted his ‘gaze’ and looked at the Iron Man suit in the study room. Thoughts flooded his mind for a while before all his imaginations started to merge and intertwine. A while later, a bright idea bolted into his mind.
‘Hmm? Maybe I can do something like this…’
With that in mind, he picked up the pen and started to write on a piece of paper.
The knowledge and post-production ability that the system granted him also came with a tiny bit of script-writing ability and the knowledge of how to be a director. Su Yang tried his best to map out his thoughts on the paper.
After that, he checked what he wrote down and smiled. ‘I feel good about this’.
…
On the second morning during breakfast, Su Yang passed the lousy script that he had written to Deeny and told her to try to reshoot the video accordingly.
Deeny obediently accepted the script and went through it. She clapped her hands happily and exclaimed, “Master! Your script is amazing!”
‘You are exaggerating a little, my dear…Aside from the story, my script-writing ability is nearly zero, so why are you trying to flatter me?’
On the way to campus, Su Yang pondered about Deeny’s reaction.
‘Maybe Deeny knows what my temper is like. She knows that I only listen to things that I wanted to hear, so she always listens to me and secretly steers me into her own direction…I won’t even have a say in this soon! This little mobile pet is getting smarter by the day…’
…
The first class of the day was Old Zhou’s Modern Essentials of History.
Su Yang habitually headed to the last row.
There was still some time before class, so he opened the system to check on his missions and Point Coins.
After he opened the system, he was shocked that his Point Coins had increased from 213 last night to 731 today! It grew by more than 500 overnight!
‘Does it mean that I’ve changed more than 500 people’s lives in a day? How is it possible? Did the part-time job receive some overnight popularity that I don’t know of? Or is something wrong here?’
