Upon hearing Melanda’s words, Mike, who was distressed a moment ago, felt relieved. He wrapped his arm around Melanda excitedly and hugged her tightly. “Really? Are you serious? Baby, I’m so happy. I’ve never been so happy.”

Melanda felt the same. She felt like everything was a dream, a dream she had countless times already. “Mike, these past two days have been so surreal. What you said yesterday kept me awake all night. I couldn’t believe you really liked me, until I got confirmation just now, because I dreamed of this countless times. But, I kept telling myself it was just a dream that couldn’t happen in real life. Thank you, Mike, for making my dream come true.”

The two of them hugged each other for a long time and couldn’t bear to let go. It was as if they would lose each other again if they let go.

Even when Melanda woke up the next morning, it didn’t feel real to her, But, when she saw the new message notification on her phone, she confirmed that it was reality.

“Baby, good morning. Did you sleep well?” It was a text from Mike.

Melanda smiled sweetly and replied, “Yes, I slept very well last night. What about you? Did you sleep well?”

“I didn’t sleep well, because I missed you all night.” Mike’s text came quickly. Why didn’t she realize before that Mike was so good at flirting? Melanda blushed.

“Okay, get up quickly. Otherwise, you’ll be late.”

“Baby, I forgot to tell you that I’m going out to see an important client today and can’t take you to the office. I’m sorry, baby. But, can I treat you to dinner?”

“Okay. Drive carefully.”

After sending this, Melanda stretched and went to the living room.

“Good morning, Mom.” Millie had already washed up and was eating breakfast. It seemed like she was up a little late.

“Good morning, baby.” Melanda bent down and kissed Millie. She went to her mother, who was in the kitchen. “Thank you for taking care of Millie for me, Mom. I love you.’

“Good morning, baby. This is something I’m happy to do. You, on the other hand, look happy. Is there any good news to share? By the way, I saw Mike send you back last night.” Melanda’s mom winked at her.

“Mom, we’re together,” Melanda said shyly.

“Oh, baby, I’m so happy for you. I could tell from the day you got back that Mike treated you differently.” Melanda’s mom felt emotional.

“Really? Mom, you’re with Dad?” Millie was even more excited.

“Yes, baby, you didn’t hear wrong, ” Melanda said while touching Millie’s hair.

Melanda’s mother gave her a questioning look, and Melanda immediately understood what her mother meant. “Mom, I haven’t had a chance to say it. I’m a little worried. What if he gets very angry and doesn’t forgive me?”

“Honey, I won’t rush you. But, you have to know that the longer this drags on, the worse it will be. You have to hurry.”

At this moment, Melanda’s phone rang. She looked at the phone happily and saw that it was Mandy. She immediately picked it up.

“Hi, gorgeous. I want to invite you and Millie to try on dresses for my wedding with me after work today. ”
