Global Game: I, the Necromancer, am the scourge - Chapter 253:
Chapter 253: Chapter 215: Come down~ Land and become a box! Come up~ Airborne snack!
Zi Liyuan looked up at the Black Dragon in the sky releasing Dragon Spells.
His thoughts were a whirlwind, and his Spirit had firmly locked onto the three Black Dragons, ensuring he wouldn’t lose track of his targets.
At the same time, he gave instructions to the remaining Bone Dragons to knock down these three Black Dragons at any cost.
He had figured it out, despite the presence of twenty-one Black Dragon Lord Bosses, only three were the real deal, the rest were mere copies!
He also discovered that although the copies were physically as robust as the originals and inherited all the attributes of a Black Dragon’s physique, they could not use magic!
Otherwise right now, in the sky, it wouldn’t just be three Black Dragons chanting Dragon Spells, but all twenty-one, possibly even combining their powers to unleash a Minor Forbidden Spell.
“Fortunately, if that were the case, a single Minor Forbidden Spell could potentially lead to my total annihilation.”
He felt a mix of relief and irritation.
When had Zi Liyuan started to rely on luck?
In the past, hadn’t he been invincible through sheer strength?
At this moment, his eyes emitted an extremely dangerous aura. He took a deep look at the three Black Dragons in the sky, then turned his gaze towards the depths of Dragon Island.
“Whether you’re conspiring against the Great Xia Empire’s army or someone else, now that I’m caught in the crossfire, we’ve got a score to settle. It’s a fight to the death, for sure! Accelerate, charge!”
A wave of “damage amplification” curses was scattered about, regardless of how much their effect was weakened or how much the duration was reduced, as long as they had some effect.
The horde of Undead Bosses immediately unleashed their strongest moves on the affected monsters group, flinging out various powerful skills.
Of course, leading the charge like an arrowhead, the Frost Giant Beasts and Gold Behemoths charged furiously into the monster horde, their sharp claws tearing wildly into their enemies.
In the wake of the four behemoths, the ground was littered with torn bodies everywhere.
But just as they had burst forward barely a hundred meters, sporadic fire rain began to fall from the sky.
In the blink of an eye, the sky turned crimson, and boiling waves of fire swept across the ground.
All those drenched by the fire rain ignited as if the rain were some sort of accelerant, burning continuously on contact with any material.
The screams of Zombies began to rise and fall in waves, then, under the burning of the fire rain, flame rapidly covered their entire bodies. The intense heat slowly carbonized their bodies until they crumbled into ash, falling to the ground as piles of charred dust.
Forget about any undead resilience, being able to resurrect and stand up as a good Zombie once more.
This was truly a way to eradicate all traces; with the bodies and bones turned to ash, how could one speak of resurrection!
Fortunately, the Wraith Mage team cast their spells quickly, successfully casting in unison to form a Barrier of Death, shielding themselves as well as many of the frontline Undead Bosses from the fire rain.
Together with the Elemental Shields cast by the four Hydra Monsters, they managed to withstand the incessant burning onslaught of the fire rain, preventing it from breaking through their dual-layered defense.
The fire rain lasted a full thirty seconds, covering a range of over a thousand meters.
When the fire rain ended, most of the thousand-meter radius had turned to white ash, save for the areas protected by the Death Barrier conjured by the Wraith Mages, which remained intact.
Where the land was turned to white ash, a thick layer of bone dust settled, devoid of any surviving creatures.
“As expected, the real world is not like a dungeon; this kind of AOE spell is indiscriminate, affecting friend and foe alike.”
The Zombie army suffered heavy losses; such an AOE Dragon Spell burned to death nearly ten thousand Zombies in one fell swoop.
However, the Black Dragon faction’s Dragonkin descendants were also partially killed or injured; although they had high resistances, they couldn’t completely ward off the scorch of the fire rain.
Moreover, those burnt Dragonkin were then picked off by the Undead Bosses under Zi Liyuan’s command, dying even quicker.
Lord Zi didn’t mind the sheer number of Zombie casualties; they were just ordinary corpses, easily packaged in any dungeon.
It was the death of the several rare Zombie Bosses, mixed within the mob and failing to seek refuge within the Barrier of Death, that annoyed him.
These Boss-class Undead weren’t just summoned through skills; instead, they were created by utilizing resources and elevating their life rank, becoming kings of their kind.
All these Undead Bosses had Soul contracts planted in them by him, not expendable like ordinary Undead to be used as cannon fodder.
Now, with each death, precious resources would be wasted to train them anew.
Luckily, the Zombie King didn’t die, and the loss was only a few rare Zombie Bosses. Such small Bosses didn’t consume too many resources, all thanks to the alchemical skills of the four sisters Fan Yuer.
Once the Dragon Spell ceased, Zi Liyuan threw out a mass of bodies again, directing the rare Zombie Bosses to continue infecting and quickly replenishing the depleted Zombie army.
Lord Zi, with his team of Bosses, continued to push deep into the heart of Dragon Island.
I’m blatantly charging into the heart of Dragon Island; if any Black Dragons flying in the sky dare to stop me, come on down.
I’m simply taking advantage of the fact that amongst the Giant Dragons, Black Dragons aren’t particularly strong with Dragon Spells and can’t join forces to unleash more powerful Minor Forbidden Spells.
The Wraith Mage team, along with the four epic Hydra Monster Bosses, can totally withstand the Black Dragon’s Dragon Spells, ensuring the main force of the Undead army remains unharmed.
If it were the Sprite Dragons or any other elemental Giant Dragons, Zi Liyuan wouldn’t dare to disregard them like this because that would simply be suicidal.
