On this day, Melanda told Mike early in the morning that she was going shopping and eating out with Mandy today.

Mike carefully reminded her not to go to a remote place. She had to be with Mandy at all times. She had to send him a message every hour and so on. Melanda agreed to everything before he left.

She seemed to be more familiar with this closet than the owner did. She quickly picked out a tight-fitting dress.

“Wear this!”

“Uh, I don’t want to wear high heels today. Pick something loose-fitting.”

“VVhat? Why don’t you want to wear high heels?” Mandy muttered without stopping. She found a loose-fitting dress.

“This is good. I’ll take this one.” Melanda was satisfied.

After Melanda got dressed, Mandy helped Melanda style her hair. Then, the two best friends went out.

“Please, can you tell your driver where we’re going now?” Mandy said helplessly.

“Not now. I’ll tell you on the way,” Melanda said mysteriously.

“I really don’t know what to do with you.” Mandy obediently started the car and drove on the road.

Melanda hadn’t dared to touch a car since the car accident, so Mandy didn’t really argue with her. As long as this woman was safe, she would do anything.

Under Melanda’s instructions, they quickly arrived at a clinic beside a mall.

Mandy parked the car and got out. Melanda took her arm and walked toward the clinic.

“Do you remember? When we were young, we said we wanted to get married and be mothers together. Six years ago, you missed Millie’s milestones. Now, I don’t want you to miss it again.” Tears welled up in Mandy’s eyes. She hugged Melanda tightly. “That’s great. I’m so happy.”

“Don’t be happy too soon. I’m not sure yet. I need the doctor to tell me if it’s true.”

Melanda blinked.

“So, does Mike know?” Mandy asked.

“I don’t want to tell him before the news is confirmed. Don’t tell him yet,” Melanda said.

“Okay, I understand!”

“Then let’s go in,” Melanda said.

While waiting for the results, Mandy kept holding Melanda’s hand. Her palms were sweating from nervousness.

Melanda smiled. “Why do I feel like you’re even more nervous than I am?”

“Don’t laugh at me. It’s my first time.”

Soon, the doctor arrived. “Miss Melanda, congratulations. The ultrasound shows that you’re six weeks pregnant.”

Mandy covered her mouth happily.

When she left the clinic, she carefully supported Melanda. Melanda hit her hand. “The baby is still very, very young. You don’t have to be so careful. It’s okay.”
