“God help us, we have to find that horrible guy quickly,” Aunt Mary murmured as she hugged Millie.

Melanda sat on the sofa in an absent-minded manner. Too much had happened today, and she couldn’t process it all at once. Mike sat beside her and held her hand tightly. Melanda gave Mike a grateful look and smiled weakly.

“If I catch that guy, I’ll beat him up.” Mike’s hand was clenched tightly and his eyebrows were furrowed.

“Who is this person? Is it possible that it’s Hannah? She said a lot of horrible things the day you guys broke up,” Aunt Mary asked.

“I don’t think it’s her. I know Hannah. She’s just sharp-tongued. She’ll forget about it soon after. I’m more suspicious of Jeffrey. Even so, I still don’t believe he would do such a stupid thing, unless he’s crazy,” Mike analyzed in distress.

Melanda leaned her head on Mike’s arm. Mike wrapped his arm around her and kissed her forehead.

Uncle Steve and Aunt Mary smiled at the beautiful couple and said with a smile, “Let’s put this horrible guy aside first and talk about you two. Can anyone tell me when you two got together?” Melanda blushed.

“I decided to take your advice. Last night, I confessed to Melanda. She said she likes me too. I was so lucky. If she had rejected me last night, I wouldn’t dare to imagine how awkward and embarrassing it would have been,” Mike replied after kissing Melanda’s flushed face.

Aunt Mary looked excited. “Thank God! You two silly children finally realized your feelings for each other. You don’t have to continue wasting time. We don’t have to worry about watching you two play ‘hide and seek’ anymore. I’m so happy!’

Everyone laughed at Aunt Maw’s words.

At this moment, the police entered. Uncle Steve hurried over to welcome them.

On the morning of the third day, Melanda decided to go to work, and Millie was going to kindergarten. She couldn’t stay at home forever, could she?

“Baby, are you sure? I happen to have an outing today and can’t go to the office with you.” Mike had been trying to persuade Melanda to stay at home all morning.
