I Might Be A Fake Cultivator - Chapter 487
Chapter 487: Reaching The Real Continent
An Lin stood up before walking toward the glacial lands.
Tina stood on An Lin’s shoulder and unleashed a defensive spell technique that enveloped herself and An Lin in the form of a white film of light.
An Lin was a little baffled. “What are you doing?”
“I’m keeping out the cold, why?” Tina responded with a quizzical expression.
“Don’t waste too much vital energy. We don’t know how long we need to go through these glacial lands before emerging on the other side. Save your defensive spell technique for when we’re unable to endure the cold any longer,” An Lin advised.
“Oh…” Tina retracted her defensive spell technique obediently while thinking to herself that An Lin was full of knowledge and had indeed accumulated experience over twenty thousand years.
An Lin poked a finger through the border of the continent, and the glacial lands and the power of extreme frost settled around his finger.
All the blue gas seemed to have detected something, and they all converged on An Lin’s finger.
An Lin didn’t try to avoid them. Instead, he allowed the blue gas to settle around his finger.
The power of extreme frost immediately threatened to freeze his finger solid, and a series of cracks sounded from the air as it froze solid before shattering. The power of extreme frost from the blue gas was akin to the effect of a Soul Formation Stage cultivator unleashing an ice-type spell technique on him.
An Lin harrumphed coldly as the Great Holy Flame appeared on his finger, which instantly burned away all the blue gas around his finger.
He nodded at this observation. It appeared that his Divine Flames would be able to eradicate the blue gas.
He then tossed a small ball of fire into the glacial lands. However, the blue gas dodged into the distance instead of converging on the flames. It appeared that the blue gas would only converge upon living creatures.
An Lin paused for a moment before taking a deep breath. He then entered the glacial lands with Tina on his shoulder.
He and Tina were both set upon by an intense, chilling sensation upon entering the glacial lands. Under such low temperatures, even a Spirit Nurturing Stage cultivator wouldn’t be able to last a few minutes.
Tina instinctively tried to use her defensive spell technique, but she suppressed her urge to do so after recalling An Lin’s words of wisdom.
An Lin continued onward on his black brick, and the blue gas around him immediately tried to converge upon him. However, he managed to outrun the blue gas with his speed.
As they entered deeper into the glacial lands, the blue gas became a part of the air, so there was no way to avoid it.
They could only endure the cold now.
An Lin felt as if his whole body had been submerged by the power of extreme frost; it relentlessly seeped into his body, threatening to freeze his blood and meridians solid.
At this moment, he suddenly felt a sharp itch in his ear.
“Hey! Why did you go into my ear!?” An Lin exclaimed.
“Cold… s-s-so cold…” Tina shivered uncontrollably as she curled herself up in a ball in An Lin’s ear.
An Lin: “…”
Tina couldn’t endure the cold anymore, so she unleashed a defensive spell technique that encompassed herself and An Lin.
An Lin told her he could still hold on, so she could just use the spell defensive spell technique on herself.
As they continued onward, the temperatures became lower and lower while the blue gas became denser and denser.
After advancing for close to ten kilometers, An Lin finally couldn’t bear it anymore. He unleashed the Great Holy Flame to protect himself and Tina, and at the same time, he swallowed a Blood Spirit Pill.
To his surprise, the Great Holy Flame fizzled out after less than five kilometers.
An Lin had no choice but to bring out his Demonic Star Flame.
Followed by his Setting Moon Flame… and then his Heavenly Void Flame…
Tina stared at the vast expanse of blue gas with no end in sight and began to repeat the same few words over and over again. “We’re going to die… we’re going to die…”
An Lin’s lips twitched after hearing these familiar words.
Why was she relentlessly repeating that right by his ear?
He felt like he had a sinister female ghost sitting on his shoulder while cursing him relentlessly, “We’re going to die… we’re going to die…”
This experience… was not a f*cking good one!
Boom!
Before they knew it, they suddenly stumbled into a certain pitch-black domain.
The terrifying power of extreme frost in the air instantly pierced through the defenses of the four Divine Flames. An Lin activated his Origin Energy of the Netherworld without hesitation and materialized all four Divine Flames again through the power boost he received!
Retreat was not an option, he could only continue onward!
“Hold on tight!”
He spread open his Wings of Wind and accelerated in an explosive manner as he flew forward with all his might.
Tina latched tightly onto An Lin’s ear while her intricate features paled as she stared around at the endless expanse of darkness around him.
Not long after this, a huge thump rang out as An Lin crashed into a barrier.
An Lin immediately pulled out his Evil-Slaying Sword before slashing down upon the barrier before him.
Boom!
A black sword projection struck the barrier but was unable to inflict any damage.
Boundless power of extreme frost began to erode his Divine Flames as they threatened to break through his armor of flames.
A thought suddenly occurred to An Lin. He quickly summoned his Realm-Piercing Nail before reciting a mantra.
This high-rank immortal tool was the most potent for breaking through spatial barriers.
“Break through!” An Lin roared and the Realm-Piercing Nail shot forth before colliding into the barrier with extreme penetrative power!
A crimson streak flashed through the darkness before shattering the barrier standing in An Lin’s way.
Boom!
The light of day flooded in and lit up the darkness.
Without any hesitation, An Lin charged for the crack in the barrier and arrived in a new world!
The pressure around him fell away, and although it was still quite cold, there was no longer that fearsome power of extreme frost lingering in the air that threatened to freeze him solid.
When his Origin Energy of the Netherworld dissipated, he half-knelt on the ground in exhaustion. He turned to look behind him only to find that the crack in the barrier had been sealed.
Tina was also staring at the barrier behind her. Her body swayed slightly as if she had verified something before tears flowed from her eyes.
In front of her was an infinitely vast black barrier with no end in sight.
The black barrier was slightly warped as if it contained something extremely gigantic.
She knew that what was contained within was the continent that she had always thought to be the entire world…
Tina turned her gaze in the opposite direction to find a series of mountain ranges with no end in sight. Icy blue snow floated in the air, and the sky above was a mix of blue and purple.
“So… so the world really is extremely vast…”
Tina stared blankly at the scenery in the distance as tears flowed down her face.
“Quit marveling at everything… Help me up and warm me with a spell technique…” An Lin’s teeth chattered.
The after-effect of using the Origin Energy of the Netherworld rendered him temporarily unable to circulate his vital energy, and he immediately became a lot more susceptible to the cold.
Tina came to her senses before turning to An Lin with a shocked expression. It was as if she was shocked that even Giant An Lin had such vulnerable moments.
She immediately cast a warm film of light over An Lin before materializing a big hand in the air. With the big hand, she picked him up as they flew toward the mountain ranges in the distance.
After flying out from the glacial lands, Tina was greeted by the sight of a series of barren mountain ranges that were completely devoid of life.
“Aw… the outside world isn’t that pretty after all…” She pursed her lips in disappointment.
An Lin rolled his eyes. “The world is massive, it can’t be comprised entirely of beautiful scenery.”
“Oh! It looks like there’s something there, let’s go have a look!”
Tina flew excitedly in a certain direction with An Lin in tow.
