Hyper Luck - Chapter 81
Chapter 81. Wizard of the White Tower
“This isn’t right!”
“But think about it. This plan is more solid and firm than the seed of Flore!”
“No matter how many times I think about it, all the other plans besides this one are awful!”
“Be quiet, both of you! And it’s a disgrace in itself to use that word ‘awful’!”
“You’re right.”
“Sorry, I’ll keep that in mind.”
“We have earned a precious chance to melt down the ‘rotten chocolate packaged in a dirty lie called the administrator’! We have to be much more cautious!”
“So, what did you do with ‘that woman’?”
“I’m casting ‘sleep’ on her every 4 hours. I know I can’t use cast devices in order to make this plan as solid as the seed of Flore. So I’m casting it on her myself.”
“Then she must be fast asleep!”
Whispers in the air were coming from multiple directions in the place where the heavy and dark veil had descended.
“And that administrator?”
“He unleashed desperate defense magic with his filthy tongue!”
“That’s even better! He must be humiliated with both of his eyes wide open!”
After a while, several heavy and dull sounds were heard. And soon, a bright light began to dispel the dark veil that had spread all over the room.
However, that light couldn’t defeat the darkness entirely. Only a part of it was lit like a flashlight illuminating the cave.
And in one part of that illumination,
Someone’s face appeared.
It was ‘Kellion’.
He was chained to a stone pillar, his body hanging from it.
“It’s not too late yet! Stop this madness at once!”
Kellion cried out, his body bare naked and sweaty all over.
At his shout, a man appeared in front of him.
A tall man wearing a blue robe with purple embroidery immediately pulled out a small wand from his inner pocket and swung it straight at Kellion’s side.
Even though the wand didn’t hit Kellion’s side directly, there was a clear dent on Kellion’s side.
As if he was struck by an invisible iron marble.
“Guh…Aargh!”
“The sounds coming out of that filthy vocal cord of yours have no place in this ‘White Tower’!”
“Haha! It seems that you didn’t even cast any defense magic on your body because you were too busy trying to defend Dasro’s mental magic! For 7 days straight! You’ve got some rotten pride in you, I’ll give you that much!”
“I’ll make sure to record in detail how long you last!”
The man in the blue robe swung his wand as hard as he could once again, this time to Kellion’s other side, and the dull sound of the strike resounded through the room.
“Ugh!”
And at the same time, Kellion’s groan erupted from his mouth.
“Did you really think that you could get away with messing around with the White Tower?”
“Not even you can’t escape from us!”
The voices that had been pressuring Kellion in the dark began to appear under the faint ray of light.
The other two men, dressed in red and black robes, also had a short wand in their hands.
“Cast physical enhancement magic on yourself!”
“Or else your body will be mashed like the meat sold at Davig’s butcher shop!”
“We’re not just bluffing here!”
A moment later, the three of them began to swing their wands frantically surrounding Kellion.
The wands never directly touched Kellion’s body, but as soon as the wand came close to Kellion’s body, his entire body began to dent as if an invisible iron marble had been embedded in Kellion’s body.
“Guuh… Argh! Lard… El… Par…”
Writhing in pain as he was beaten so intense to the point that the cold sweat on his face spurted away, Kellion eventually cast a spell in a low voice.
However, after a while, Kellion’s upper body began to shake violently, and soon the blue veins from the nape of his neck began to appear.
“Insolent bastard! He tried to speak the rune of the wind until the end!”
“Fuck it! Let’s just do that!”
“We haven’t had enough fun to decorate the end yet!”
The blue veins began to fade from the nape of Kellion’s neck, who dropped his head without being able to finish his cast.
“You have no mana left in your body, do you really think you could’ve done something?”
“I don’t know where you’ve wasted all your mana on, but without any mana left in your body, you’re worth less than trash!
As they shouted triumphantly, Kellion started to cough loudly.
“Hosfoy, Jarrenveil, and Hargan. You three never really changed, huh.”
“What… You bastard!”
“You dare to speak of our names!”
“How dare you!”
The three men in robes reacted violently to Kellion’s words and began to pull out their wands again.
However, Kellion seemed to give no attention to that at all as he laughed in exhaustion.
“You three always tried to catch up to my skills, with that worthless, and garbage of talent.”
Kellion said to them.
Without answering, the man in the blue robe swung the wand with all his might, and the recoil took off his blue hood.
The man had sharp ears like an awl with a well-groomed, slicked-back hairstyle with white-blonde hair.
There was a lot of anger on his face.
“You do realize how serious the crime of arbitrarily changing a wizard’s teleport coordinates using the ‘Telope’, right?”
Kellion accused the angry man.
“Were you so ignorant that you didn’t even know about this?”
“You little…! There is no limit to the power that my family…”
“Shut up, Hosfoy. You son of a bitch. One thing for sure is that you’re a worthless, and lousy piece of shit, and that’s so damn clear that it can even overshadow the Bellica in the morning.”
Bam!
As soon as Kellion finished speaking, a banging sound erupted.
The man in the red robe swung the wand as hard as he could and struck Kellion’s left shoulder.
Still, Kellion glared at Hosfoy with scorching eyes.
“It’s just that I was lucky enough to get better grades than you guys. You and I were just classmates. Did you really have to go this far just because I was a player with an ambiguous background?”
Then he began to make a sincere appeal.
Then Hosfoy stared into the air for a moment and then he lowered his head.
“True.”
As if resigning, Hosfoy raised his head again and looked at Kellion.
But as the corners of his mouth began to rise, and the contours of his cheekbones began to emerge, Kellion quickly clenched his molars.
“We had to take a year off because of the overseers who were tricked by that filthy tongue of yours. Even the overseers would’ve been furious if they found out that you were a player.”
“A dirty player whose origins are unknown became a wizard? This is White Tower’s greatest disgrace!”
Hosfoy’s wand moved this time towards Kellion’s head.
From top to bottom, immediately after that relentless movement, a sharp, and terrifying sound resounded through the space.
Whack!
Kellion’s two eyes turned over and his vision became very blurry. And an abnormally clear phrase appeared in front of him.
< You have been affected by ‘stun’. >
< Your HP is less than 20%. >
“Huff… Huff…!”
He let out harsh breaths.
Saliva leaked out of his mouth without him noticing.
Kellion knew that virtual reality games could provide a great sense of realism and immersion, but he never imagined it would be this much.
In the battle against the Prince of Rebellion, he had teleported Sharan out of that place in order to save her.
He wanted to teleport to the Toica’s spacial stone.
However, in an unexpected turn, Kellion’s teleportation coordinates were forcibly changed to the White Tower of Lundebarun due to external manipulation.
And he was ambushed by those three people as soon as he arrived at the White Tower.
So Sharan, without a clue about the current situation, was knocked unconscious with the ‘sleep’ spell after teleporting with Kellion. And Kellion, who had spent all his mana after the teleportation, was put in this very bad situation.
“Huff…! Huff…!”
Kellion tried everything in his power to stop himself from disconnecting as much as possible as he let out very harsh breathing. He seized his will and put strength in his eyes.
Even though he still had a little bit of HP left, that didn’t mean that he could survive this situation.
This game counted even the ‘mindset’ as a spec in a player, so if he had given up on himself in this situation, he would’ve gone unconscious the moment he was affected by the ‘stun’ status effect.
And if that really happened, then Kellion would’ve opened his eyes in the real world after being forcefully disconnected from the game.
However, it could not end this easily.
In order to make that three pay for their misdeeds, and for Sharan’s safety, who had been pulled into this situation without even knowing why.
At the same time, Kellion felt grateful for the experience of a car accident that happened to him when he was younger.
The pain he was in was tolerable since he had to spend all his school life with the severe aftermath of the car accident.
“Inven…to…”
He tried to call out his inventory in a very small voice as he continued to let out harsh breaths, but
“Did you think we wouldn’t understand the player’s language?”
Said Hosfoy who lowered his head and looked into Kellion’s eyes as he smiled coldly.
The eyes of Hosfoy, a student at the top of the food chain that can often be seen within the school system, were always full of confidence.
“Trying to be sneaky until the very end, huh!”
The wand struck Kellion’s stomach once again.
Kellion’s back shook at the shock of the wand swung from under.
“Cough…!”
“Now, let me tell you about our plan.”
Grabbing Kellion by his hair, Hosfoy shouted in his face, spitting out of his mouth.
“First of all, about your lover.”
At Hosfoy’s cynical remarks, the other two started shouting from the back.
This too was nothing but just a mockery.
“I recall there was the ‘Homunculus Lab’ located in the basement of the White Tower?”
“You bastard…!!”
Kellion reacted violently to what Hosfoy said. Hosfoy made a satisfied expression for the first time.
“She will be a very important test subject since she’s a player. She’s an immortal! We’d be able to experiment with a lot of things! I could use her as a dummy to find out how much of a homunculus’s normal combat power is.”
Hosfoy tossed Kellion’s head away. And this time, he came close to his ear, wrapped around the back of his neck, and whispered in a creepy voice.
“Maybe it is possible to experiment very closely and in detail whether homunculus reproduction is possible or not?”
“You son of a bitch!”
“She will be a great graduation project for us.”
Then he stood up and quickly rubbed the sweat on his hand from Kellion on his robe.
“And you will take the important role in elevating us to the ‘Advanced wizard’.”
As Hosfoy finished speaking, the two men standing behind him appeared in front of Kellion as they pulled a gigantic magical instrument.
At that sight, Kellion dropped his head and trembled in despair for the first time.
“Y…You people,… Just how insane have you gone…?”
[Daclamath’s Kaleidoscope]
Class: Magical Instrument
Rank: Legendary
Weight: 285.76kg
History: A warning to future generations. Daclamath’s kaleidoscope is strictly forbidden from its activation under any circumstances.
The act of forcibly opening the door of another dimension using a medium is certainly an opportunity to encounter a vast amount of unbelievable knowledge, but the risk is too high.
The item window had red smoke coming from its golden outlines. Although it looked like an effect of a general legendary item, it was clearly different in many ways.
Kellion knew very well exactly what that thing was.
“Kellion, you will be the key to opening up the gate to a different dimension. Honestly, nobody knows what will happen when we use a player as the medium for the item, right?”
Hosfoy’s eyes lit up in bloody color.
We are taking our first steps into that unknown realm of knowledge, the pioneers!”
At that moment, in front of Kellion,
A window dotted with golden words began to rise.
