I Might Be A Fake Cultivator - Chapter 493
Chapter 493: The Nightmare of the Blood Tribe
“Poison Lord?” Liu Chuchu was taken aback by his words. “You?”
A smug smile appeared on An Lin’s face. “That’s right! I am the invincible Poison Lord!”
He continued, “Stain the tips of your arrows with my blood and shoot five all at once. I guarantee that they’ll be falling like flies!”
Liu Chuchu was a little skeptical. “Are you serious?”
“I swear upon my reputation!” An Lin patted his chest with firm conviction.
Meanwhile, within the Blood Tribe camp.
Four red-robed Blood Tribe members were setting up a spell formation on the ground.
A man with golden hair and crimson eyes stood before the four of them and stared at the white lake nearby.
“Louise, is the Spirit-Breaking Formation ready?” the man asked.
An attractive woman smiled and replied in a gentle voice, “Everything is prepared on my end. I’m just waiting for the completion of Sacha’s Blood-Trapping Formation.”
A handsome young man raised his head at this moment and nodded expressionlessly. “Simpson, my Blood-Trapping Formation is also ready.”
A smile appeared on Simpson’s face as he nodded at the four people before him. “Great! Let’s attract whatever lies at the bottom of this lake onto the surface. Take care not to get too close to it as we don’t quite know what it is yet.”
The other four nodded with solemn expressions before injecting their energies into the formations.
Right at this moment, five streaks of pink light flew through the air toward each of them at extreme speed.
“Be careful!” Simpson roared.
Boom boom boom!
The arrows pierced through the air in lethal trajectories.
Louise dodged to the side, but the tip of the arrow still drew blood by scratching her shoulder.
Two of the other brawny men reacted a little too slowly, and as a result, the arrows pierced through their chests.
Simpson managed to construct a barrier of light just in time to keep the arrow at bay.
Sacha’s body twisted in the air, and he managed to dodge an arrow as well.
“Ow, that hurt. What kind of rude buffoon is trying to attack us?” A seductive smile appeared on Louise’s face, and she didn’t appear to be nervous at all.
“Don’t get careless. I can sense that all five of these arrows share the energy of one person. It should serve as a warning sign to us that they’re able to detect our locations without us being able to detect them.” Simpson furrowed his brows.
“Hmph. What’s there to fear from such pathetic attacks? This is plain provocation!” One of the brawny men pulled an arrow out of his chest before replying in a nonchalant manner.
The flesh around his chest then began to squirm in order to heal the puncture wound left by the arrow.
Simpson flew into the air in the direction the arrows had come from. “No matter what their intentions are, they’ve discovered our location. We must eliminate them before we attract the thing at the bottom of the lake out onto the surface!”
The remaining four Blood Tribe cultivators nodded at his words. They then flew toward the direction the arrows had come from while scanning their surroundings with their divine senses.
At the summit of a mountain over ten kilometers away, An Lin glanced at Liu Chuchu. “Didn’t you say you could hit all five of them at once? Are you just wasting my blood?”
Liu Chuchu pursed her lips. “I said I could theoretically shoot all five of them at once! Hitting three at once is already a really good strike rate! Speaking of which, aren’t you supposed to be the ‘Poison Lord’? How come all of the Blood Tribe cultivators are still alive?
“Why are they all alive and well? And they’re on their way here!”
“Huh? They didn’t die?” An Lin was taken aback after hearing this.
His eyesight was limited, so he couldn’t see what was happening at that place ten kilometers away from him.
Liu Chuchu: “Let’s find a place to hide first.”
An Lin was unconvinced and said, “Let’s set up a concealment spell technique and wait here first. I want to see if it’s my blood that has lost its edge or if these Blood Tribe b*stards have developed immunities.”
Within a few seconds, the five Blood Tribe cultivators appeared within their fields of vision.
They arrived atop waves of blood as their auras surged with astonishing might.
They really are alive…
An Lin was feeling quite dejected for some reason. He felt as if he had lost some really bada*s ability.
However, right at this moment, two of the brawny men among the five Blood Tribe cultivators began to tremble violently.
“Jeff, Wade, what’s wrong?” Simpson immediately asked after detecting their worsening conditions.
Jeff’s body trembled as he looked at Simpson with a dazed expression. “Team leader, I…”
He didn’t even get a chance to finish his sentence before he began frothing at the mouth and plummeting to the ground below.
“There arrows were poisonous!” Wade yelled.
He then spat out a huge mouthful of blood while his vitality faded away at an alarming rate. Soon, he plummeted toward the ground as well.
Simpson was extremely shocked upon seeing this, and he immediately materialized two huge vital-energy hands to cradle them in the air.
However, both of them were devoid of vitality after a few seconds…
The other three stared blankly at their two deceased team members. They had temporarily lost the ability to think.
They were Blood Tribe members who were renowned for their powerful life forces!
Furthermore, Jeff and Wade were both Soul Formation Final Stage cultivators who could even regenerate their heads after decapitation.
What kind of ghastly poison could kill them within such a short period of time?!
A thought suddenly occurred to Louise. She looked down at her shoulder with fear in her eyes, only to find that the arrow wound there still hadn’t healed over. This was extremely bizarre for cultivators of the Blood Tribe.
“AH!” She let loose a fearful shriek before turning a pleading gaze upon Simpson and Sacha. “Save me…”
She only had a chance to utter those two words before she spat out a mouthful of blood. Her body swayed slightly as her vitality quickly faded. After a while, she plummeted from the sky.
Simpson and Sacha looked at each other and chills ran down both their spines.
They immediately turned around and fled without a word!
They didn’t have the courage to fight such an uncanny enemy. The Blood Tribe cultivators prided themselves on their powerful life forces, and they were not afraid of battles. In battles against opponents with comparable strengths, if it were extremely difficult to kill them, they could always run.
However… their unknown enemy could kill them just by nicking them. This notion alone was enough for them to lose all their battle intent.
“Tina, pick up their storage rings!”
An Lin left an instruction before chasing after the two retreating Blood Tribe cultivators on his brick.
Liu Chuchu also rose into the air as she stared at An Lin with undisguised shock on her face.
She couldn’t help but ask, “Why… why is your blood so poisonous?”
She was well aware of the fact that Louise had only been slightly grazed by her arrow. Even so, she still couldn’t escape death… Just how powerful was the poison in An Lin’s blood to be able to accomplish this? This was simply unimaginable to her!
“I don’t know either. But don’t worry, my blood is harmless to humans. At the moment, I’ve only verified that my blood is poisonous to the Blood Tribe and the Demons of Hell,” An Lin replied.
Liu Chuchu’s lips twitched. The blood of the Poison Lord was selective in its victims? How terrifying…
“We’re close…”
An Lin suddenly spoke.
Liu Chuchu raised her head to see that they were less than five hundred meters away from the Blood Tribe cultivators.
However, they seemed to have activated some sort of spell technique that enabled them to explosively accelerate to increase the gap between An Lin and themselves.
Right at this moment, An Lin slashed down onto his own arm with his Evil-Slaying Sword.
Pfft!
Blood splattered into the air.
Wings of Wind! Wind Sword!
Boom!
An Lin also explosively accelerated as he tore through the air, leaving a sonic boom in his wake.
“So fast!” Liu Chuchu’s eyes widened with shock as her speed faltered from the gale-force winds An Lin left in his wake.
An Lin caught up to the two Blood Tribe cultivators almost instantly, and his sword flashed through the air, creating two streaks of blood.
“What the f*ck! How is he so fast?!” Simpson turned pale with fright.
“It’s alright! The woman behind him is the one with the poisonous arrows. That man’s speed boost appears to only be temporary, and we’ve already shaken him off! We just need to look out for that woman’s poisonous arrows now,” Sacha said as he analyzed calmly.
Simpson nodded at his analysis before committing the faces of An Lin and Liu Chuchu to memory. He would exact revenge upon them next time by showing them a pain worse than death!
Simpson was just thinking this to himself, but all of a sudden, he started to feel nauseous.
“Eugh!”
A huge mouthful of blood gushed forth, and he could feel his vitality receding at an alarming rate while his body began to disintegrate…
Sacha also widened his eyes in shock when he suddenly realized something. With a horrified expression, he turned to look behind himself, only to find that the man with the black sword had already stopped pursuing them and was looking at them with a taunting sneer on his face.
“It was you…”
He finally realized what had happened upon seeing the wound on An Lin’s arm.
However, it was all too late for them. Sacha and Simpson’s eyes rolled over as they began to froth at their mouths. After a while, they plummeted to the ground with their bodies completely devoid of any signs of vitality…
