I Might Be A Fake Cultivator - Chapter 947
Chapter 947: The Most Unexpected Encounter
At the shore of the Heart Examining Lake…
Hei Tengge and Bai Xingge stared blankly into the white fog.
They felt like An Lin was still making his way back… Or at least, they had no choice but to believe that…
“Senior Bai Xingge, it has already been two hours,” Hei Tengge said expressionlessly.
Bai Xingge knew that there were very slim chances of An Lin coming back, and an expression of despair appeared on its face. “I was wrong. I shouldn’t have initiated this dao heart contest with him!”
“Senior, why are you apologizing to me? You should be apologizing to someone else…” Hei Tengge heaved a long sigh. “Mr. Lin An has most likely made it to the other side of the lake and been bashed to death. As opposed to being found out and interrogated, we should just admit to our crimes, and we might receive a lighter punishment.”
Bai Xingge felt like this made sense. “Let’s go then!”
Hei Tengge stared into the white fog with an expression of disappointment before bowing slightly. “Farewell, Mr. Lin An.”
An Lin had a pair of wings and was currently on his way up to the ninth level.
He was just considering how he could swindle a kiss.
Ptui! Not swindle! How to obtain a kiss!
The guardian of the Sun Tree wasn’t at the Dao Integration Stage yet, so even if he forced a kiss upon her, she probably wouldn’t be able to kill him… However, it would be best if there was a more conservative way to do things.
He would just have to make something up along the way.
Soon, An Lin passed through the white mist, upon which the dazzling light of the sun shone down upon his body, basking him in a golden glow.
He looked up curiously, only to discover a very small continent.
This continent was only about ten percent the size of the seventh-level continent, and the massive trunk had tapered off to a point here. Regardless of whether it was the tree trunk or the branches and leaves, all of it had become transparent.
An Lin landed on the ninth-level continent, which was interwoven with transparent branches and vines, so he could still see the mass of clouds and mist down below.
If it weren’t for the fact that the footing here was extremely stable, he would feel like he was walking among the clouds.
He looked around with confusion on his face, but he didn’t discover anything noteworthy.
This was the center of the continent, and there was a strange tree growing nearby.
The tree was transparent, but the fruits on it were a semi-transparent rainbow color.
“That’s strange, where is the guardian of the Sun Tree?” An Lin was confused as he walked toward that strange tree.
What was more surprising to him was that after reaching about a hundred feet away from the tree, the omnipresent white mist suddenly disappeared from view. It was as if it had never existed.
He stood at the tip of the Sun Tree and was greeted by infinitely broad horizons.
The ground below was a vast expanse of green, which stretched all the way into the bright blue horizon line. He could even see some undulating mountain ranges in the extremely far distance. If his eyesight was good enough, he could probably see the entire Southern Heavenly Wing Nation from his vantage point.
He looked down below him, and his mouth gaped open slightly.
His gaze pierced through the transparent ninth-level continent, upon which he was greeted by the sight of the black, circular continent.
There was an even larger white circle framing the black, circular continent, which comprised of the seventh and eighth levels. Below the seventh level was the purple rings of the sixth level, followed by blue, red, yellow, orange, green…
Each and every layer was another vibrant circle.
As the continents grew smaller in sizes as one went up, from An Lin’s perspective, it looked like a series of different colored circles framing one another, all of which glowed with an enticing light under the sun.
This was like a gigantic rainbow lollipop!
“It’s so beautiful!” An Lin was shocked by what he was seeing.
An extremely enticing voice sounded from behind him, “Right? I think it’s quite beautiful here too.”
An Lin’s body shuddered as excitement welled up in his heart.
If there was any other voice here, then it had to belong to the guardian of the Sun Tree.
He turned with an expression that he thought to be quite handsome. With a friendly smile, he greeted, “Hello there, beautiful guardian of the Sun T… The f*ck?!”
An Lin’s smile slowly congealed on his face as he stared at what had appeared before him. He felt as if ten thousand mythological beasts were stampeding all over his heart, and he temporarily lost the ability to think.
What had appeared before him was a golden ball of flames, which exuded an extremely scorching aura.
Just the temperatures emanating from the ball of flames was enough to twist and crack the space around it. If you ignored the white eyes and the small pink lips on it, it was a miniature sun!
No! Even with the mouth and the eyes, it was still a sun!
A sun that was about half as tall as a grown man!
Its flame power was so pure, to the extent that there was not even a single hint of impurity within it…
Only the flames of the sun could be this pure!
An Lin’s skin crawled. Had the enticing female voice he had just heard really come from this sun?
“Who… Who are you?” he asked with difficulty.
“And who are you?” the sun asked in a clear, crisp voice.
An Lin: “Tell me who you are first.”
The small sun: “Why should I have to go first?”
“I promise I’ll tell you who I am after you tell me,” An Lin promised.
The little sun nodded. “I am the guardian of the Sun Tree, Yi Li.”
An Lin’s eyes widened, and the final line of defense shattered in his heart as tears welled up in his eyes.
Even though he had already guessed this, when the notion was confirmed, he still couldn’t help but shed tears.
I have to kiss a sun?!
“Hahaha…” A peal of enticing laughter erupted on the black continent.
The Vermilion Bird Princess looked at An Lin’s tearful expression through her photographic crystal, and she doubled over in laughter.
“Your turn now. Who are you?” Yi Li asked curiously.
An Lin recovered from the brink of collapse before taking a deep breath. “Hello there, guardian of the Sun Tree. I am the new mythological beast of the Sun Tree, Great Sparrow Man, and I came here as I wanted to witness your beauty. Pardon my intrusion.”
“Pfff…” The Vermilion Bird Princess almost threw up a mouthful of blood upon hearing this, and she stared at the crystal with an expression of rage and resentment. “Shameless An… you really are shameless!”
Only mythological beasts had the right to enter the ninth level, so An Lin made up a lie.
Yi Li was a little surprised. “We have a new Dao Integration Stage mythological beast now? That’s fantastic! Why have I not heard of this?”
An Lin lied like a seasoned veteran as he said, “I only recently successfully progressed to the Dao Integration Stage, so the news of this hasn’t spread yet.”
“Oh…” Yi Li nodded her golden head ambiguously.
Her round, fiery body revolved in a circle around An Lin, as if she was surveying him, and her scorching aura caused the space around her to warp and crack. If he were a normal Return to Void Stage mighty figure, he would most likely have melted. Thankfully, An Lin had skin as thick as a fortress. Even so, he still found the heat to be quite difficult to bear.
“How did you get up here? Even a mythological beast of the Sun Tree has to request for my approval before coming up here.” Yi Li was still a little confused.
A faint smile appeared on An Lin’s face as he made his way toward the little sun and extended a finger to caress her cheek. “I grew a pair of wings to fly into the sky in search of the light in my heart, but I met you instead… Perhaps, this was all meant to be!”
Yi Li’s body trembled, and her flames became even more vibrant.
An Lin smiled as he withdrew his finger, and his face convulsed minutely. Even his body of the War God was no match for Yi Li’s scorching flames. His index finger had already been charred black…
He looked at the little sun as ten thousand alpacas stampeded over his heart.
An Lin developed a phobia of kissing at that moment.
If he kissed this little sun, he could very well die…
