Just as she met Mandy, Melanda heard her phone ring. She glanced at the caller ID and smiled before answering it. “Hi.”

“Hey, babe, where are you?” It was Mike.

“We just got to the bridal shop, babe. I told you I would come with Mandy to try on wedding dresses after work. Are you done with work?” Melanda asked. Mandy’s mouth fell open in surprise and she was eager to know who was on the other end of the phone.

“Yes, babe, I’m done. It’s been a long day. I missed you.” Melanda blushed and giggled like a schoolgirl.

“Stop it. I’ll come find you after I’m finished with work, babe. I have something to tell you.” Melanda had decided to tell him the truth tonight. No matter what happened, she knew Mike would listen and understand. No matter what he said, or if he was angry, Melanda would accept it. She didn’t want any misunderstandings between them.

“Okay, babe, I’ll wait. Don’t make me wait too long, okay? Get your lips ready. Those lips are mine,” he joked again.

“Okay. Bye, babe. See you later.” Melanda said and then she hung up.

“Bye. Be safe. I love you, babe,” he replied.

“I love you too. Bye.” Melanda hung up the phone and bit her lip. She tried to stop herself from screaming.

Looking at Mandy’s anxious expression, Melanda took a deep breath and was about to tell the truth when Millie interrupted.

“My mother and father are together.” These words sounded a little strange when said out loud, but that was it. Mandy’s mouth fell open, and Melanda immediately covered her ears. As expected, a familiar scream sounded.

“That’s great! You actually hid it from me! Mike’s blindness has finally been cured! I’m so happy for you. You guys are finally together.” She looked even more excited than Melanda herself.

The women quickly tried on their wedding dresses and gowns. Before leaving, Mandy suggested that they take a break at the coffee shop nearby. She wanted to hear more details about how Melanda and Mike got together. Just as she sat down, Melanda received a call. She glanced at it.

It was from an unknown number, but she picked it up.

“I’ll come find you!” The voice was extremely creepy. The person probably used a voice changer. Melanda frowned. Who could it be? What did the person want?

Mandy asked, “Are you okay? Who is it?”

“I don’t know. He used a voice changer. He said he was coming for me.”

Was someone pulling a prank? But she had just returned from Manhattan. Not many people knew she was back.

Mandy became nervous too. “Why don’t we call the police?”

“It’s not that serious. Maybe he called the wrong number,” Melanda said while pretending to be indifferent, but she was actually a little worried.

At this moment, her phone rang again. It was a text message. Melanda unlocked the phone, and her expression changed. Mandy leaned over to look. There was a picture on the phone, and the three of them were in the picture that was obviously taken just now! God, this was too scary. Had that person been stalking them?

Melanda grabbed Millie and hugged her tightly. Mandy also felt unnerved. She immediately turned on her phone to call Mike.

“Mike, listen, Melanda and I are at the coffee shop next to the bridal shop. I’ll send you our location immediately. Someone called Melanda threateningly and even sent a text. That person seems to be stalking us. You have to call the police immediately and then pick us up.”

Then she called her fiancé, Dave.
