Two days later, it was Dave’s funeral.

After Mandy woke up, she had been crying silently. She didn’t eat, drink, or make a fuss. Her parents and the others were worried.

“Honey, I understand how you feel,” Melanda said as she hugged Mandy. “Your parents, Mike, and I are all with you. We’ll always be with you. Don’t worry about the baby. We’ll help you. Our babies can grow up together, and they’ll definitely be best friends. Now, please pull yourself together for him, okay?”

“But, Melanda, I can’t live without Dave. I can’t live without him.” Mandy finally cried.

Melanda patted her back. “Cry if you want. I’ll stay with you.”

Melanda could understand Mandy’s pain. If it was her, if it was Mike who was dead, she would definitely follow Mike. She wouldn’t be able to live without him. No one could really empathize with this sort of pain and despair.

All she could do was stay with her and face everything to let her know she wasn’t alone.

Everyone told Mandy to stay home and rest instead of going to the funeral, but she refused. She had to see Dave off.

Although there was no wedding yet, Mandy still stood there as Dave’s wife and thanked his colleagues and friends one by one. Melanda supported her.

Everyone’s mood was very heavy. Everyone who came was supposed to be invited to the wedding, but now, the supposedly happy wedding had become a funeral. No one could accept it.

Dave was an orphan. He had no family. But after he started working, since he was a humble person with a strong work ethic, his colleagues and friends approved of him. Everyone felt it was a pity that such a young man had died early.

Everyone sympathized with the poor bride, Mandy.

After the funeral, his friends left.

Melanda supported Melanda. Mike accompanied Mandy’s parents to the small room beside the memorial hall to rest. The police were actually prepared for today’s occasion. “Don’t waste time talking to them. Kill them quickly!” Jeffrey’s voice came from behind Jenny.

“Wait!” Jenny shouted. She pointed the gun at Mike and said, “If I pull the trigger, you’ll be dead.

It’s not too late for you to move!”

Mike stared at her fiercely. “I won’t let you hurt Melanda! The police are outside. Put down your gun while you still can!”

“F*ck! You’re always like this. What’s so good about this woman? You’re always protecting her. It was the same in high school. You scared away all the men who wanted to get close to her, but you wouldn’t even admit that you were in love with her!”

“Jenny, stop! We broke up because you messed around, not because of Melanda!” Mike said loudly.

“Every time you were with me, you kept saying Melanda this and Melanda that. I cheated because I was too jealous! I wanted you to be jealous and pay more attention to me!”
