I Might Be A Fake Cultivator - Chapter 121
Chapter 121: What Is Your Wish
A huge dragon of over one hundred feet in length with azure scales rose out of the water and suspended itself in mid-air, looking down on An Lin and his group.
Holy f*ck! Where had this dragon come from!?
Everyone was frozen in shock, staring blankly up at the huge dragon in the air.
“Did… did we summon this dragon?”
An Lin couldn’t help but stutter in the face of such a mountainous creature.
Miao Tian and the others were all at a loss as well, they hadn’t done anything!
From what they had learned in the Heavenly Court, they could determine that the dragon in front of them, which had a yellow horn and no wings, should be a Soul Formation Stage horned dragon.
This mighty creature even held the esteemed title of Dragon King, what was it doing living in a small lake like this!?
Seeing as no one replied, the horned dragon inhaled a breath of air.
A howling gale immediately swept up following its inhalation.
An Lin and the others all shivered in apprehension and pulled out their weapons, thinking the dragon was going to attack.
Right at this moment, the Rainbow Cow bones on the ground suddenly levitated into the air and fell into the horned dragon’s mouth.
Then, the horned dragon began to chew on the bones with a look of satisfaction on its face.
“Hmm… the bone marrow of the Rainbow Cow really is most delicious. Not only is it so exquisitely flavorful, but it also has the function of reinforcing vital essence. It truly is a supreme delicacy. In comparison, the flesh of the Rainbow Cow really is like tasteless dry weeds.
“Well done, amongst all the people who have summoned me with a Rainbow Cow as an offering… you guys are the first to go as far as to remove the flesh for me!”
The horned dragon said this to everyone with a look of approval.
An Lin and his group were completely stupefied!
There was far too much information jam-packed in that one sentence.
An offering of Rainbow Cow could summon this f*cking dragon!?
The bone marrow of the Rainbow Cow was its most delicious part!?
Everyone turned their gazes upon Xiao Chou, looking as if they wanted to swallow him alive.
Xiao Chou could only offer a distressed and innocent look. F*ck… the Great Ox King didn’t tell him about this! What was he supposed to do?
After finishing the bones of the Rainbow Cow, the horned dragon smacked it’s lips.
“Tell me, my summoners, what wishes do you have?”
An Lin and the others were absolutely dumbstruck!
Wishes?
Had they just f*cking summoned Shenron with the Rainbow Cow? [1. Shenron is a divine dragon from the popular manga and anime series, Dragon Ball, which can be summoned after gathering all the dragon balls, upon which it will grant a wish.]
What would the Saiyans think? Akira Toriyama was probably going to cry!
Miao Tian was the first to come to her senses. “Shenron, I want to be taller, I want to be 1.7 meters tall!”
Xiao Chou was the next to follow suit. “Shenron, I want to be more handsome, like the Great Sage of Heaven, the Monkey King! ”
With the opportunity for a wish to be granted, everyone naturally stated their wishes as quickly as possible, in case they were too late and missed out.
Luo Ziping: “I want a peerless cultivation method!”
Zong Yongyan: “I want to be the smartest person in the world!”
Sun Shenglian: “I… I want to be the most beautiful woman in the world.”
An Lin couldn’t think of any immediate wishes he wanted to have granted, and so he only managed to spit one out after everyone else. “I wish for world peace.”
“Puah…”
The horned dragon spat out a solid pillar of water in frustration.
“Are you guys f*cking around with me!?”
His voice was like a clap of thunder, instantly dousing the enthusiasm of An Lin and his group.
Everyone looked at the dragon as if they were looking at a fraudster.
The horned dragon became even more frustrated. What the f*ck was going on, why was it being despised by everyone?
“What is your wish and what item would you like to exchange for it? I have to make it clear from the start, I don’t have a lot of stuff left in my treasure vault, so I hope you can offer something that satisfies me.”
The horned dragon calmed his rage before elaborating.
Exchange?
An Lin and his group were initially taken aback upon hearing this, before coming to a realization.
So the wish it was referring to was an item exchange?
Everyone looked at one another, seeing an identical expression of disdain mirrored on all their faces.
What kind of bullsh*t wish was this? And the dragon was so gallant and righteous when making the offer, what a waste of the Rainbow Cow bones…
The horned dragon’s airways constricted as he took in everyone’s disdainful expressions, it felt as if its asthma was close to being triggered.
If it wasn’t for its easy-going personality and the fact that it had to protect the reputation of the Cloud Mountain Lake Treasure Vault, it probably would’ve killed all of them with a jet of water.
If they didn’t want to exchange, why did they summon him, were they trolling him?
Just as the horned dragon was about to fly into a frenzy of rage, his eyes suddenly lit up as he thought of another possibility.
“Could it be that you guys aren’t here to exchange for treasures, but instead to explore the ruins of the White Cloud Lake?”
Ruins?
Everyone’s eyes lit up upon hearing this, and their adventurer’s spirit began to ignite.
They were desperately looking for an excuse to refuse the horned dragon’s bullsh*t wish, but didn’t know what to say. After all, if their excuse wasn’t good enough, they might incur the wrath of a powerful being of the Soul Formation Stage cultivation base.
Now that a suitable excuse had been presented to them, they all nodded their heads eagerly.
“Alright then, come with me. The ruins shouldn’t be explored lightly, even if you are looking for the inheritance, it is still important to value your lives, do you understand?” the horned dragon warned.
An Lin and his group had their interest further piqued upon hearing that there was a potential inheritance in the ruins and they bobbed their heads up and down in agreement.
“Open!” the horned dragon spoke in the dragon language as a rift began to appear on the rippling surface of the lake, revealing a passageway that stretched downwards as far as the eye could see.
The horned dragon transformed into a middle-aged man with yellow pupils and a dragon horn.
“Come with me.” the middle-aged man instructed in a calm voice.
Upon seeing the dragon’s human form, An Lin and his group were immediately able to confirm that he was indeed a member of the Dragon Court of the Eastern Seas’ Dragon Clan.
At the end of the passageway, there was a metal gate which still retained its luster and shine despite the erosion of the lake water, giving it a look that was simultaneously sleek and modern, but also vintage and antiquated.
The man handed An Lin a horn, before explaining that they only needed to blow into the horn at the gate and he would appear to accompany everyone out of the White Cloud Lake Ruins.
“Are you guys ready?” the man asked.
An Lin and the others all nodded their heads with solemn expressions. The exploration of ruins would inevitably incur life-threatening danger, but this was something they were already mentally prepared for.
Rumble…
The gate opened, but a light blue film of light still encompassed the opening.
“There is a restrictive array formation on the gate. I cannot enter as I am already Soul Formation Stage, so the rest is up to you guys.” the man instructed.
An Lin and the others all stepped through the gate uneasily.
An Lin did not know why, but he felt as if his whole body had just been scanned after striding through the blue film of light. It was quite a peculiar feeling.
The gate began to close and the man from the Dragon Clan closed the passageway into the lake before standing in silence by the lake, seemingly deep in thought.
“How long has it been… who would have thought that there are still cultivators who want to throw their lives away…
“So be it, I should report this to master Tianyu.”
…
At the summit of the Cloud Mountain, Lin Junjun carefully positioned another blank canvas in front of her.
This time, she had to redraw the painting that was ruined.
She didn’t rip up that hilarious white crane painting, instead stowing it away in her collection to act as a warning, as well as to remind herself not to forget a certain bastard.
Lin Junjun’s soft features were filled with determination and her heart was as still as calm water. She gradually fell into a trance-like state and proceeded to draw her first stroke.
At this moment, the voice transmission talisman suddenly vibrated.
Lin Junjun’s wispy brows furrowed slightly as she waved a delicate hand to retrieve the voice transmission talisman. “What is it?”
“Master Tianyu, there is another group of cultivators who have voluntarily come to explore the ruins of the 88th Purple Star Research Institute.” a respectful male voice sounded from the voice transmission talisman.
“Oh? What does their party consist of?” As calm as she usually was, even she couldn’t help but stir a little upon hearing this news.
“One Spirit Nurturing Intermediate Stage, one Spirit Nurturing Initial Stage, three Tenth Stage Dao Body, and one Ninth Stage Dao Body.”
Lin Junjun nodded her head. “Hopefully they’re able to gain something from their exploration. If they are able to obtain any additional information, they would be considered heroes of the Heavenly Court, bring them to see me for their reward if that time comes.”
“Yes, Master Tianyu!”
The voice transmission talisman cut off into silence.
Lin Junjun shook her head and focused once again on the canvas in front of her.
She didn’t really have high expectations for a party like this.
They weren’t exactly a weak party, but they definitely couldn’t be considered as a strong one either.
The ruins could only be accessed by cultivators that were lower than the Soul Formation Stage cultivation base, so the ideal party would be one formed solely by Spirit Nurturing Final Stage cultivators.
However, after a few of these so-called ideal parties had been vanquished in the ruins, very few cultivators wanted to step into the ruins again. After all, everyone valued their lives.
Hence, this party was probably the strongest one in about ten years?
“So be it, seeing as they are so courageous…
“Regardless of whether they obtain any additional information from the ruins, I’ll give them a reward as long as they manage to come out alive.”
Lin Junjun muttered to herself as she picked up her paintbrush.
