I Might Be A Fake Cultivator - Chapter 394
Chapter 394: Forming An Alliance
On the White Jade Plaza, Yao Mingxi was in the process of bandaging up Yao Xiu’s wounds.
There was a particularly deep sword wound on Yao Xiu’s body which had stained half her green top red.
Yao Xiu looked at Yao Mingxi with a guilty expression. “Sorry, big brother, I’m so useless and I even dragged you down with me…”
“Nonsense, it’s only because we were unlucky this time. Senior Tang Ximen is the strongest student in fourth-year, and he’s one of the contenders for the top few spots on the Immortal Rankings Board. He’s certainly strong enough to be able to progress to the last day, so there’s no shame in losing to him,” Yao Mingxi spoke as he bandaged up his wounds.
Right at this moment, a golden light began to flash in the air beside the two of them.
Tang Ximen’s body plopped down beside Yao Mingxi. His chest had been charred black, and he appeared to be in a particularly miserable state.
Yao Mingxi and Yao Xiu both turned to look beside them before falling into a shocked daze.
The three of them stared at one another and the atmosphere suddenly became quite peculiar.
“Pffft… hahaha… Big Brother, Senior Tang looks so miserable.” Yao Xiu burst out laughing but her action exacerbated her wounds and she grimaced with pain.
Yao Mingxi couldn’t help but burst into laughter as well. “I was just saying that Senior Tang would definitely be able to progress to the last day, who would have thought that you come back so soon just to prove me wrong?”
Tang Ximen chuckled in response. “Sometimes, life works out in strange ways.”
The three of them had been engaged in a brutal battle not too long ago, but they were now laughing and chatting together like great friends.
Within the Forest of One-Thousand Peaks.
An Lin and Liu Qianhuan came to the Black Rock Peak and began to play League of Valor together.
What ensued was another one-sided beating which we won’t elaborate on here.
All he could do was distract this top threat while he devised a plan to help Xu Xiaolan.
The greatest fear came from the unknown. An Lin didn’t know what enemies Xu Xiaolan was going to encounter, and he didn’t know whether Xu Xiaolan would be able to persevere until tomorrow.
What if his balls suddenly disappeared as he played League of Valor?
Just as An Lin was distracted by the mortifying thought, his champion, Yasuo the Unforgiven, was once again killed by the meteorites summoned by the opposing champion, Ahri.
A melodious cry of delight sounded once again.
…
The next day, both of them yawned in unison after spending a whole night playing League of Valor.
An Lin looked over at Liu Qianhuan with a smile, who appeared particularly beautiful under the glow of the rising sun. “Alright, I’ve kept my promise.”
Liu Qianhuan nodded. “You did indeed, our friendship lives on!”
An Lin paused for a moment before continuing, “I want to make a deal with you. You eliminate a few people for me, and I’ll spend another day playing games with you, how about that?”
Liu Qianhuan was a little perplexed by this offer. “Who could be so strong here that you need my help to beat them?”
“I’m trying to be more humble. You know how I am, I’m just a humble person who hates flexing and bragging…” An Lin replied with a serious expression.
Liu Qianhuan rolled her eyes. “Quit the bullsh*t, you’ve been acting really strange, just what are you up to? Don’t tell me you’re actually trying to find an excuse to play games with me… You wouldn’t even play with me when I offered you spirit stones in the past.”
An Lin hesitated for a moment before looking toward Liu Qianhuan, where he was greeted by her quizzical and anticipatory gaze.
“I want Xu Xiaolan to come first on the Immortal Rankings Board while I drop out of the top hundred.” An Lin took a deep breath before deciding to tell Liu Qianhuan the truth.
Liu Qianhuan was slightly taken aback by his answer, but a smile soon appeared on her face. “Such a strange answer really does sound like the truth. If that’s the case, then I’m probably your biggest obstacle.”
Liu Qianhuan tucked a few strands of stray hair behind her ear and stared at the man before her. “Why did you tell me the truth? You don’t stand to gain anything from it.”
“Because we’re friends, I don’t want to lie to you and use you, so I decided to be honest.” An Lin revealed his genuine thoughts.
A ripple flashed through Liu Qianhuan’s eyes and a slight smile appeared on her face. “Seeing as you treated me like a friend instead of treating me like an idiot, I’ll help you as a friend!”
“Really?” An Lin almost jumped up in excitement after hearing her words.
Liu Qianhuan replied with a dainty smile, “Of course I’m not lying to you. To be honest, what you’re trying to do sounds like a lot of fun.”
“You might think it’s fun, but this will heavily impact my happiness for the rest of my life, so nothing can go wrong here!” An Lin spoke with a solemn expression.
“Happiness for the rest of your life? Are you going to take this opportunity to confess your love to Xu Xiaolan?!” Liu Qianhuan exclaimed in shock.
“What are you thinking!” An Lin hurriedly denied, “It has nothing to do with that, it’s related to something else!”
Liu Qianhuan tapped her forehead with a slim finger. “Hmm… Something else? Happiness for the rest of your life… Could it be something to do with your d*ck? Is your d*ck in peril?”
An Lin’s body swayed unsteadily as he drew a sharp intake of breath.
Holy f*ck, how the hell did her brain function to be able to guess something like this?!
“This operation is related to Xu Xiaolan, so how about we name it ‘Help you win and save my d*ck’?” Liu Qianhuan suggested.
An Lin: “…”
An Lin resisted the urge to cough up blood and began to discuss the next steps with Liu Qianhuan.
Liu Qianhuan had to avoid using her sword in order to ensure her Combat Capability score remained lower than Xu Xiaolan’s. As for Achievement score, she could just avoid battles with the small fries and only pick off the main threats to Xu Xiaolan; that should keep her Achievement score to a minimum.
They were then faced with another serious problem. Could Liu Qianhuan really defeat the likes of Xuanyuan Cheng, Su Qianyun, and Zuo Qiubing without using her sword? Perhaps she could do so if she was only landing the killing blow on them, but if she were to face them in a fair and square battle, her chances for victory appeared to be quite slim.
“Well, if I use my full power to defeat Zuo Qiubing, then allow myself to be defeated by Xu Xiaolan, even if her Combat Capability score is lower than mine, her Achievement score will work out to be a lot higher, so there’s still a very good chance she could rank number one on the Immortal Rankings Board!” Liu Qianhuan suggested.
An Lin nodded with a conflicted expression. “You certainly could fight at your full strength for one battle then throw the match-up against Xu Xiaolan… But this isn’t something that you have to do, I feel guilty making you do this…”
Liu Qianhuan patted An Lin’s shoulder with a grin. “Well, it can’t be helped. I’ll have to make a sacrifice to ensure your happiness!”
An Lin was extremely touched by Liu Qianhuan’s gesture and immediately retrieved the remaining half of a mooncake from his storage ring. “This mooncake was given to me by Chang’e. I ate half of it and am now giving the remaining half to you. Thank you so much for your help!”
The soft light of the moon emanated from the mooncake, and its emergence immediately sent the light, aromatic scent of osmanthus flowers wafting throughout the Black Rock Peak.
Liu Qianhuan drew a sharp intake of breath. “This is a real f*cking mooncake! Not bad, An Lin, to be able to get your hands on one of these! And you’re certainly a good pal, to think you’d split it with me!”
An Lin waved his hand nonchalantly. “It’s no big deal.”
Liu Qianhuan took the mooncake from An Lin and looked up at him with a gentle gaze. “Do you want some more? I can split you half of this.”
“No, no, I’ve already eaten half! This half is for you!” An Lin shook his head with determination.
From the moment he had given the other half to Yi Xi, An Lin had decided that he would reserve this half for Liu Qianhuan and now was the perfect opportunity to give it to her.
The two of them sat side by side atop the Black Rock Peak as they looked up at the rising sun. A golden hue slowly began to replace the dark shroud of the night that had engulfed the forest before their eyes.
Liu Qianhuan nibbled on her mooncake and was full of praise at its exquisite taste.
The sun gradually rose into the sky and the two of them began their operation!
