I Can't Escape The Baby's Father After Returning Novel - Chapter 84
Chapter 84: Wedding (1)
After hanging up, Melanda went to her room and lay on the bed. She closed her eyes and prepared to rest for a while.
Even now, she still didn’t feel that the upcoming wedding was real. When she closed her eyes, it felt like a dream, a beautiful dream that she didn’t want to wake up from, just like countless times before.
She had been dreaming since she was young, but every time she woke up, she was disappointed and confused.
Now, the dream was about to become reality.
She felt so lucky and blessed.
She touched her stomach and felt incomparably happy and fulfilled.
“Baby, we have to be in high spirits tomorrow!”
Before she knew it, Melanda was asleep. Sleep was important to a pregnant woman.
“Mommy, you should get up! Grandma said that if you don’t get up, you won’t have time to put on makeup!”
A small voice sounded in her ear. Melanda opened her eyes and saw that it was Millie.
“Good morning, my baby.”
“Good morning, Mommy. You should get up!”
Melanda took her phone and looked at it. It was already five o’clock. God! She had actually slept past the time!
Melanda packed as quickly as she could and rushed to the room where the makeup artist was.
“Good morning, bride. It’s okay, don’t worry. I can get it done in an hour.”
The makeup artist saw how anxious she was and comforted her.
Melanda’s mother brought breakfast into the dressing room.
“Baby, you need to eat something before you put on makeup. Otherwise, you won’t have enough stamina for the entire day. Also, don’t starve the baby in your stomach.”
“Okay, Mom.”
Melanda ate two muffins quickly, drank a glass of milk, and started to have her makeup done.
Sure enough, 40 minutes later, the exquisite and perfect makeup was done.
Fortunately, she had the help of this experienced makeup artist that Mike had hired!
The bridesmaids gathered around the bride, who had already had her makeup put on.
“Melanda, you’re so beautiful! You’re like a fairy!”
“That’s right, this wedding dress is simply perfect!”
“This makeup look is so beautifuL Wait, I have to add the makeup artist’s number. When I get married, I want her to do it for me too!” “Come on, you have to have a boyfriend first!”
The girls giggled and teased, alleviating Melanda’s nervousness.
It was almost time for the wedding. The wedding car was already waiting outside.
There was one last thing.
Melanda’s mother walked over with the veil. She gently covered her daughter’s head with the veil. She looked at this beautiful girl and couldn’t believe that this soft and cute baby who used to be in her arms had suddenly grown up and was about to get married. Her eyes blurred with tears.
“Mom, don’t be like this. If you cry, I will want to cry too. My makeup will be ruined.” Not wanting to let tears flow, Melanda held it in.
“I’m sorry, baby. I couldn’t help it. I’m so happy for you, honey. I thank God for showing you the way to each other. You two are finally together , ” she said very excitedly as she shook her daughter’s hand.
Melanda hugged her mother. “Thank you, Mom. Thank you for always being by my side, for being tolerant, for supporting me, and for helping me. I’ll always love you, Mom.”
She meant it. When her mother found out she was pregnant with Mike’s child, she never blamed her. She respected her decision, and was always there to help her.
Not all parents could do this.
Millie walked over and looked up at her mother. “Mom, you look so beautiful. You look like a real princess, Mom.”
“Thank you, baby. Your pink dress is beautiful too. We both look like princesses, don’t you think?” Melanda asked. Millie nodded eagerly and then grinned.
“I know Dad will be happy to see us, Mom. We have two princesses and a prince in the family. When the brother is born, we’ll have two princes.”
Millie said seriously, and everyone laughed.
“How do you know he will be a brother? We don’t even know he’s a boy or a girl.” Melanda was curious about Millie’s certainty.
“I know because I dreamed of him,” Millie replied seriously.
Maybe Millie was right. Kids didn’t lie. Who knew?
“Okay, it’s time. You guys should go out. Your prince charming can’t wait,” Melanda’s mother said..
