Hyper Luck - Chapter 68
Chapter 68. Mose, the Magnificent
The world’s largest community website <Circuit Master>, which was said to be used by 90% of players of <Circuit>. And on that website, there existed a forum that was known to be updated the fastest and even overload the server whenever a major event occurred in <Circuit>.
Incidents and Accident board.
Also known as IAB.
Hundreds of thousands of posts were being uploaded every day to this place where various incidents and accidents in the game were posted.
Even in ordinary online games, various incidents happened. And in virtual reality, where everything was possible, unimaginable things often happened.
Among the posts uploaded by victims of such incidents, there were some posts written in bold text.
This was a privilege that only those who had a character job related to the ‘Information Guild’ could enjoy.
Simply put, they were like internet journalists reporting the events that occurred in <Circuit>.
Therefore, that kind of post had an incredibly huge amount of views compared to other ordinary posts.
And even among them, there stood out a post with an explosive amount of views compared to other reports, with its title written in blazing bold texts at the top of the forum.
[The Ugly Side of <NGTEC>, and Mose.]

The view count had already reached the top 3 in the history of IAB.
Considering that in order to have a blazing effect on the post title, it had to record more than 20 million views within 6 hours, it was clear that this was the story talked about the most on the circuit right now.
[A ‘Major company’ <NGTEC>, which had achieved remarkable growth in a short amount of time, has gone down the road of downfall in just over one day, giving many people a shock.
On the night of the incident, the factory in Azharus, where the headquarter of NGTEC was located, called the ‘Water Seed Factory’ according to the locals, was burned down.
In order to explain this, I cannot go without mentioning the previous incident at the famous entertainment bar ‘Troll Tongue’ in Azharus.
On the day the NGTEC factory was burnt down, as soon as a player report regarding the great commotion at the Troll Tongue was received, Azharus vigilantes and three informants including myself were dispatched.
And when we entered the Troll Tongue, the bodies of members of the <Pickup Artist> guild, which were classified as ‘elimination target’ due to their notoriety within the Information Guild, were scattered all over the place.
According to the testimonies of people around, ‘a half-elf and a man who appeared to be immortal entered the Troll Tongue.’ There was no evidence other than that. Everyone had the same eyewitness accounts, so this must have been caused by the two of them.
It was a very surprising event that only two people took down the infamous <Pickup Artist> guild of Azharus.
Guild Master Jason was an alchemist of considerable skill and was already famous, in a bad way, of course, among many players as a player with unique level items.
After the investigation at the Troll Tongue was over, our informants unanimously concluded it as a ‘result of a very short exchange’. This was very close to a one-sided massacre that it could not be called a ‘battle’.
There weren’t many players or NPCs that can annihilate the <Pickup Artist> guild in a very short time with just two people, whose level was as great as its notoriety.
In the process of collecting information and repairing the Troll Tongue, information was received that a major fire had occurred in the factory of <NGTEC>. It was an extremely busy day for us.
I headed there since I was at the nearest location. And I was able to see the player and the NPC leaving the burning factory.
It was them.
However, they had their backs against the burning lights, and it was impossible to clearly recognize their impressions because they were surrounded by a dark forest.
The next day, Azharus held a trial on the case of arson of the NGTEC factory.
And in the process, very shocking facts began to emerge one by one.
The fact that the manufacturer of the recently popular drug ‘Vanetic’ was <NGTEC>!
The ugly truth of <NGTEC> and Choi SeopHo who was known as the representative director of <NGTEC> was revealed to the world. It had become clear that the <NGTEC> and the <Pickup Artist> guild had worked together to distribute the ‘Vanetic’ with the purpose of sexually harassing female NPCs of Azharus.
As a result of the trial, Choi SeopHo and the Adult of Swamps was sentenced to the ‘Medeium Spell Prison’, and so did all the members of the <Pickup Artist> guild.
In addition, Choi SeopHo, the instigator of the case, was also confirmed to be sentenced to the ‘Medeium Spell Prison’, but it is said that his lawyers are putting his connection to the game on hold.
Choi SeopHo, as mentioned earlier, caused many scandals within the society several times in reality, and he was even sentenced to probation for being arrested for drug dealing and usage.
It is such an ironic situation, considering that <NGTEC>, is a potion manufacturer responsible for the lives of many players.
The trial was conducted by the ‘Adults’ which were the committee of the city, and ‘Platinum Head’ dispatched from the Information Guild according to the tradition of Azharus. And of course, the viewing of the trial was prohibited to the general public.
Because of this, we could not see the faces of the two people who uncovered all the truth of this incident at the trial. This was because the Platinum Head’s great power guaranteed their anonymity, so no one has seen their faces except those present at the trial.
However, this reporter knows who he is!
Everyone who reads this article will know a name that is constantly being mentioned on all of the forums on Circuit Master.
‘Mose’
The honor ranking system has been implemented as soon as the ‘Eyes of the New Mankind’ was discovered. And the name of the person who took first place in this ranking with an overwhelming number was Mose.
The reporter is convinced that he is the one who uncovered the big drug scandal that took place in Azharus!
Some may dismiss this statement as nothing more than just a baseless opinion. However, allow me to present evidence to support it as a sufficiently logical fact.
Currently, the ‘Golden Ship’, the most famous airship among players, is anchored in the dock of Azharus.
What does this indicate?
It indicates that the player who had suddenly appeared and led to the clear of the Asparagan Troll Patch quest, the <Prince of Rebellion>, is staying at Azharus right now!
Wouldn’t that mean that the person who cleared the Azharus hidden quest of <Prince of Drugs> is most likely to be the owner of the Golden Ship?
The player who hard-carried through the <Prince of Rebellion> quest, wouldn’t have a hard time clearing the hidden quest of Azharus!
At least this logic makes sense!
Also, as he is the one who cleared two large quests in a row, considering that his reputation stat would be very high unlike average players and that he had a floating boat that was difficult for even a large company to own,
The one who owns the Golden Ship, the one who defeated the Prince of Rebellion, and the one who revealed the ugly side of NGTEC to the surface, must be the person ranked first on the honor ranking, Mose!]
It was a natural result that a lot of players of <Circuit Master> were interested in this post.
Also, there were an overwhelming number of comments on the post that it would be impossible for someone to go over them within a few days.
[This dumbass reporter lol. This post was doing great until he started writing some fiction. It was concluded that the Golden Ship isn’t owned by a player in other threads a long time ago lmao!]
[I know Mose who is the Guildmaster of the <Forian> guild personally. I’m pretty sure he’s first place in the ranking.]
[Yup. I also heard that the Guildmaster of the <Forian> guild is the one ranked first on the honor ranking. There’s proof if you go to the other forum.]
[I heard it was the NPC that carried his ass, no?]
[According to the Information Guild’s research right after the ranking was revealed, there were over 10k people who had the name ‘Mose’. Hey, Mr. Reporter. Which Mose are you talking about in the post? This one or that one??]
The exposed comments with the most upvotes pinned on the top of the comment section were showing a negative attitude toward the article.
[My boyfriend withdrew from doing the drug and was cured thanks to the alchemist!]
[All the people who called him a ‘dirty last hitter’ are all gone now that he cleared a hidden quest all by himself lmfao]
[I’ve only been using potions bought from NGTEC until now… This is terrible…]
[Thanks to this incident, NGTEC potions are being sold cheap for 200 bronze in Langeru right now. Anyone interested, I suggest you buy them now.]
There were many players who expressed their gratitude or criticized the negative comments posted in Prince of Rebellion the other day and felt betrayed after realizing the reality of NGTEC. However, the percentage of those kinds of comments was small.
This article written by ‘Unown’ initially stated the facts, but at the end of the article, he started presenting his predictions which had many loopholes in the logic, thereby lowering the credibility of the entire article.
In the end, the post became a battleground for comments and ended up being deleted by the moderator in less than a day after it was uploaded.
But as it turned out, there was nothing wrong with what he said.
However, even this player named ‘Unown’ could not be free from the immutable law that premature speculation can make even the clearest truth a lie

The first time I opened my status window after Pharah’s funeral ended, it was filled with very unfamiliarly high numbers.
After receiving bonus stats that have drastically increased ever since I passed the level 60 mark, and equipping the Varabanderon’s earrings, my overall stats and specs have been raised to the point where they just could not be compared to when I was only level 61.
At this moment, I had to wonder what I could accomplish and achieve with these stats.
With no intentions to joke, I felt like I could push and roll this giant rock in front of me with one finger like rolling a snowball.
“Skill Window.”
Then I called for the skill window.

The various skills in the window filled my sight.
There were many twists of fate in the process of acquiring each skill, but now they all have become a strong source of strength for me.
“Mose, are you really giving this to me?”
Khea slammed the door open and came in, with an excited expression on her face, she showed off her new leather armor in front of me.
The black leather armor stuck tightly to her entire body. It fit her nicely along her smooth lines, and the empty parts of the armor were filled with dense chain armor.
That leather armor was the ‘Trap of the Black Mountain Set’ that I used to equip.
I decided to give it to her since it was an item that I no longer used, and all of her equipment became worn out in the battles that we went through together.
At first, I was worried about how to fix the leather armor which was designed to fit my body.
However, all my worries were lost when I handed the armor to her last night, and the leather armor automatically turned into the size that fit her with a bright light.
And so she thought it was a gift that I had been preparing for her for a long time and was very grateful.
“How’s the leather armor? Do you like it?”
“Of course! This is the Black Mountain’s leather, right? It’s super expensive, isn’t it!?”
“Wouldn’t you be able to defeat a Black Mountain with ease, Khea?”
“Yeah, but a Black Mountain never appears in front of me!”
She quickly responded to my mischievous words.
She seemed to have sent away all her sorrows after she finished the funeral for Pharah.
And with a smile on her face, she opened her mouth.
“Now then… Shall we leave?”
“Are you all ready?”
“…Yup!”
She paused for a moment. But then shortly after, she nodded her head with a smile on her face. She only stayed in Azharus for a little bit, but all of her tanned skin was gone as she shined bright in white color.
“Mose, are you ready?”
“Of course, I am. As you already know, I don’t really have any luggage that I need to carry around.”
“I get more jealous of you immortals the more I see you.”
“Why, ‘cause we don’t die?”
“Because you are free from your luggage.”
She turned back and opened the door as she lightly answered my question. I also got up from my seat, following after her.
“Well, I’m not really free from luggage, I don’t think.”
I said as I passed by her stepping out to grab Khea’s luggage in the hallway. Then I heard her laughter tickling the back of my neck.
“Even the immortals all have a different innate destiny!”
“Ah, yes. I have this kind of destiny, I see~”
The smile on her face faded away after we exchanged a few jokes with each other.
“Let’s go. To Tikris.”
“Yes. To Tikris.”
