I Might Be A Fake Cultivator - Chapter 544
Chapter 544: Rousing His Lackeys
An Lin didn’t know what this floating white fragment was, but from its appearance alone, he knew it was something out of the ordinary.
He wanted to get up to inspect the fragment more carefully, but he discovered that he had been bound by some sort of black tree branch, which rendered him completely immobilized.
“Crap! What is this stuff? I can’t muster up any strength…”
An Lin struggled to break free, but he couldn’t summon up any strength nor could he circulate his vital energy…
The black tree branch bound his entire body with a thick feeler extended outward that merged into a black rock formation below the white fragment.
It’s over. This is definitely some sort of evil ceremony…
An Lin was already envisioning himself being offered up as a sacrifice where all his blood would be extracted from his body, thus reducing him to a dried and shriveled corpse.
He turned to discover that Cassidy, Merlin, and Xue Zhantian had also been bound by black branches. All of them had their eyes closed while smiling blissfully, thus indicating that they were clearly still trapped in wonderful illusionary realms of their own.
Aside from them, An Lin also saw three other people.
One of them was a handsome man with short golden hair with a pair of pristine white wings growing from his back and a golden ring around his neck. There was also a well-built man clothed in a red robe, and his golden hair was cut in the style of a buzz cut. This well-built man also had a pair of crimson hands. Lastly, there was an exquisitely beautiful woman with the lower body of a blue fishtail. She was wearing blue garments over her upper body, and she appeared extremely alluring, even with her eyes tightly closed.
From their bodily characteristic, An Lin could tell that the man with the short golden hair should be a mighty figure from the Light Wing Clan, whereas the woman who looked like mermaid should be a mighty figure from the Spirit Fish Clan of the West Sea.
As for that man with a buzz cut… Hehehe… He was going to be An Lin’s new underling!
All of them had fallen into a deep slumber, so An Lin was the only conscious one here!
“As expected, I’m still the best…”
An Lin sighed as he experienced a sense of loneliness that stemmed from invincibility.
It didn’t matter that he was still the best, that wasn’t going to help him escape from these tree branches!
Never would An Lin have thought that those two benevolent elderly men would be the most powerful BOSSES of this place. They appeared to be two harmless old men, yet they managed to abduct so many Return to Void Stage mighty figures…
What were they plotting?
An Lin didn’t really care about that. His top priority was to get out of here.
“Hey! Little Tian, wake up!”
An Lin didn’t dare to yell, so he could only call in a soft voice.
“Little Ke! Little Ke! Wake up!
“Cassidy, Merlin! Stop sleeping! Wake the hell up!”
A sleeping person could be easily roused, but it wouldn’t be that easy to wake someone who was trapped in an illusionary realm.
An Lin attempted a couple more times before abandoning this method for a new method.
“Cassidy, Merlin! I plan to give each of you half a kilogram of holy blood!” An Lin announced in a louder voice.
Boom!
The two of them shuddered violently at An Lin’s words.
A person trapped in an illusionary realm did not have full control over their consciousness, but that didn’t mean they were deprived of all senses. If sufficient stimulus was provided, there was a chance they could be roused from their illusionary realms.
Sure enough, both of them demonstrated signs of awakening.
“Get up! I’ll give you three seconds! Once that time passes, you’ll each be missing out on half a kilogram of holy blood!” An Lin continued with his shock treatment.
Cassidy’s brows furrowed tightly together as her red lips trembled. “No… Master… I’m going to eat you!”
Merlin licked his lips. “Don’t run Master… let… let me suck you dry first…”
An Lin’s lips twitched upon hearing them sleep talking. What kind of slaves were these?
“Hahaha… An Lin… I’ve finally killed you…” Xue Zhantian suddenly began to chortle with glee.
An Lin was completely dumbstruck.
Why did Xue Zhantian want to kill him?
Was this really his beast pet?!
Cassidy and Merlin slowly opened their eyes with dazed expressions on their faces.
Cassidy came to her senses as an expression of lingering fear appeared on her face. “I’m back? That was horrifying! I knew in my heart that that was an illusionary realm, but I still couldn’t help but sink deeper. If it wasn’t for that voice I heard, I probably would’ve never woken up…”
“Me too.” Merlin nodded.
Cassidy then turned her gaze on An Lin. “Master, I seemed to have heard you say that you are going to give each of us half a kilogram of holy blood…”
“Me too.” Merlin nodded again as he turned a scorching gaze on An Lin.
An Lin chuckled coldly. “That was the voice of the illusionary realm. I didn’t say anything!”
Cassidy pouted in dissatisfaction. “The voice of the illusionary realm? Is the illusionary realm retarded? Why would it say something like that to wake me up?”
“The illusionary realm may indeed be retarded. There were people in there that persuaded me to leave…” An Lin pursed his lips in response.
This wasn’t exactly a lie. After all, the Xu Xiaolan within his illusionary realm was the one that had alerted him to the fact that that was a world he did not belong to, thereby prompting him to come back to the real world.
He referred to the realms as illusions, but the sense of realism he experienced within the realm made him doubt himself. Perhaps that really was an alternate reality that existed parallel to his own…
Cassidy and Merlin couldn’t really do anything after An Lin refused to admit to what he said. After all, their minds were incoherent as they were trapped in their respective illusionary realms, so anything they heard couldn’t be taken seriously. Besides, it was all thanks to that voice that they were able to break out of the illusionary realms.
Right at this moment, Xue Zhantian also opened his big, round eyes with excitement on his face. “Thank the heavens! I finally did it!”
“What did you do?” An Lin asked with a dark expression.
Xue Zhantian woke up of his own accord.
Hence, it was clear that he had broken out of his illusionary realm through his own strength.
Xue Zhantian faltered slightly upon seeing An Lin before an awkward smile appeared on his face. He blinked his big, watery eyes at An Lin and began to act cute. “Hehe… nothing, Master. I was just saying… that I finally managed to break through the illusionary realm!”
“Then how come I heard you say that you are going to kill me? You must’ve succeeded seeing as you’re so ecstatic!” An Lin asked with a fake smile.
Xue Zhantian’s body shuddered violently before he yelled in panic, “That’s not true! If that was true, then snow would fall in June! I knew that the Master within the illusionary realm was not my real Master, so I slew the imposter for his heinous crime of impersonation…”
An Lin rolled his eyes. It was obvious that he was completely unconvinced by Xue Zhantian’s lies.
He was going to make sure to teach him a lesson once he managed to free himself.
“We’ve all been bound here now, so let’s think of a plan to get free!” An Lin proposed since his lackeys were all up now.
Cassidy and Merlin did not reply to his proposal. Instead, they were both staring blankly at the white fragment before them.
“You guys think this object is out of the ordinary as well, right? I think so too!” An Lin felt like he had great foresight.
“It’s not just out of the ordinary…” Merlin muttered.
“This is a fragment of the realm core!” Cassidy swallowed involuntarily while looking as if she wanted to pounce on the fragment.
An Lin was completely dumbstruck.
Holy f*ck! This is a fragment of the realm core?!
