I Can't Escape The Baby's Father After Returning Novel - Chapter 85
Chapter 85: Wedding (2)
When Melanda walked out of the house and saw the wedding car, she was stunned.
There was a carriage parked in front of the door. Yes, a real carriage. White carriage, white horse. The outside of the carriage was decorated with bright roses. It was so beautiful.
“Mom, can I ride in this carriage with you? It’s so beautiful,” Millie called out happily.
“Of course, baby. Daddy prepared this just the way you like it, didn’t he?”
Millie had always hoped her parents would have a wedding as dreamy as those in a Disney movie.
They got into the carriage and the others got into the car.
The team slowly moved forward. Mike’s house was very close, and they arrived quickly. Mike’s father and other relatives and friends were waiting at the door.
Melanda’s mother got out first with Millie. Mike’s father walked forward and helped Melanda out, then handed her to Melanda’s mother.
Melanda’s mother led the bride to the door and waited there for the wedding to officially begin.
Millie stood in front with the flower basket, while the bridesmaids stood on both sides behind her.
There was a pretty flower arch at the door, and then a flower-petaled path leading to the lake, where the wedding would be held.
Dressed in a white suit, Mike stood at the other end of the path like prince charming while waiting for the bride to arrive.
Melanda felt like she had walking into her daughter’s fairy tale novel, but her heart was beating faster and faster, reminding her that this happiness was real.
It was right in front of her.
And she was about to step onto this flower road and walk to the side of her lover.
The master of ceremonies reminded them that they could start walking, so the bride’s team began to move forward slowly.
Mike, who was standing on the other end, was also very excited.
He watched as Melanda, dressed in a white veil that showed off her graceful figure, walked towards him from the flowers like a real princess.
Even though life was once filled with difficulties, at this moment, flowers were everywhere, and the sun was slowly rising.
Everything was just right.
He couldn’t help but wipe his eyes so that he could see it more clearly and imprint it all in his mind.
Millie walked to his side first. Mike hugged her and kissed her forehead before letting her sit in the first row.
The bride and her mother were next.
Melanda’s mother’s eyes were filled with tears. She picked up Melanda’s hand and placed it in Mike’s. Then, she said, ‘Mike, I’m giving you my babies. You have to take good care of them. You have to trust each other, support each other, and be happy forever.”
Mike listened attentively and nodded from time to time. He took Melanda’s hand solemnly. It was a hand he was familiar with. It was delicate and boneless, but it always gave him a sense of comfort.
He put her hand to his mouth and kissed it. Then, he said to Melanda’s mother, “Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll take good care of you guys.” Melanda’s mother nodded and sat down beside Millie.
She breathed a sigh of relief and happiness.
Through the veil, Mike could see his bride’s tears. He looked at her affectionately, then turned around and walked to the priest.
The priest smiled at them and nodded to begin. The sun rose slowly from the lake, and the place was surrounded by soft light what a beautiful day.
“Heavenly Father, we are here before you today, filled with happiness and excitement to witness the union of these two brave souls and an amazing couple. Heavenly Father, please hold them in your gentle arms and close to your heart. For this, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ.” The priest began.
“Your marriage journey begins with ‘l do.’ Cherish this bond, because it belongs only to the two of you. Begin each day with gratitude and understanding for each other, and unconditional love will follow. You will have the greatest happiness in your life. Love. Be loved.”
“It’s time to exchange vows and put the ring on your finger. Now, look into each other’s eyes and say your vows,” he said.
They stood facing each other and looked at each other affectionately..
