I Might Be A Fake Cultivator - Chapter 533
Chapter 533: To Purify All the Sins of This World
All three of the cultivators standing around the cylindrical mountain were Return to Void Stage mighty figures, so An Lin and Cassidy knew that they wouldn’t be able to escape detection for long.
Thus, the two of them abandoned their concealment techniques before flying directly toward where the three mighty figures were.
“Sect Leader Cassidy, haha, what a happy coincidence it is to see you here!” The Blood Tribe cultivator initially faltered slightly before an ecstatic expression appeared on his face.
He had this in the bag now!
“It sure is, Merlin, what’s the situation right now?” Cassidy asked with a smile.
The other two Return to Void Stage cultivators both stirred slightly at the emergence of Cassidy on the scene. There were now two Blood Tribe cultivators present, thereby tipping the balance against their favor and placing the two of them under immense pressure.
The West Sea sea monsters and the Dragon Tribe of the East Sea had always been sworn enemies. Some people might ask why these two powers on different sides of the continent would become enemies. This was a story that traced back to when Pangu created the world…
To cut a long story short, there was no way the dragon and the shark monster would work together. As such, the two Blood Tribe mighty figures at the scene put each of them at a severe disadvantage.
“Huh? There’s a human and a snow soul beast as well? And they’re both Soul Formation Stage? How peculiar…” the man from the Dragon Tribe exclaimed in surprise.
From his perspective, it looked like the human was the prisoner of the Blood Tribe mighty figure. He wasn’t on good enough terms with the human race to risk his life for a man he did not know, so he certainly wasn’t going to swoop in to save An Lin.
As for the shark monster, it couldn’t even be bothered to look at the human and the snow soul beast. They were only at the Soul Formation Stage, so they posed no threat; as such, there was no point in paying attention to them.
“Some strange phenomena have just occurred here, so there might be some extremely rare treasures or Realm Essence Crystals that appear here soon,” Merlin contained the excitement on his face before explaining with a slight smile.
“Hehe… then coming here really was a happy coincidence. Do you mind if I join you?” Cassidy replied with a smile of her own.
“Not at all.” Merlin gladly obliged.
He then turned his eyes on An Lin with a mysterious smile on his face. “I didn’t know that Sect Leader Cassidy had the habit of keeping pretty boys around.”
Cassidy smiled nonchalantly. “He’s just a moving blood bank for me to enjoy from time to time.”
An Lin’s face convulsed slightly. That was probably what Cassidy actually thought of him.
Merlin nodded before completely disregarding An Lin. After all, there were many cultivators in the Blood Tribe who had the habit of taking “snacks” with them wherever they went, so it wasn’t really anything out of the ordinary. His top priority was to eliminate these two other Return to Void Stage mighty figures.
“How about we get rid of these two meddlers?” Merlin smiled.
“Are we going to be able to beat them?” Cassidy asked.
“They are extremely averse to joining forces, so we have a very good chance against them.” Merlin did not hide his thoughts.
The Dragon Tribe warrior and the shark monster’s expression both shifted upon hearing this, and they glanced at each other.
“Gu Luo, are you planning to fight or run?” The Dragon Tribe warrior turned to the shark monster.
He had to verify this point first; otherwise, if a battle ensued and the shark monster ran away, he would be screwed on his own!
“Ao Mingyu, the situation now is very clear. We only have two choices here. If you’re willing to fight, then I won’t run either. Let’s set our differences aside and defeat these two Blood Tribe cultivators first,” Gu Luo replied as his battle intent surged.
“Alright!” The Dragon Tribe warrior waved his fan.
Dark clouds instantly appeared overhead in a radius of five kilometers as thunder and lightning exploded in the sky.
Gu Luo stepped forward and massives waves suddenly began to surge over the ground before crashing down upon the two Blood Tribe cultivators!
“Army of a hundred thousand soul generals, heed my command, establish the Ancient Blood Demon Formation!”
A small banner suddenly appeared in Merlin’s hands, from which a dense army of soul warriors emerged, before creating an extremely vast spell formation to conjure up the projection of a blood demon that was over ten thousand feet in height.
The blood demon’s body was entirely crimson, and it wielded a huge crimson saber that it used to part the oncoming giant waves.
Thus, a battle between four Return to Void Stage mighty figures commenced.
An Lin flew high into the air atop his brick and became a front-row spectator for the earth-shattering battle taking place on the ground below.
Cassidy charged toward the Dragon Tribe warrior, Ao Mingyu, while Merlin was engaged in battle with the shark monster.
An Lin could determine the combat prowess of the three unfamiliar cultivators by spectating the battles.
Ao Mingyu’s cultivation base was situated at the Return to Void Initial Stage, so Cassidy immediately gained the upper hand in their battle.
The storm and lightning he summoned were extremely fearsome, but he couldn’t even land a single blow on Cassidy, who was dodging all his attacks with ease through the use of her movement techniques.
In contrast, each of Cassidy’s monstrous crimson sword projections was able to tear through the storm Ao Mingyu had materialized, and he had already sustained a large wound on his arm.
An Lin placed himself in Ao Mingyu’s shoes, and he discovered that he was unsure if he could take one of her Cassidy’s sword projections even after using the Origin Energy of the Netherworld and drawing on the power of An Kirin.
On the other side of the battlefield, Gu Luo and Merlin were quite evenly matched.
Their cultivation bases were both at the pinnacle of Return to Void initial Stage, thereby placing them both about on par with Cassidy, resulting in a battle where neither of them was able to gain an immediate upper hand.
Ao Mingyu was starting to get quite worried as the battle progressed.
Gu Luo clearly wasn’t going to be done anytime soon on his end, so what could he do?
If things continued like this, he was going to be sliced to death by Cassidy!
Another massive crimson sword projection divided heaven and earth before descending upon Ao Mingyu with mighty killing intent.
A chill ran down Ao Mingyu’s spine at the sight of the sword projection, and he let loose an enraged roar before instantly transforming into a huge white dragon of several thousand feet in length as he swept his tail toward the monstrous sword projection.
Boom!
Ao Mingyu was knocked flying by the force of the collision, and he immediately fled the battle without even turning his head.
Cassidy chose not to give chase. Even if she did give chase, it would be quite difficult for her to chase him down. After all, in a battle between Return to Void Stage mighty figures, as long as there wasn’t a significant disparity in power, there was a very high chance the weaker party would be able to get away.
Gu Luo cussed out the retreating Ao Mingyu for being a coward before also fleeing from the battle…
Thus, the fearsome battle drew to a close after only a short time with the Blood Tribe emerging as the overwhelming winners.
“Hahaha… Sect Leader Cassidy, it was all thanks to your help that we were able to force the enemy into retreat.” Merlin was very clearly very happy to see the backs of Ao Mingyu and Gu Luo, and he joined his hands in salute to Cassidy.
“You’re far too kind.” Cassidy made her way toward Merlin with a dainty smile on her face. Her slender waist twirled as she walked, and her voluptuous chest rose and fell with her movement in an extremely seductive display.
Merlin was momentarily entranced by Cassidy’s beauty, during which time she had already appeared right before him.
It was also in that split second that her crimson sword pierced through the air before stabbing through Merlin’s heart at point-blank range.
The fearsome power of her strike created a deep fissure in the ground, which extended for several kilometers behind Merlin as well as a series of spatial cracks around his body.
Everything had happened far too quickly and spontaneously.
Merlin was caught completely off guard, and he stared down in disbelief at the wound in his chest.
Boom!
His body suddenly exploded into a cloud of black mist, which converged again several hundred meters away.
The wound on Merlin’s chest had already been fully healed, but his features were particularly pale, thereby indicating that he had clearly been severely wounded.
Cassidy stepped forward and sealed the space around them in a radius of one and a half kilometers, completely eliminating all avenues of escape for Merlin.
“Why… We’re from the same tribe! We don’t have any personal vendetta against each other either!” Merlin took a deep breath before staring at Cassidy with a bewildered expression.
With a proud and dignified manner, Cassidy stood before him while pointing her crimson sword at Merlin with a solemn expression.
“Why? To purify all the sins of this world!”
Merlin: “???”
