Chapter 47: Those Uneasy Eyes At Nigh
Mike returned after a quick shower. He was wearing only a pair of boxers. Melanda felt herself blushing. Mike climbed into bed and looked at this shy girl with amusement.
“Baby, do you know how attractive your blushing face is to me?” His voice was hoarse.
Melanda blushed even more. She moaned and hid in Mike’s arms. Mike’s upper body was naked. He felt the heat of Melanda’s blushing face and felt aroused. He lowered his head and gently lifted Melanda’s face with his hand, then kissed her delicate lips affectionately.
“Mike, I love you.”
“I love you, too, baby.”
Mike said as he deepened the kiss. He couldn’t help but stick his tongue in and kiss passionately. Melanda let out a comfortable moan. Mike was aroused all of a sudden, but he knew Melanda had just been discharged. Her body probably couldn’t handle it yet.
“Honey, we have to stop quickly. You’re not completely recovered. If you don’t stop, I won’t be able to hold it in anymore. I want you so much, but I can hold it in until your body can handle it.” Mike stopped first.
Melanda blushed even more. “Thank you, baby. Do you feel uncomfortable? It’s all my fault.”
Looking at the little beauty who was a little apologetic, Mike kissed her lips. “No, honey. I’m not uncomfortable. You’re too tempting. I wanted it as soon as I got close, but I love you. I want you to sleep now and heal quickly. We have a lot of time.” Mike winked.
“Good night, honey. Thank you for making me feel like I’m the sexiest woman in the world.”
Melanda kissed Mike’s chin and hugged Mike’s arm tightly before falling asleep quickly. Mike looked at his sleeping lover and felt very satisfied.
Melanda dreamed of the day of the accident again. The fear and despair overwhelmed her. “Ah!” She woke up. Opening her eyes, she saw herself lying in bed safe and sound. Beside her, there was Mike, who was already asleep. She breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, it was just a nightmare.
She looked at the time. It was only two in the morning. She suddenly felt thirsty and got up to go downstairs to get a glass of water. It was dark outside the window. It was a cloudy day. There was no moonlight or stars. For some reason, she suddenly felt like there was a pair of eyes staring at her in the darkness outside the window. She couldn’t help but shiver.
Melanda shook her head and told herself she was too paranoid. She went downstairs and got a bottle of water from the fridge, then poured the water into a glass.
The entire house was extremely quiet. Everyone was in a deep sleep, and there was no sound at all. After drinking the water, Melanda took the glass to the sink. Just then, she suddenly saw a
shadow move quickly under the tree outside the window! Although it was dark outside, she could still clearly see the shadow move! Melanda’s hair stood on end, and she couldn’t help but cry out, “Ah! There’s someone! Mike, there’s someone there!”
Melanda’s scream was especially piercing during this silent night. She saw Mike rush down the stairs and run to her. “Baby, where is everyone? Are you okay?”
Mike rushed to her side and pulled her into his arms, but Melanda was still trembling. She cried, “There’s someone. There’s someone under that tree in the yard. I saw it!”
“Baby, baby, calm down. I’m here. Don’t be afraid. I’m here.” Mike slapped Melanda’s back and tried to calm her.
Just then, Annie woke up. She came out with a sleepy look in her eyes. “What happened? Baby, are you okay? Why are you outside?”
“Mom, I’m afraid. I came to drink water because I was thirsty. I saw a figure in the yard. She was staring at me. She wanted me dead.” Melanda was still trembling.
Annie saw Melanda in Mike’s arms. She was safe for now. She walked over and turned on the lights in the yard. She looked out, but didn’t see anyone. Then, she wanted to push the door and go out to see.
“Aunt Annie, stay with Melanda. I’ll go see,” Mike said as he asked Melanda to sit on the sofa and then walked out with the flashlight.
He looked around the yard. No one was there, so he came back.
“Baby, I looked everywhere. There was no one. Maybe it was just a branch or a leaf moving.” Mike squatted in front of Melanda.
Annie, who was beside him, said, “Maybe it was a wild cat. They often jump around at night.”
Melanda nodded weakly. “Maybe.”
But she didn’t believe it at all. She clearly saw that shadow and those eyes that were hidden in the darkness.
Who could it be? Who wanted to kill her?.
